Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a power generation system that combines power generation by a gas turbine and other power generation (for example, power generation using a fuel cell). The present invention is preferably a high-temperature operation type fuel cell such as a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) or a molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC), and particularly, power generation by a small-scale fuel cell and gas The present invention relates to a power generation system combined with power generation by a turbine (for example, a micro / nanodisc turbine).
Fuel cell systems that use high-temperature operating fuel cells, such as solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) and molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFC) as power generation systems, reform and use hydrocarbon fuels. Is operated at a high temperature of 600 to 1000 ° C. or higher, and MCFC is operated at a high temperature of about 500 to 900 ° C. or higher.
In such a high temperature operation type fuel cell, not all of the supplied fuel is used for power generation in the cell, and about 60 to 80% of the fuel is used for power generation even during rated operation, and the remaining 20 to 40%. Is discharged out of the battery as unreacted fuel. Unreacted fuel burns in an off-gas combustion chamber or the like, and a part of the generated heat is used for maintaining the fuel cell system at a high temperature, reforming the supplied fuel, or the like. In the fuel cell, internal heat is generated during power generation, and the fuel cell system is maintained at a high temperature by the heat.
Due to the high-temperature operation as described above, the temperature of the exhaust gas of these fuel cell systems and the gas circulated for cooling the power generation part is generally as high as 200 ° C. to 500 ° C. or higher.
Here, the thermal energy possessed by the high-temperature exhaust gas is heated to the tap water through the exhaust gas heat exchanger and used for hot water supply such as baths and kitchens, thereby simultaneously supplying electric power and heat (hot water) to consumers. In general, a cogeneration system is used.
Fuel is added to a high-temperature exhaust fuel cell (here still oxygen remains) from a high-temperature operation fuel cell such as a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) or a molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC), and then burned. As a high-energy combustion gas, the combustion gas is introduced into a micro gas turbine, and a generator directly connected to the turbine is operated. Combined with power generation on the fuel cell side, the total power generation efficiency is as high as 55 to 60%. A combined power generation facility (see, for example, Patent Document 1) is known.
From previous studies, when utilizing a conventional micro gas turbine, it has been reported that the optimal combination of scales of the combined power generation facilities is a fuel cell output 4 to 5 for a
Experimentally, a device of 200 kW or more is operated on a trial basis. Moreover, in a gas turbine that can be operated at a temperature as low as about 200 ° C., practical power generation efficiency has not been obtained yet.
On the other hand, as a power generation system that uses solar energy as a heat source, heats a refrigerant (fluorocarbon, ammonia) with solar heat, boils, rotates a gas turbine with the vaporized refrigerant, and can be operated even in a medium temperature range of 100 to 300 ° C. Viscous / impulsive composite type that can overheat refrigerant such as chlorofluorocarbon by the stored solar heat and generate power with relatively high efficiency even in a small-scale and medium temperature difference region (compensating for the disadvantage that lowering the output reduces thermal efficiency) A solar organic Rankine cycle system using a machine has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 2). This system is expected to be about twice as heat efficient as solar cells (about 8%).
Further, apart from the above two examples, the conventional turbine can be operated even at about 100 to 300 ° C., and particularly when the output is small, the thermal efficiency becomes extremely low, and the shape is complicated and the manufacturing cost is low. A new turbine that solves the high problem is a micro / nano disc turbine that is based on a structure in which extremely thin elements and discs are stacked alternately and alternately, and notches, elements, and micro airfoils are stacked and formed on the disc. It has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 3).
This micro / nanodisc turbine has a characteristic of high turbine efficiency despite its small size and low cost, and it has been proposed to be used as a turbine generator in the solar system described above.
In small and medium-sized high-temperature operating fuel cells, cogeneration that recovers the heat energy of exhaust gas and supplies it as hot water or steam has been widely studied. However, in office buildings and stores where the demand for electricity is large and the demand for heat is small, it is difficult to demonstrate the advantages of energy saving and environmental impact, particularly in terms of effective use of heat, such as demand for hot water.
In homes, offices, and stores, demand for electricity and heat (hot water supply) in a day varies greatly with time. 36 and 37 show the electric power demand (thin solid line) and heat demand (thin broken line) in a general household (FIG. 36) and one day (from 0:00 to 24:00) of a medium-sized store (FIG. 37), for example. It is the data which showed the change and the change of the electric power output (thick solid line) and hot-water supply output (thick dotted line) by the cogeneration system introduced into the home or store.
According to FIG. 36, in the cogeneration system of a general household, the electric power is insufficient at night (portion indicated by symbol A in FIG. 36). On the other hand, for example, hot water supply reaches a demand peak at the time of bathing (the portion indicated by symbol B in FIG. 36), but the hot water stored in the hot water tank can be used, and the whole (24 hours) is surplus.
According to FIG. 37, in the cogeneration system of a medium-sized store, the power is insufficient (portion indicated by reference symbol C in FIG. 37) in a wide range of time from the start / open to the end / close. On the other hand, the hot water supply is greatly surplus regardless of day or night (portion indicated by the symbol D in FIG. 37).
As can be seen from FIGS. 36 and 37, there is still an energy supply system that can optimally supply both electric power and heat (hot water) demand, and its operation method, which always responds to the changing demands of each usage and is always highly efficient. It is hard to say that it is provided. Due to such a mismatch between the supply and demand of electric power and heat, there is a situation where electric power is insufficient when electric power is required, and there is a situation in which excessive heat is generated, and further energy saving improvement may be necessary.
In the technique (Patent Document 1), since the system as a control is a combined system of a high-temperature operating fuel cell and a micro gas turbine, the scale of the system is large.
As described above, it is assumed that a system of 150 kW or more is assumed even when the micro gas turbine of the smallest scale that is currently popular is assumed. Therefore, the equipment scale is too large as a power supply system for small and medium-sized consumers, such as households of 1 kW to less than 100 kW and business use of medium or smaller scales, and it is difficult to introduce.
Further, it is possible to reduce the size of the gas turbine in order to cope with small and medium-sized consumers. However, in this case, as described in
In the technique (Patent Document 2), although the heat means is provided, the solar power is used as an energy source for driving the turbine, so that the power generation output is easily influenced by the weather. In addition, it is difficult for the generated power output to be large enough to cover much of the customer's power demand. Although it is considered that it can respond to household power demand of about 1 kW, it cannot respond to power demand beyond that. That is, it is difficult to collect solar heat and sunlight for satisfying electric demand and heat demand.
Cogeneration that uses solar heat to supply electric power and heat (hot water supply) is possible, but it takes a lot of time to accumulate solar heat in order to supply both at the same time or with a considerable output. The equipment must be large.
In particular, for customers whose power and heat demand changes over time, optimal control is achieved by balancing both combined heat and power (cogeneration) and combined power generation (combined power generation), and both (combined cogeneration operation). There is no description about the apparatus and operation method which utilize the turbine proposed from a viewpoint.
The present invention has been proposed in view of the above-described problems of the prior art. Power generation by a gas turbine and other power generation (for example, power generation by a fuel cell), and power generation and hot water supply using exhaust heat, which are highly efficient even at a small output. On the other hand, if the combined power generation output is less than the power demand (NO in step S45), the process proceeds to step S49 and waits until a predetermined time elapses (loop in step S50). Here, since the fuel cell is operating at the maximum output at the time of the combined operation, the output of the fuel cell cannot be further increased.
When a predetermined time has elapsed in step S50, the process returns to step S45 again, and step S45 and subsequent steps are repeated.

In the fourteenth embodiment, when the heat (hot water supply) demand is sufficient or excessive from the heat supply from the hot water storage tank, or when such a situation is expected, the power demand is lower than the power generation output of the fuel cell. In this case, the exhaust gas heat exchange of both the water or the high temperature water and the heat medium is stopped, and the power generation output of the fuel cell is made to correspond to the power demand.

In step S65, it is determined whether or not the heat storage amount is greater than or equal to the heat demand. If the heat storage amount is greater than or equal to the heat demand (YES in step S65), the process proceeds to step S66, while the heat storage amount is less than the heat demand. If there is (NO in step S65), the process proceeds to step S67.
In step S67, it is determined whether the supply amount of tap water and the set value of the circulation amount of the heat medium can be changed. If they can be changed (YES in step S67), the process proceeds to another control routine. On the other hand, if the change is impossible (NO in step S67), the process returns to step S62, and step S62 and subsequent steps are repeated again.
In the flowchart of FIG. 26, the opening degree of the heat medium circulation amount adjusting valve Vd and the opening amount of the tap water supply amount adjusting valve (three-way valve) Vw3 are determined from various data relating to the power demand and the heat demand using a known method. Embodiments related to control in combination with the control described in the embodiments of FIGS. 12 to 26 are expressed by the flowcharts of FIGS. 27 and 28. Note that the flowcharts of FIGS. 27 and 28 are originally divided into two parts on the space of the paper as originally shown by one flow.
Hereinafter, FIG. 27 and FIG. 28 will be briefly described.
First, in step S101 in FIG. 27, the power usage, usage schedule, hot water usage, bathing time, and the like are input by input means (not shown) such as a remote controller of the control panel.
In the next step S102, the power, hot water supply demand, and hot water storage so far are measured, and future power generation, hot water supply, and hot water storage are predicted. Then, it is determined whether the power demand is equal to or higher than the power generation output of the fuel cell 1 (step S103). If the power demand is equal to or higher than the power generation output of the fuel cell 1 (YES in step S103), the process proceeds to step S104. Is less than the power generation output of the fuel cell 1 (NO in step S103), the process proceeds to S200 start in FIG.

In the next step S108, it is determined whether or not the hot water supply demand is insufficient even with the hot water heating by the exhaust gas of the
In the next step S110, it is determined whether or not the power generation system can cope with both the electric power and hot water supply demand of the customer, and if it can, the process returns to step S101 and repeats step S101 and subsequent steps. On the other hand, if it cannot respond, it returns to step S102 and repeats after step S102.

The routine of step S200 in FIG. 28 is started, and in step S201, the output of the

In step S204, turbine power generation is performed by circulating the heat medium, and it is determined whether the turbine power generation satisfies the power demand (step S205). If the turbine power generation satisfies the power demand (YES in step S205), the process proceeds to step S106 in FIG. On the other hand, if the turbine power generation does not satisfy the power demand (NO in step S205), the operation of the fuel cell is started or the insufficient power is received by the system (step S206), and then the process proceeds to step S106 in FIG.
Steps S106 and after in FIG. 27 have been described above.
Next, a power generation system according to a seventeenth embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 29 and 30.
Fuel cells may require steam to reform the fuel. That is, tap water is evaporated by an evaporator that generates water vapor for fuel reforming and supplied to the reformer. Conventionally, a large amount of heat energy is used to evaporate tap water in such an evaporator.
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 29, in one example of the seventeenth embodiment, the heat generated when the heat medium used in the micro / nanodisc

Next, a power generation system according to an eighteenth embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 31 and 32.

Other configurations and effects in the eighteenth embodiment shown in FIGS. 31 and 32 are the same as those in the fifth embodiment shown in FIG.
Next, a power generation system according to a nineteenth embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.
In the nineteenth embodiment of FIG. 33, the tap water supply system Lw13 that has passed through the
34 and 35 are data obtained by measuring the power output and hot water supply output in a general household (FIG. 34) and a store (FIG. 35) when the power generation system according to the embodiment of the present invention is used.
In the general household example (FIG. 34), in the conventional example, the power generation output is insufficient with respect to the power generation demand, and the hot water supply output is surplus (see FIG. 36). On the other hand, in the power generation system of the embodiment of the present invention, the power output (thick solid line in FIG. 34) is the demand (thin solid line in FIG. 34) power by turning the surplus heat (hot water supply) output to turbine power generation. Although it does not reach the peak consumption, it can cover the demand in other time zones, and moreover, the surplus heat (hot water supply) output has been effectively utilized. The thick dotted line in FIG. 34 indicates the heat output after being used for electric power, and the thin broken line indicates the heat demand.
In the example of the store (FIG. 35), in the conventional example, the power generation output is significantly insufficient with respect to the power generation demand, and the hot water supply output is significantly surplus (see FIG. 37). On the other hand, in the power generation system of the embodiment of the present invention, the maximum power output (thick solid line in FIG. 35) is greatly increased by turning the heat (hot water supply) output, which has been excessive in the past, to the turbine power generation. We were able to raise it, and we were able to approach demand (the thin solid line in FIG. 35).
In addition, effective utilization of the heat (hot water supply) output, which has been excessive in the past, has been attempted. The thick dotted line in FIG. 35 indicates the heat output after being used for electric power, and the thin broken line indicates the heat demand.
