Description

The present invention relates to a joining apparatus and joining method for members such as a belt-shaped rubber material.

JP 2002-166479 A Japanese Patent Publication No. 52-35709

In the conventional zipper device described above, the traveling direction of the pair of rollers is determined to be one direction due to its structure. Therefore, when joining from the central part of the member to be joined to both sides, a pair of rollers traveling in one direction and a pair of rollers traveling in the opposite direction to the pair of rollers, a total of two pairs It was necessary to prepare a roller.

Further, since the conventional zipper device can only travel in one direction, it is necessary to return the roller to the start position after the joining of the members is completed.

In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a joining apparatus and a joining method that include a pair of rollers that can reciprocate, thereby reducing equipment costs and operating time.

In order to solve the above-described problem, a first feature of the present invention is a joining device that joins adjacent end portions of members arranged in parallel, and is located close to each other back to back, and the back surface is horizontal. A frustoconical shape 1 that expands upward in one direction and in the vertical direction, and moves along the adjacent end portions of the member in the horizontally expanded direction to perform crimp bonding of the end portions. The gist of the present invention is a joining apparatus including a pair of rollers and a rotating unit that rotates the pair of rollers in a horizontal direction in a direction in which the pair of rollers moves in a direction opposite to the moving direction.

According to the joining device according to the first aspect of the present invention, the pair of rollers rotate in the horizontal direction, thereby enabling reciprocal motion. Accordingly, since it is not necessary to prepare two pairs of rollers, the equipment cost can be reduced, and since it is not necessary to return the rollers to the start position, the operation time can be reduced.

Further, as the rotating means, a gear rotating in the horizontal direction joined to the support member of the roller may be used, or a bearing rotating in the horizontal direction joined to the support member of the roller may be used.

A second feature of the present invention is a joining method for joining adjacent end portions of members arranged in parallel, which are positioned close to each other back to back, with the back surface in one of the horizontal directions and the vertical direction. A pair of frustoconical rollers that are expanded upward are moved along the adjacent ends of the member in the direction of expansion in the horizontal direction, so that the first ends are crimped together. A step, a second step of rotating the pair of rollers in a horizontal direction in a direction to move in a direction opposite to the moving direction, and a pair of rollers in the direction opposite to the moving direction in the first step The gist of the present invention is a joining method including a third step of performing crimping joining of the end portions by moving the member in the direction of the direction along the adjacent end portions of the member.

According to the joining method according to the second aspect of the present invention, the pair of rollers rotate in the horizontal direction, thereby enabling reciprocal motion. Accordingly, since it is not necessary to prepare two pairs of rollers, the equipment cost can be reduced, and since it is not necessary to return the rollers to the start position, the operation time can be reduced.

According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a bonding apparatus and a bonding method that reduce equipment costs and reduce operating time by providing a pair of rollers that can reciprocate.

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the following description of the drawings, the same or similar parts are denoted by the same or similar reference numerals. However, it should be noted that the drawings are schematic and ratios of dimensions and the like are different from actual ones. Accordingly, specific dimensions and the like should be determined in consideration of the following description. Moreover, it is a matter of course that portions having different dimensional relationships and ratios are included between the drawings.

(Joining equipment)
As shown in FIG. 1, the joining device according to the present embodiment is a device that joins the end portions Wa and Wb of the belt-like rubber materials W arranged in parallel on the receiving member 3, and is arranged at a certain angle. And a pair of frustoconical rollers 1a and 1b having grooves 5a and 5b carved on the outer circumference. In FIG. 1, gears are formed on the upper portions of the rollers 1 a and 1 b and meshed with each other. For this reason, the roller 1b and the roller 1a can be rotated by rotating the roller rotating shaft 6b joined to the roller 1b. The rollers 1a and 1b may not have gears, and the roller 1a may have a roller rotation shaft. The roller rotation shaft 6b is joined to the support member 6 that supports the rollers 1a and 1b.

Here, examples of the belt-like rubber material W include carcass used as a tire constituent material. The ply material for forming the carcass is formed by cutting one end of a rubber covering material in which cords are arranged in parallel in the longitudinal direction with a length corresponding to the carcass width determined by the type and size of the tire, and the end portion along the cord of the rubber covering material By sequentially joining Wa and Wb, a carcass ply material having a predetermined width is formed.

The band-shaped rubber material W is joined by bringing the pair of rollers 1a and 1b into contact with the end portions Wa and Wb of the members to be joined, and by rotating the rollers 1a and 1b, the groove brings the ends together. This is done by the zipper function (screw effect).

The rollers 1a and 1b are positioned close to each other back to back, and the back surface expands in one direction in the horizontal direction and upward in the vertical direction. As shown in FIG. 2, the rollers 1a and 1b expand α in the horizontal direction and move along the adjacent end portions Wa and Wb of the belt-like rubber material W in the direction of arrow A, thereby causing the end portions Wa and Wb to move. Perform crimping of each other.

Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the rollers 1a and 1b are expanded in the upward direction in the vertical direction. In other words, the angle between the contact surface of the belt-like rubber material W of the rollers 1a and 1b and the point where the gear meshes is θ.

The support member 6 is joined to a first gear 7 provided on the upper portion thereof, and the first gear 7 and the second gear 8 are meshed with each other. For this reason, the second gear 8 and the first gear 7 can be rotated by rotating the gear rotation shaft 9. The first gear 7 and the second gear 8 rotate in the horizontal direction with respect to the receiving member 3.

In FIG. 3, it is assumed that the rollers 1a and 1b have moved in the arrow A direction. At this time, as the first gear 7 rotates, the rollers 1a and 1b rotate in the horizontal direction. That is, the rollers 1a and 1b in the state shown in FIG. 4A are rotated 180 degrees in the horizontal direction as shown in FIG. 4B when the second gear 8 and the first gear 7 are rotated. ° Can rotate. The rollers 1a and 1b in the state shown in FIG. 4B can move in the direction of arrow B, which is the direction opposite to arrow A. At this time, the rollers 1a and 1b rotate while maintaining the horizontal expansion angle α and the vertical expansion angle θ.

3 and 4, the mechanism for rotating the roller in the horizontal direction using the gears has been described. However, the roller may be rotated in the horizontal direction using another mechanism.

For example, as shown in FIG. 5, rotation may be performed using a bearing 10 mechanism that is joined to a roller support member 6 and rotates in the horizontal direction. Bearing balls are held in the bearing 10 and function as rolling bearings. By this bearing mechanism, the rollers 1a and 1b can rotate 180 ° in the horizontal direction as shown by the dotted lines in FIG.

A drive source for rotating the rollers 1a, 1b, the first gear 7, the second gear 8, the bearing 10 and the like is not particularly shown, but it is needless to say that a motor corresponding to the joining device can be used as appropriate. is there.

(Joining method)
Next, the joining method according to this embodiment will be described.

First, the end portions Wa and Wb of the belt-like rubber material W are arranged in parallel on the receiving member 3 of the joining device. Then, a pair of frustoconical rollers 1a and 1b, which are arranged at a fixed angle and have grooves 5a and 5b on the outer circumference of the circumference, are brought into contact with the end portions Wa and Wb of the belt-like rubber material W, respectively.

Next, by rotating the pair of rollers 1a and 1b, the grooves 5a and 5b bring the end portions Wa and Wb into contact with each other, and pressure bonding is performed by a zipper function. When the joining is completed to a predetermined position, the pair of rollers 1a and 1b are raised in the horizontal direction and separated from the belt-like rubber material W.

Then, using the rotating means such as the gears and bearings described above, the pair of rollers 1a and 1b are rotated 180 ° in the horizontal direction. That is, it is rotated from the state of FIG. 4A to the state of FIG.

Next, the pair of rollers 1a and 1b rotated by 180 ° are lowered and brought into contact with predetermined end portions Wa and Wb of the belt-like rubber material W, respectively. Then, by rotating the pair of rollers 1a and 1b, the grooves 5a and 5b bring the end portions Wa and Wb into contact with each other and move in a direction opposite to the initial direction, thereby performing pressure bonding.

The pair of rollers 1a and 1b may be rotated 180 °, moved to a predetermined position, and then lowered. When the joining of the rubber band W is completed, the next rubber band W After setting on the receiving member 3, it may be lowered.

(Function and effect)
According to the joining apparatus and joining method according to the present embodiment, the pair of rollers 1a and 1b can rotate in the horizontal direction while maintaining the horizontal expansion angle α and the vertical expansion angle θ. Therefore, the pair of rollers 1a and 1b can reciprocate.

Conventionally, when joining from the central part of a member to both sides, a pair of rollers traveling in one direction and a pair of rollers traveling in the opposite direction of the pair of rollers, a total of two pairs of rollers It was necessary to prepare. Specifically, when a pair of rollers A and a pair of rollers B are provided, first, the pair of rollers A contacts the start position and starts joining in a specific direction (step S1). After the pair of rollers A is started, the pair of rollers B comes into contact with the start position and starts joining in the direction opposite to the roller A (step S2). Then, after completing the joining, the roller A rises, returns to the start position, and enters a standby state (step S3). In addition, when the joining of the roller B is completed, the roller B rises, returns to the start position, enters a standby state (step S4), and returns to step S1.

By using a pair of rollers 1a and 1b, the joining apparatus according to the present embodiment can perform joining from the center of the member to both sides. Specifically, after the pair of rollers 1a and 1b are joined from the central portion to one end side, the pair of rollers 1a and 1b are rotated by 180 ° and returned to the central portion, and the other from the central portion to the other. Bonding to the end side. Thus, according to the joining apparatus and joining method concerning this embodiment, since it is not necessary to prepare two pairs of rollers, equipment cost can be reduced.

In addition, since the conventional joining apparatus can only proceed in one direction, it is necessary to return the roller to the start position when the joining of the members is completed. However, the joining apparatus according to the present embodiment includes a pair of rollers. Since it can reciprocate, it is not necessary to return the roller to the start position. Therefore, the operation time (operation cycle) can be reduced. For example, when the joining of one member is completed, the pair of rollers 1a and 1b are rotated 180 ° at the completion position. Then, the next member can be set, and the rollers 1a and 1b can be lowered at that position to obtain the start position of the next member.
