Abstract
【解決手段】 導光板12と、該導光板12の側面12aを入光面とし該入光面に近接配置された光源3と、導光板12の出射面12cに近接配置された選択的光反射性を有する反射フィルム15とを備え、該反射フィルム15は光反射性を有する反射膜13と透光性を有する透光部材11とを交互に繰り返し積層してなるフィルム状部材からなり、反射膜13の積層平面13aが反射フィルムの平面に対して所定の傾斜角sを有することを特徴とする。

Description
本発明の目的は上記従来技術における課題に鑑みなされたものであり、バックライトの長さ方向、幅方向における光の指向性を簡単な構造で制御し、その指向性を狭めことによって、光の利用効率を向上させるとともに、輝度を上昇させさせたバックライト装置を提供することにある。
図1、図2に示すように、本実施例におけるバックライト装置20は、筐体1の内部に透明なプラスチック部材よりなる略直方体形状をした導光板12と、導光板12の入光部となる側面12aに4個の光源としての発光ダイオード(以下、LEDと記載する)3が設置されている。このLED3から照射された光が導光板12の側面12aから導光板12の内部に入射し、導光板12の内部で全反射を繰り返しながら導光される。

Claims (3)
- 導光板と、該導光板の側面を入光面とし該入光面に近接配置された光源と、前記導光板の出射面に近接配置された選択的光反射性を有する反射フィルムとを備え、該反射フィルムは光反射性を有する反射膜と透光性を有する透光部材とを交互に繰り返し積層してなるフィルム状部材からなり、前記反射膜の積層平面が前記反射フィルムの平面に対して所定の傾斜角を有することを特徴とするバックライト装置。
- 前記反射フィルムは前記反射膜と前記透光部材とが一定の間隔で積層されてなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記反射フィルムにおける前記反射膜と前記透光部材との積層方向が前記導光板の入光面から該入光面と対向する側面に向かう方向と略一致することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載のバックライト装置。
