Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a light source device for causing light emitted from two light sources to enter an illumination optical system, for example, an endoscope light source device.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there has been known an autofluorescence observation endoscope system that detects an abnormality occurring in a living body by using in-vivo autofluorescence. In this system, when excitation light is irradiated onto a tissue in a living body, autofluorescence is excited in the tissue in the living body, and an abnormality in the tissue in the living body is found due to the difference in the autofluorescence.
In this endoscope system, when observing autofluorescence in a living body and observing a normal reflected light image, or when performing arithmetic processing using two images of an autofluorescent image and a normal reflected light image Irradiates the living body with excitation light and normal light (visible light). Therefore, the light source device of this system includes a white light source that emits white light and an excitation light source that emits excitation light to excite autofluorescence, and the white light emitted by these two light sources is the same as the excitation light. The light is repeatedly irradiated into the living body through the light guide.
Since the dichroic mirrors and the like described in Patent Documents 1 and 2 reflect and transmit light according to the wavelength, for example, transmit light having a specific wavelength or more (white light) and reflect light having a specific wavelength or less. Thus, the optical paths of the two lights are matched.
However, for example, when the excitation light is light including visible light, if all of the excitation light is reflected by the dichroic mirror, visible light in the vicinity of the excitation light included in white light is reflected by the dichroic mirror. Since the subject cannot be irradiated, the color reproducibility of the observation image when white light is irradiated deteriorates.
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of such problems, and an object thereof is to provide a light source device that can appropriately irradiate an observation image with light emitted from two light sources.
The light source device according to the present invention includes an excitation light source that emits excitation light for exciting autofluorescence, a visible light source that emits visible light, and the light flux centers of the excitation light and visible light are incident on different places. A condensing lens group, and a light guide into which excitation light and visible light are incident by the condensing lens group, and the condensing lens group condenses the excitation light and the visible light at the same position of the light guide. It is characterized by that.
It is preferable that the respective light flux centers of the excitation light and the visible light are incident at positions that are equidistant from the optical axis of the condenser lens group. The excitation light and the visible light are preferably incident on the condenser lens group so that their optical paths overlap the optical axis of the lens and do not overlap each other.
The condensing lens group preferably condenses excitation light and visible light on the end face of the light guide. In addition, when a cylindrical reflector disposed between the condenser lens group and the light guide is provided, the condenser lens group collects excitation light and visible light on the end surface of the cylindrical reflector, thereby reflecting the cylindrical reflector. It is preferable to enter the light guide through the body.
The light source device according to the present invention satisfies the following conditional expression (1) when the respective light flux centers of the excitation light and the visible light are incident at a position away from the optical axis of the condenser lens group by an equal distance. Is preferred.
0.18 <d / f <0.38 (1)
Here, d is the distance between the optical axis and the centers of the light beams of excitation light and visible light, and f is the focal length of the condenser lens group. Thereby, the light emitted from the visible light source and the excitation light source can be used more efficiently as illumination light.
It is preferable that the excitation light and the visible light incident on the condenser lens group are substantially parallel lights, and the light beams at the respective light flux centers are incident on the condenser lens group in parallel with each other.
The light source device according to the present invention is preferably disposed on the optical path of visible light, and has light shielding means for periodically making visible light incident on the condenser lens group by periodically blocking visible light. For example, a rotating wheel is used as the light shielding means.
It is preferable that at least one of visible light and excitation light is reflected by the reflection mirror and then incident on the condenser lens group. Thereby, even when the visible light source and the excitation light source emit visible light and excitation light in different directions, the visible light and excitation light can be easily incident on the condenser lens group.
It is preferable that the diameters of the luminous fluxes of visible light and excitation light are substantially the same. Thereby, the light distribution characteristics of the visible light and the excitation light emitted from the light guide are easily matched.
When the excitation light source is a light source that also emits light other than the excitation light, the light emitted from the excitation light source may be incident on the condenser lens group after the light other than the excitation light is cut by the filter. preferable.
When the visible light source is a light source that also emits light other than visible light, the light emitted from the visible light source may be incident on the condenser lens group after light other than visible light is cut by a filter. preferable.
In the present invention, the visible light and the excitation light are irradiated to the observation object without impairing the light in the specific wavelength region, so that the observation image can be observed without impairing the color reproducibility.
A first embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a diagram schematically illustrating an endoscope system according to the first embodiment. The endoscope system in this embodiment includes an
The

On the other hand, when the observation object is irradiated with excitation light, auto-fluorescence is excited in the observation object, and the auto-fluorescence enters the image sensor. In the image sensor, an image corresponding to the incident autofluorescence is formed, and an image signal corresponding to the image is input to the
FIG. 2 is a configuration diagram schematically showing the inside of the
In the
The parallel light emitted from the
The
The
The white light L1 and the excitation light L2 are incident on the
As described above, on the right side of the
The
Here, the white light L <b> 1 and the excitation light L <b> 2 are not incident near the X axis that is near the center of the
However, the light beam at the light beam center of the white light L1 incident on the
Further, the positions where the white light L1 and the excitation light L2 are incident on the
As described above, the white light L1 and the excitation light L2 are irradiated on the object with the same light distribution and the same irradiation range. When a normal observation image and an autofluorescence observation image are obtained by such white light and excitation light, the contrast between these images becomes accurate, and the autofluorescence observation image can be observed more accurately.
In the present embodiment, the white light L1 is incident on the
In order to improve the incidence efficiency of white light and excitation light on the
0.18 <d / f <0.38 (1)
However, d is the distance between the light beam center light beam of the white light L1 and the excitation light L2 incident on the condensing lens group (condensing lens 50) and the optical axis X, and f is the condensing lens group (condensing
If d / f in conditional expression (1) is below the lower limit, the focal length of the condensing
FIG. 3 is a configuration diagram schematically showing the inside of the
In the second embodiment, first and second
The second
Also in the second embodiment, as in the first embodiment, the white light L1 and the excitation light L2 are transmitted to the
Also in the second embodiment, the light beam center light beam of the white light L1 incident on the
In the first and second embodiments, the focal length f of the condenser lens group and the distance d between the optical axis X and the center of the light beam of the white light (and excitation light) are set as shown in Table 1, for example. Here, Example 1 and Example 2 are examples where the condenser lens group is configured by a single aspherical lens as in the first embodiment. On the other hand, Example 3 is an example in the case where the condenser lens group is configured by three lenses as in the second embodiment.
In the first and second embodiments, the condensing
In the first and second embodiments, the white light L1 and the excitation light L2 are incident on the condenser lens group so that their optical paths are parallel with the optical axis X in between. If the distance between the center of the optical path of L1 and the excitation light L2 and the optical axis X is the same, the light may enter the condenser lens group at another position. Even in this case, the white light L1 and the excitation light L2 are incident on the condenser lens group so that their optical paths do not overlap each other.
