ピストンおよびロッドアセンブリが軸方向に移動するときに流体を流体源からピストンおよびロッドアセンブリの軸方向通路内に方向付けるステップと、
ピストンおよびロッドアセンブリに対し第1の付勢力を生成している加圧流体がシリンダ本体内でピストンおよびロッドアセンブリの軸方向通路内の流体と実質的に連通することを防止するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 加圧流体をピストンおよびロッドアセンブリの軸方向通路内に方向付けることによって、ピストンおよびロッドアセンブリに対し第2の付勢力を軸方向に生成するステップを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- ピストンおよびロッドアセンブリに対し第2の付勢力を生成するステップが、ピストンおよびロッドアセンブリの軸方向通路内に摺動可能に配置されかつ軸方向通路から、軸方向通路とシリンダ本体の壁部との間のシリンダ本体の内部キャビティ内に延在する管状要素を通して加圧流体を方向付けるステップを含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
