Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire, and more particularly to suppression of heel and toe wear of a tire having a tread pattern based on a block pattern.
Conventionally, in heavy duty drive shaft tires such as TBR and ORR used for heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses, and construction vehicles, the driving torque and braking torque during traveling are reliably transmitted to the ground. As shown, the tire tread portion 51 of the
On the other hand, in a pneumatic tire having a block pattern, as shown in FIG. 6A, when the block is viewed in a cross section (circumferential cross section) orthogonal to the tire rotation axis, the contour line is In the case of the
7 (a) and 7 (b), the block is stepped at a point B where the block surface has an arc shape and has a maximum height H MAX on the outer side in the tire radial direction. aL from 70f (L; block length, a> 0.5) by the position of, along with shifting the end 70k side kick the point B, and the block height H f of the leading edge 70f side of the H MAX By making the
Therefore, in order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the applicant of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 9 (a) and 9 (b), starts the stepping
The
As a result of examining the deformation behavior of the deep groove block at the time of stepping and kicking out of the block that determines the wear amount of the deep groove block, as shown in FIG. It was found that the shear deformation at the moment of stepping on and the moment of kicking out is both in the driving direction, and the magnitude and the amount of slip generated in the tread cross section are proportional. That is, in a deep groove block in which the block height H exceeds 20 mm, when the block has a straight line when viewed in a cross section orthogonal to the tire rotation axis, shear deformation in the driving direction generated at the kicking end It has been found that since the relative small slip between the tread / road surface generated in proportion thereto is larger than that at the stepping end, wear at the kicking end is promoted and heel and toe wear occurs. For example, in the case of the
On the other hand, the normal inner pressure of the tread pattern of the heavy load drive shaft tire and the contact / separation line (ground contact line) at the normal load normally pass through the shoulder block 54C as shown in FIG. In the blocks 54A and 54B, the entire surface of the block is grounded, but in the shoulder block 54C, there is a portion that is not grounded outside in the block width direction. Therefore, due to the difference in the timing of passing through the grounding line and the like, there is a difference in the slip amount in the tire rotation direction at the time of kicking between the inner side in the width direction and the outer side in the width direction of the shoulder block 54C. In other words, the amount of slippage in the tire rotation direction is increased on the inner side in the width direction where the kick is finally reached in the block, compared to the outer side in the width direction. So small. Therefore, heel and toe wear occurs unevenly depending on the position in the width direction.
On the other hand, the
The present invention has been made in view of conventional problems, and is a pneumatic tire in which a block pattern is formed in a tread portion, and in particular, a heavy load drive shaft provided with a deep groove block having a block height H exceeding 20 mm. An object of the present invention is to suppress the development of heel-and-toe wear in the tire circumferential direction and to suppress uneven wear in the tire width direction.
As a result of intensive studies, the inventor has provided tapered portions on the stepping-in end side and the kicking-out end side, and can suppress uneven wear in the block width direction by changing the taper in the block width direction. The present invention has been found out to be possible.
That is, the invention according to
The invention according to
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the pneumatic tire according to the second aspect, the length along the tire circumferential direction of the tapered portion located on the stepping side when viewed from the upper surface of the block is defined as l f. The above-mentioned l f and l k are set so that l f ≦ l k , where l k is the length along the tire circumferential direction of the tapered portion located on the protruding end side.
The invention according to
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the pneumatic tire according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, when the angle (taper angle) formed between each tapered portion and the tire tread is defined as θ, the θ Is set to satisfy 37.5 ° ≦ θ ≦ 60 °.
According to the present invention, in the pneumatic tire in which a block pattern is formed, a tapered portion extending in the block width direction is provided at least on the stepping end side and the kicking end side of the shoulder block among the blocks. The amount of cut off is gradually decreased from the inner side in the tire width direction toward the outer side in the tire width direction, so that the wear (work) amount on the inner side in the tire width direction with a large amount of wear is reduced. Therefore, uneven wear in the tire width direction can be suppressed.
Also, when viewed from the top of the block, the length along the tire circumferential direction of the tapered portion located on the stepping side is defined as l f, and the length along the tire circumferential direction of the tapered portion located on the kicking end side is When l k is set, l f and l k are set so as to satisfy l f ≦ l k, and the cut-off amount of the taper portion on the kick-out end side is set to the cut-off amount of the taper portion on the step-in end side. If it is equivalent or more, the amount of wear (work) at the step-in end and the kick-out end can be made uniform, and heel-and-toe wear can be further suppressed.
At this time, if the range of the taper angle θ is 37.5 ° ≦ θ ≦ 60, heel and toe wear can be reliably reduced.
Hereinafter, the best mode of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a tread pattern of a pneumatic tire according to the best mode, and FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a
Next, the
The
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 2, the taper angles θ f and θ k that are angles formed by the
As shown in FIGS. 3 (a) and 3 (b), in a tire having a conventional block having no tapered portion, the direction of shear deformation at the stepping-in
Further, in this example, the heel-and-toe kick is achieved by reducing the taper portion 20F on the stepping
At this time, the magnitudes of l f and l k are preferably in a range of 0.05 L ≦ l f ≦ l k ≦ 0.2 L. When the l k and the l f is less than 0.05 L, the tapered portion 20F, small size of 20K, it is impossible to sufficiently vary the magnitude of shear deformation, the above effects can not be obtained. Further, if l k and l f exceed 0.2L, the tapered portion is grounded, and the above effect cannot be obtained. Therefore, the range of l k and l f is 0.05L ≦ l f It is preferable that ≦ l k ≦ 0.2L.
Further, the taper angle θ is not limited to θ = 45 °, and may be 37.5 ° ≦ θ ≦ 60 °. If the taper angle θ is less than 37.5 °, the taper portion is also grounded due to rubber bulge, and the above effect cannot be obtained. Conversely, if the taper angle θ exceeds 60 °, the tread surface Since the bulging of the rubber toward the side shifts in the tire rotation direction and the above effect cannot be obtained, the range of the taper angle θ is preferably 37.5 ° ≦ θ ≦ 60 °.
Thus, according to the best mode, in the
Further, since the cut-off amount of the
In the above-described best mode, only the
Further, in the above example, although the taper angle theta k end 20k side kick-out and taper angle theta f of the
Examples The present invention will be specifically described below with reference to examples and comparative examples, but the present invention is not limited to the following.
In order to confirm the effect of the present invention, pneumatic tires having four types of blocks were respectively made as prototypes and subjected to wear tests (heel and toe wear resistance tests) using actual vehicles. The tire sizes of the test tires were all 295 / 75R22.5, and the tire internal pressure was set to 650 kPa.
The block of the conventional pneumatic tire is a rectangular parallelepiped block having a constant tire circumferential length L = 50 mm, a tire axial width W = 36 mm, and a block height H = 25 mm. The pneumatic tire block of FIG. 9 is a pneumatic tire block described in WO 2004/011282 A1, and has a circumferential length L = 50 mm and a tire axial width W = 36 mm. The block has a maximum height of H = 25 mm and a drop amount of d = 1 mm. The pneumatic tire block of Comparative Example 2 is the pneumatic tire block described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 64-22601 shown in FIG. 8, and has a circumferential length L = 50 mm and a tire axial direction. The width of the block is W = 36 mm, the maximum height of the block is H = 25 mm, and the tapered end portion and the kicking end portion have a taper portion having a taper angle of 45 ° in both the circumferential direction and 5 mm in the circumferential direction.
On the other hand, the pneumatic tire block of the example is a pneumatic tire block according to the present invention shown in FIG. 2 and has a circumferential length L = 50 mm and a tire axial width W = 36 mm. The maximum height is H = 25 mm, the inner side in the block width direction is 5 mm in the circumferential direction and the depth direction is 5 mm in the stepping-in end portion and the kicking-out end portion, and the outer direction in the block width direction is 3 mm in the circumferential direction and 3 mm in the depth direction. This is a block provided with a taper portion having both taper angles of 45 °.
The test for heel and toe wear resistance is carried out by attaching each of the above test tires to the drive shaft of a vehicle (2D4 type), running 50000 km, and after running, the rubber volume of the block that has disappeared due to heel and toe wear , And indexed with the conventional example as 100, the smaller the value, the better the heel and toe wear resistance.
The test results are shown in Table 1.
On the other hand, in the tires of Comparative Example 1 and Comparative Example 2, although the amount of wear was reduced both in the block width direction inside and in the width direction outside, not only the wear amount was larger than the tire of the present invention (Example) but also the block It can be seen that the wear amount on the outer side in the width direction is larger than the wear amount on the inner side in the block width direction, and uneven wear occurs in the tire width direction.
Thus, according to the present invention, in a tire provided with a block pattern, particularly a tire provided with a deep groove block having a block height H exceeding 20 mm, such as a heavy load drive shaft tire, The progress of AND-to-wear can be greatly suppressed, and the difference in the amount of wear between the inside and outside of the block width when kicking out can be reduced, so that the life of the tire can be extended and the running of the vehicle can be stabilized. Sex can be secured.
