Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a hydrodynamic bearing device that rotatably supports a shaft member in a non-contact manner by the hydrodynamic action of lubricating oil generated in a bearing gap. This bearing device is a spindle of information equipment such as magnetic disk devices such as HDD and FDD, optical disk devices such as CD-ROM, CD-R / RW and DVD-ROM / RAM, and magneto-optical disk devices such as MD and MO. It is suitable for a motor, a polygon scanner motor of a laser beam printer (LBP), or an electric device such as a small motor such as an axial fan.
In addition to high rotational accuracy, the various motors are required to have high speed, low cost, low noise, and the like. One of the components that determine the required performance is a bearing that supports the spindle of the motor, and in recent years, as this type of bearing, the use of a hydrodynamic bearing having characteristics excellent in the required performance has been studied. Or it is actually used.
For example, in a hydrodynamic bearing device incorporated in a spindle motor of a disk device such as an HDD, a radial bearing portion that supports a shaft member in a non-contact manner in a radial direction and a shaft member is supported in a non-contact manner in a thrust direction. A thrust bearing portion is provided, and a dynamic pressure bearing in which a groove (dynamic pressure groove) for generating dynamic pressure is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the bearing sleeve or the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member is used as the radial bearing portion. As the thrust bearing portion, for example, a motion in which dynamic pressure grooves are provided on both end surfaces of the flange portion of the shaft member, or surfaces facing the flange portion (the end surface of the bearing sleeve, the end surface of the thrust member fixed to the housing, etc.). A pressure bearing is used (for example, refer to Patent Document 1).
The hydrodynamic bearing device having the above-described configuration is composed of parts such as a housing, a bearing sleeve, a shaft member, a thrust member, and a seal member, and ensures high bearing performance required as the performance of information equipment increases. Therefore, efforts are being made to increase the processing accuracy and assembly accuracy of each part. On the other hand, along with the trend of price reduction of information equipment, the demand for cost reduction for this type of hydrodynamic bearing device has become increasingly severe.
One of the important points in reducing the cost of this type of hydrodynamic bearing device is the efficiency of the assembly process. In other words, since the thrust bearing gap of the thrust bearing portion is affected by the assembly accuracy of each part, complicated assembly work is required to set the thrust bearing gap with high accuracy, which is a factor in reducing the efficiency of the assembly process. ing. Also, the housing and bearing sleeve, the housing and thrust member, and the housing and seal member are usually fixed using an adhesive, but it takes a relatively long time from application of the adhesive to solidification. This also contributes to a decrease in the efficiency of the assembly process. Furthermore, there is concern about the possibility of outgassing due to the adhesive and the deterioration of the adhesive strength with time.
An object of the present invention is to provide a hydrodynamic bearing device that can improve the efficiency of the assembly process and that is much lower in cost.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a hydrodynamic bearing device in which outgas generation from a fixed portion between components and deterioration with time of a fixing force are small.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention is attached to a housing formed of a resin material, a bearing sleeve fixed to the inner periphery of the housing, a shaft member having a shaft portion and a flange portion, and one end portion of the housing. A radial bearing portion that is provided between the thrust member, the bearing sleeve, and the shaft portion, and that supports the shaft portion in a non-contact manner in the radial direction by the dynamic pressure action of lubricating oil generated in the radial bearing gap, a bearing sleeve, and a thrust member; A dynamic pressure bearing device provided with a thrust bearing portion provided between the flange portion and a non-contact support of the flange portion in the thrust direction by dynamic pressure action of lubricating oil generated in a thrust bearing gap, wherein the thrust member is The thrust bearing portion has an end surface that serves as a thrust bearing surface, and an integral contact portion that extends from the end surface toward the other end of the housing. Over Bed end surface abuts the, to provide a configuration in which the flange portion on the inner periphery of the abutting portion is accommodated.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a housing formed of a metal material, a bearing sleeve fixed to the inner periphery of the housing, a shaft member having a shaft portion and a flange portion, and one end portion of the housing. A radial bearing portion that is provided between the mounted thrust member, the bearing sleeve and the shaft portion and supports the shaft portion in a radial non-contact manner by the dynamic pressure action of lubricating oil generated in the radial bearing gap, and the bearing sleeve and the thrust A thrust bearing device comprising a thrust bearing portion provided between a member and a flange portion and supporting the flange portion in the thrust direction in a non-contact manner by a dynamic pressure action of lubricating oil generated in a thrust bearing gap. Has an end surface which becomes a thrust bearing surface of the thrust bearing portion, and integrally has a contact portion extending from the end surface to the other end portion side of the housing, and the end surface of the corresponding contact portion is Contact the end face of the receiving sleeve and those, it provides an arrangement in which the flange portion on the inner periphery of the abutting portion is accommodated.
According to the above configuration, the axial position of the thrust member with respect to the bearing sleeve is determined by bringing the end surface of the contact portion of the thrust member into contact with the end surface of the bearing sleeve. Therefore, the thrust bearing gap can be easily and accurately set by managing the axial dimensions of the contact portion of the thrust member and the flange portion of the shaft member.
The said structure WHEREIN: It can be set as the structure which fixed the thrust member to the one end part of the housing by welding. By fixing the housing and the thrust member by welding, it is possible to improve the work efficiency as compared with the fixing by the conventional adhesive, and to prevent or suppress the outgas generation from the fixing portion and the deterioration of the fixing force with time. it can.
Here, “welding” refers to a phenomenon in which one or both joint surfaces of two members to be joined are melted and fixed. As the welding means, for example, ultrasonic welding, vibration welding, high-frequency induction heating welding, hot plate welding, or the like may be appropriately selected and adopted depending on the material of the members to be joined, the joining conditions, and other various conditions. it can. In general, ultrasonic welding is a method in which a strong frictional heat is generated in a part of a resin product or the like by applying pressure simultaneously with ultrasonic vibration to melt and bond a bonded surface. Further, the vibration welding is a direction in which the joining surfaces are melted and fixed by vibrating in a predetermined direction while pressing the two members to be joined. The high frequency induction heating welding is a method in which a high frequency magnetic field is applied to members to be joined, heat is generated due to overcurrent loss, and a joining surface is melted and fixed. The hot plate welding is a method in which a high-temperature heat source (heat plate) is brought into contact with the joint surface of the resin product, and the joint surface is melted and fixed. Of these welding methods, ultrasonic welding is particularly preferred because the equipment is simple and the welding operation can be performed in a short time.
Instead of the above configuration, a thrust member may be attached to one end portion of the housing, and a sealing member may be fixed to the one end portion of the housing by welding.
When the housing is formed of a resin material, it is preferably a thermoplastic resin. In particular, in a housing in which a bearing sleeve is press-fitted and fixed to the inner periphery, the linear expansion coefficient is 8.0 × 10 −5 / ° C. or less. More preferred. That is, a housing for press-fitting and fixing a bearing sleeve requires a press-fitting and fixing force that can withstand the standard acceleration of the bearing sleeve's own weight × impact test. In order to secure the press-fitting and fixing force required in the operating temperature range of 0 to 80 ° C. of this type of hydrodynamic bearing device, the linear expansion coefficient of the resin material forming the housing is 8.0 × 10 −5. / ° C. or less is preferable. The press-fit fixing force can be increased by increasing the press-fit allowance of the bearing sleeve to the housing. However, the press-fit allowance of the resin housing is, for example, press fit when the thickness of the housing is 2 mm or less. The cost is about 100 μm at maximum and preferably about 50 μm. If the press-fitting allowance is further increased, the dimensional accuracy of the outer diameter of the housing is lowered, and there is a possibility that troubles may occur when assembling into a spindle motor or the like, and cracks may be caused in the housing due to excessive pressure input. Specifically, for example, a resin material mainly composed of LCP or PES can be used as the resin material forming the housing.
Further, the bearing sleeve may be formed of sintered metal, the housing may be formed of the same metal material as the bearing sleeve, and the bearing sleeve may be fixed to the inner periphery of the housing by welding. Here, “same kind” means that the main component (base metal) is the same. For example, when the bearing sleeve is formed of a sintered metal containing copper as a main component, the housing is formed of a copper-based metal such as brass. With this configuration, the housing and the bearing sleeve can be firmly fixed by ultrasonic welding or the like.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to improve the efficiency of the assembly process, and at a lower cost, the hydrodynamic bearing device is less likely to generate outgas from the fixed portion between the components and the deterioration with time of the fixing force. Can be provided.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described.

FIG. 2 shows the

The
The
The
On the inner
A spiral dynamic pressure groove 8c1 as shown in FIG. 3B, for example, is formed on the
As shown in FIG. 3C, the
The
The
First, the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
Next, the
Thereafter, the
When the assembly is completed as described above, the
As a means for fixing the
When the
As described above, the dynamic pressure groove 8a1 of the first radial bearing portion R1 is formed to be axially asymmetric with respect to the axial center m, and the axial dimension X1 of the upper region from the axial center m is the lower region. It is larger than the axial dimension X2 of {Fig. 3 (a)}. Therefore, when the

The
The sealing
After the
