Abstract
【解決手段】 LCD11は、フレームの期間のそれぞれにおいて、画面の縦または横の列の画素を単位として列の順に表示を更新する。LEDバックライト12−1乃至LEDバックライト12−Nは、画面の全部の列のうちの一部の列毎に照らすようにLCD11の画素をそれぞれ照らす。表示制御部31は、フレームの期間のそれぞれにおいて、表示が順に更新された画素をLEDバックライト12−1乃至LEDバックライト12−Nのそれぞれが順に照らすように、LEDバックライト12−1乃至LEDバックライト12−Nの発光を制御する。本発明は、表示装置に適用できる。

Claims (7)
- フレームの期間のそれぞれにおいて、画面の縦または横の列の画素を単位として前記列の順に表示が更新される表示手段と、
前記画面の全部の前記列のうちの一部の前記列毎に照らすように前記表示手段の前記画素をそれぞれ照らす複数の光源と、
前記フレームの期間のそれぞれにおいて、表示が順に更新された前記画素をそれぞれの前記光源が順に照らすように、前記光源の発光を制御する制御手段と
を含むことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記制御手段は、
前記フレームに同期させるための同期信号を生成する同期信号生成手段と、
前記同期信号を基に、前記フレームの開始時刻から、前記光源の数に応じてそれぞれに遅延させた、前記光源のそれぞれに対する複数の発光指示信号を生成する発光指示信号生成手段と、
1つの前記発光指示信号を基に、1つの前記光源の発光をそれぞれ制御する複数の発光制御手段と
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記制御手段は、時間の経過に応じて前記発光指示信号の値が変化するように前記発光指示信号の波形を整形する波形整形手段をさらに含み、
前記発光制御手段は、整形された前記発光指示信号の値に応じて、前記光源の発光の強さを変化させるように前記光源の発光を制御する
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記発光指示信号生成手段は、前記フレームの開始時刻に対して所定の期間経過した時刻を基準として、前記光源の数に応じてそれぞれに遅延させた、前記光源のそれぞれに対する複数の前記発光指示信号を生成する
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - フレームの期間のそれぞれにおいて、画面の縦または横の列の画素を単位として前記列の順に表示が更新される表示手段と、前記画面の全部の前記列のうちの一部の前記列毎に照らすように前記表示手段の前記画素をそれぞれ照らす複数の光源とを備える表示装置の表示方法において、
前記フレームの期間のそれぞれにおいて、表示が順に更新された前記画素をそれぞれの前記光源が順に照らすように、前記光源の発光を制御する制御ステップを含む
ことを特徴とする表示方法。 - フレームの期間のそれぞれにおいて、画面の縦または横の列の画素を単位として前記列の順に表示が更新される表示手段と、前記画面の全部の前記列のうちの一部の前記列毎に照らすように前記表示手段の前記画素をそれぞれ照らす複数の光源とを備える表示装置の表示制御処理用のプログラムであって、
前記フレームの期間のそれぞれにおいて、表示が順に更新された前記画素をそれぞれの前記光源が順に照らすように、前記光源の発光を制御する制御ステップを含む
ことを特徴とするコンピュータが読み取り可能なプログラムが記録されている記録媒体。 - フレームの期間のそれぞれにおいて、画面の縦または横の列の画素を単位として前記列の順に表示が更新される表示手段と、前記画面の全部の前記列のうちの一部の前記列毎に照らすように前記表示手段の前記画素をそれぞれ照らす複数の光源とを備える表示装置の表示制御処理を、コンピュータに行わせるプログラムにおいて、
前記フレームの期間のそれぞれにおいて、表示が順に更新された前記画素をそれぞれの前記光源が順に照らすように、前記光源の発光を制御する制御ステップを含む
ことを特徴とするプログラム。
