Abstract
Description
上述したような本発明は、無線ランモジュールと移動通信モジュールとが共に搭載された端末機がサービス中である無線ランAPを介してサービスを提供されようとする時、移動通信モジュールを介して基地局が提供する放送情報で現在サービス中である無線ランAPの存在有無情報を取得し、サービス中である無線ランAPが存在する場合のみに無線ランサービスを行うようにすることによって、瞬間ごとに現在サービス中である無線ランAPを探索することにより、自体の電源を浪費する問題を解決でき、また、前記過程を端末機が自動的に処理するようにすることによって、電源の浪費を心配して無線ランAP探索をユーザが手動的に処理する問題を解決できる効果がある。
Claims (6)
- 移動通信端末機の無線ランAP探索装置において、
基地局のサービス領域内で提供される放送情報を通じて現在サービス中である無線ランAPが存在するか否かを判別するための無線ランサービス判別手段と、
前記無線ランサービス判別手段の判別結果に応じて、隣接無線ランAPが送出するビーコン信号を検出し、動作中である無線ランAPを介してデータサービスを提供されるための無線ランサービス手段と
を含む移動通信基地局の放送情報を用いた無線ランAP自動探索装置。 - 前記移動通信端末機は、
無線ランモジュールと移動通信モジュールとが共に搭載された2重モード端末機であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信基地局の放送情報を用いた無線ランAP自動探索装置。 - 前記基地局の設置の際、
無線ランAPが存在するところにサービス領域を調整した基地局を設けることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信基地局の放送情報を用いた無線ランAP自動探索装置。 - 無線ランAP探索装置に適用される無線ランAP探索方法において、
移動通信端末機が移動通信モジュールを介して基地局のサービス領域内で提供される放送情報を取得する第1のステップと、
取得された前記放送情報に基づいて、現在サービス中である無線ランAPが存在するか否かを確認する第2のステップと、
前記第2のステップの確認の結果に応じて、隣接無線ランAPが存在する場合に、無線ランモジュールを駆動して周期的に送出される無線ランAPのビーコン信号を検出することにより、動作中である無線ランAPを介してデータサービスを提供される第3のステップと
を含む移動通信基地局の放送情報を用いた無線ランAP自動探索方法。 - 前記放送情報は、
既存の放送情報に無線ランAP存在有無情報が加えられて、周期的に基地局のサービス領域に進入する全ての移動通信端末機を対象として放送されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の移動通信基地局の放送情報を用いた無線ランAP自動探索方法。 - プロセッサを備えた無線ランAP探索装置に、
移動通信端末機が移動通信モジュールを介して基地局のサービス領域で提供される放送情報を取得する第1の機能と、
取得された前記放送情報に基づいて、現在サービス中である無線ランAPが存在するか否かを確認する第2の機能と、
前記第2の機能の確認の結果に応じて、隣接無線ランAPが存在する場合に、無線ランモジュールを駆動して周期的に送出される無線ランAPのビーコン信号を検出することにより、動作中である無線ランAPを介してデータサービスを提供される第3の機能と
を実現させるためのプログラムを記録したコンピュータ読み取り可能な記録媒体。
