Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire. In particular, the present invention relates to a pneumatic tire designed to improve vehicle rollover prevention performance.
In conventional pneumatic tires, various means are used in order to achieve both handling stability and riding comfort performance, which are mutually contradictory performances. For example, in
In the conventional vehicle, by applying the above-described means to the pneumatic tire, it is possible to achieve both steering stability and riding comfort performance, and obtain high-quality traveling performance. However, in recent years, vehicles with high vehicle height such as RV vehicles and wagon type vehicles considering practicality are increasing. In such a vehicle with a high vehicle height, the center of gravity position is high, so that the roll amount during cornering is large, and when a large cornering force is applied, the vehicle may roll over in the worst case. For this reason, a pneumatic tire to be mounted on such a vehicle needs to improve performance for preventing the vehicle from overturning. However, there is a technique to reduce the rigidity of the tread part to prevent the rollover of the vehicle, but when the performance of preventing rollover is improved by such a technique, the rigidity of the tread part is too low. There is a risk that steering stability during normal running may be reduced or wear may be easily caused.
This invention is made | formed in view of the above, Comprising: It aims at providing the pneumatic tire which can aim at the improvement of rollover limit performance, without reducing steering stability and abrasion resistance.
In order to solve the above-described problems and achieve the object, a pneumatic tire according to the present invention is a pneumatic tire in which a plurality of groove portions are formed in a tread portion, and the tread portion is a surface of the tread portion. The tread surface is filled with air with a normal internal pressure and is grounded when a load is applied with a normal load, and the outer side in the tire width direction from the grounding end that is the end of the grounding portion in the tire width direction. And a protrusion forming range on the inner side in the tire radial direction, and the protrusion forming range is a groove depth of the groove portion from the ground contact end toward the inner side in the tire radial direction on the tread surface. The protruding portion formation range protrudes from the tread surface and is filled with air at the normal internal pressure and loaded with the normal load. Does not ground any part, and further, there is provided a protrusion to be grounded when a load is applied in the tire width direction, and the area of the part to be grounded when the protrusion is grounded among the protrusions The projected portion ground contact area is within a range of 1% to 50% of the projected portion forming area when the projected portion is not formed in the projected portion forming range. To do.
In this invention, the protrusion is provided in the protrusion formation range on the tread surface. Since the protrusions are provided as described above, they are not grounded during normal straight traveling, and are grounded when a load in the tire width direction, that is, when a lateral G acts during cornering. For this reason, there is no influence which provided the projection part in the straight running, and the fall of steering stability at the time of straight running and the reduction of wear resistance can be controlled. On the other hand, the protrusion is grounded during cornering, but since the protrusion has a small ground contact area, the ground contact area during cornering can be reduced and the cornering force can be reduced.
Further, by providing the protrusion forming range in which the protrusion is provided in the above range, the protrusion can be positioned within the above range. That is, when the protrusion is provided at a position that is twice or more the groove depth of the groove on the tread surface inward in the tire radial direction from the ground contact end, the protrusion may not be grounded during cornering. If the protrusion does not contact during cornering, the contact area cannot be reduced during cornering, so the cornering force cannot be reduced and it is difficult to improve the rollover limit performance. For this reason, by providing the protruding portion in the protruding portion forming range, which is a range from the grounding end to the position twice the groove depth of the groove portion inwardly in the tire radial direction on the tread surface, the protruding portion is more reliably provided during cornering. The part can be grounded.
Further, the protrusion grounding area, which is an area when the protrusion is grounded, is within a range of 1% to 50% of the area of the protrusion forming range when the protrusion is not formed in the protrusion forming range. By doing so, the cornering force can be more reliably reduced. That is, when the protrusion contact area is less than 1%, the protrusion may be slipped too much when the protrusion contacts the ground, and the steering stability may be reduced. In addition, when the protruding portion ground contact area is larger than 50%, even when the protruding portion is grounded, the ground contact area is too large, so that the protruding portion is difficult to slip and it is difficult to reduce the cornering force. In view of this, the steering grounding area is set to be within a range of 1% to 50% of the area of the protrusion formation range when no protrusion is formed in the protrusion formation range. It is possible to more reliably reduce the cornering force without lowering. As a result, the rollover limit performance can be improved without reducing the steering stability and the wear resistance.
The pneumatic tire according to the present invention is characterized in that the protrusion is formed within a range of 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm in height from the tread surface.
In the present invention, the overturning limit performance can be more reliably improved by forming the protrusion within the above-described range. In other words, when the height of the protrusion is less than 0.5 mm, the height is too low, so there is a possibility that the surrounding area of the protrusion will be grounded when the protrusion is grounded. There is a possibility that it cannot be reduced. In addition, when the height of the protrusion is 5.0 mm or more, the height is too high, and there is a possibility that the protrusion may be deformed or collapsed when the protrusion is grounded. When the portion is crushed, the ground contact area increases, so there is a possibility that the ground contact area during cornering cannot be reduced. On the other hand, when the protrusion is formed so that the height from the tread surface is in the range of 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm, the contact area during cornering can be more reliably reduced. Thus, the cornering force can be reduced more reliably. As a result, the rollover limit performance can be improved more reliably.
Moreover, the pneumatic tire according to the present invention is characterized in that the protruding portion is continuously formed along the circumferential direction of the tire.
In the present invention, since the protrusions are continuously formed along the circumferential direction of the tire, the rigidity of the protrusions can be improved. Thereby, even when a load is applied to the protruding portion, the protruding portion is not easily crushed, and the ground contact area can be more reliably reduced. As a result, the rollover limit performance can be improved more reliably.
The pneumatic tire according to the present invention is characterized in that the protrusions are formed discontinuously along the tire circumferential direction.
In this invention, since the protrusion is formed discontinuously, an increase in weight when the protrusion is provided can be suppressed. As a result, it is possible to improve the rollover limit performance while suppressing an increase in weight.
Further, in the pneumatic tire according to the present invention, when the protrusion portion compares the hardness of the protrusion portion and the hardness of the cap tread of the tread portion with each Hs, the Hs of the protrusion portion is the cap. It is formed so as to be within a range of +2 to +10 with respect to Hs of the tread.
In this invention, by setting the hardness of the protrusion within the above range with respect to the hardness of the cap tread, it is possible to improve the rollover limit performance more reliably. In other words, when the Shore A hardness of the protrusion, that is, the Hs of the protrusion is less than +2 of Hs of the cap tread, the protrusion may be crushed when a load is applied to the protrusion. When grounding, it is difficult to reduce the ground contact area. Further, when Hs of the protrusion is larger than +10 of Hs of the cap tread, there is a possibility that a crack may occur between the protrusion and the cap tread when a load is applied to the protrusion, and the protrusion is damaged. There is a risk of doing. For this reason, since it can suppress that the protrusion part is damaged or crushed when the protrusion part is grounded by providing the protrusion part so that Hs of the protrusion part is within the range of +2 to +10 with respect to Hs of the cap tread, it is more reliable. In addition, the ground contact area can be reduced. As a result, the rollover limit performance can be improved more reliably.
The pneumatic tire according to the present invention has an effect that the rollover limit performance can be improved without reducing steering stability and wear resistance.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of a pneumatic tire according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments. In addition, constituent elements in the following embodiments include those that can be easily replaced by those skilled in the art or those that are substantially the same.
(Embodiment)
In the following description, the tire width direction refers to a direction parallel to the rotation axis of the pneumatic tire, the inner side in the tire width direction refers to the direction toward the equator in the tire width direction, and the outer side in the tire width direction refers to the tire. The direction opposite to the direction toward the equatorial plane in the width direction. Further, the tire radial direction refers to a direction orthogonal to the rotation axis, and the tire circumferential direction refers to a direction rotating around the rotation axis as a center of rotation. FIG. 1 is a meridional cross-sectional view showing a main part of a pneumatic tire according to the present invention. The
Further,
A portion of the
Here, the contact width W means that when the
Further, a
A concave portion (not shown) such as a lug groove is formed on the outer side in the tire radial direction from the
The
FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a state where protrusions are formed on the pneumatic tire illustrated in FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a perspective view of an essential part of the pneumatic tire shown in FIG. Two protrusions 50 are formed in the
Of the projections 50 formed in this way, the narrowest portion of the projections 50 that are the farthest from the
Further, the two protrusions 50 have different heights from the
When the
On the other hand, during cornering, the center of gravity moves in the direction opposite to the direction in which the vehicle bends, that is, in the outward direction with respect to the direction in which the vehicle bends. Therefore, the portion of the
Since the protrusion 50 protrudes from the
Further, the protruding portion forming region B is twice the groove depth G of the
Further, when the protrusion forming region B is less than twice the groove depth G, when a large lateral G acts during vehicle travel, the outermost position in the tire width direction is located at the most grounded portion at that time. There is a possibility that the protrusion 50 may not be disposed in the portion that is being performed. As described above, when the protrusion 50 is not disposed in the portion that is grounded when the lateral G acts, it becomes difficult to reduce the rigidity of the grounded portion, and the cornering force is reduced. It becomes difficult. For this reason, it becomes difficult to improve the rollover limit performance. For this reason, the protruding portion forming region B, that is, the protruding
Further, when the protrusion 50 is grounded, the
Further, by providing two protrusions 50, the load when the protrusion 50 is grounded can be dispersed, and the load applied to one protrusion 50 can be reduced. Thereby, when the projection part 50 is grounded, it can suppress that the load concerning the projection part 50 becomes large too much, and it can suppress that the projection part 50 is crushed when a big load is applied to the projection part 50. If the protrusion 50 is crushed, the ground contact area is increased, so that it is difficult to reduce the cornering force. However, the protrusion 50 is less likely to be crushed, so that the cornering force can be more reliably reduced. As a result, the rollover limit performance can be improved more reliably.
The two protrusions 50 are higher in the outer protrusion 52 than in the equatorial plane protrusion 51. By forming the two protrusions 50 in this way, the corner ring Sometimes the protrusion 50 can be more reliably grounded. That is, only the
Moreover, since the projection part 50 is continuously formed along the tire circumferential direction on the entire circumference, the rigidity of the projection part 50 can be improved. As described above, by improving the rigidity of the protrusion 50, when the protrusion 50 is grounded, the protrusion 50 can be prevented from being crushed by a load at the time of grounding. When the protrusion 50 is crushed, the ground contact area increases, so it is difficult to reduce the cornering force. However, by improving the rigidity of the protrusion 50 so that the protrusion 50 is less likely to be crushed, the cornering force can be more reliably prevented. Can be reduced. As a result, the rollover limit performance can be improved more reliably.
Moreover, when the projection part 50 is formed so that the height of the projection part 50 is in the range of 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm, the rollover limit performance can be improved more reliably. That is, by setting the height of the projection 50 to 0.5 mm or more, when the projection 50 is grounded, it is possible to suppress the surrounding portion of the projection 50 from being grounded, and more reliably the grounding area during cornering Can be reduced. Moreover, when the height of the protrusion 50 is 5.0 mm or less, the protrusion 50 can be prevented from being crushed when the protrusion 50 is grounded. When the height of the protrusion 50 is 5.0 mm or more, the height is too high, and thus the protrusion 50 may be crushed when the protrusion 50 is grounded. Thus, the protrusion 50 is crushed. In this case, the ground contact area increases. For this reason, by setting the height of the protrusion 50 to 5.0 mm or less, the protrusion 50 can be prevented from being crushed, and when the protrusion 50 is grounded, the ground contact area can be more reliably reduced. Therefore, by forming the protrusion 50 so that the height of the protrusion 50 is in the range of 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm, the ground contact area can be more reliably reduced, and the cornering force can be more reliably reduced. Reduction can be achieved. As a result, the rollover limit performance can be improved more reliably.
Further, since the
Further, as described above, by providing the protrusion 50 in the
Further, as described above, by providing the protrusion 50 in the
(Modification)
FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating a modification of the pneumatic tire according to the embodiment. In addition, although the projection part 50 formed in the
Further, when the protrusions 50 are formed discontinuously, they may be formed discontinuously in conjunction with a pitch arrangement of tread patterns (not shown) formed on the grounding
Further, by forming the protrusions 50 discontinuously in the tire circumferential direction, it is possible to provide a place where the protrusions 50 are present and a place where the protrusion 50 is absent in the tire circumferential direction. Thereby, when the projection 50 is grounded, the
In addition, the two protrusions 50 formed on the
In the
Therefore, by forming the protrusion 50 so that the Hs of the protrusion 50 is within the range of +2 to +10 with respect to the Hs of the
In addition, when making the hardness of the projection part 50 high, you may make the value of Hs of the projection part 50 high instead of comparing Hs of the projection part 50 and Hs of the
Further, when the protrusion 50 and the
When reducing the grip force of the protrusion 50, the tan δ value of the protrusion 50 may be lowered instead of comparing the grip force of the protrusion 50 with the grip force of the
In addition, the number of the protrusions 50 formed in the
Moreover, you may provide the projection part 50 as mentioned above in the pneumatic tire of any tread pattern, such as a rib pattern and a block pattern. Regardless of the tread pattern, by providing the protrusion 50 in the

As a result, a projecting portion 50 is provided outside the
