本発明は、RFID識別技術を利用したゲーム提供システムおよび該システムに用いられるゲーム装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来の業務用ゲーム提供施設に設置されている、多くのゲーム提供装置やゲームシステムでは、一つのシステムで一つのゲームが準備されていることが一般的である。
ゲームを楽しみたい者は自らその装置が設置してあるアーケードゲーム施設まで赴き、希望するゲーム装置を探す必要がある。そして、そのゲーム装置が既に他人によって利用されていた場合は、その利用の終了を待たなければならない。

また、現在ではプリペイドカードなどによりコインレスのゲームプレイが可能になっているが、プリペイドカードを利用した場合、利用ポイントの追加が出来ない関係上使い捨てとなり資源の無駄が発生する上に、少額の残高が発生した場合には、それを使い切るための手間がかかることとなる。そして形状はプラスチック製のカード状に限られ、その寸法(縦,横および厚さ)も規格統一された一種類に限定される。

一方、使用者を識別するための物理アイテムを利用したシステムが存在する。しかし、1つの識別アイテムは1シリーズの専用ゲーム筐体に限られており、他のゲーム筐体等、多岐に渡っての利用は出来ない状況にある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明の目的は、RFID識別技術(無線通信を使う識別技術)発信機を内蔵したカードやコイン、タグ、人形などの物理アイテムと、その発信機より発信される情報を受信、認識することにより個人を識別して個人情報を入手することが出来るRFID受信機を内蔵したゲーム提供端末とを使用することにより、1つのゲーム提供装置でありながら複数のゲームの提供が可能であり、さらにLANやインターネットなどのネットワーク技術を使用してゲーム利用権を予め設定することができるゲーム提供システムおよび該システムに用いられるゲーム装置を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記目的を達成するために請求項1記載の発明は、電波を受けることにより電源パワーを誘起し、該電源パワーにより送信部を起動してID情報を送信するID識別装置と、前記電波を発信する送信部および受信部を有し、該電波を発信する送信部付近に前記ID識別装置を載置する搭載部,画像表示部,ゲーム実行手段および操作手段を有する1以上のゲーム提供装置と、前記1以上のゲーム提供装置と無線または有線で接続され、前記ID識別装置対応にゲームに関する情報を保持するゲーム情報格納部,前記ゲーム提供装置と通信を行う通信部および前記ゲームに関する情報の管理制御を行う制御手段を有するゲーム管理サーバ装置と、前記ゲーム提供装置内またはゲーム管理サーバ装置内に設置され、ゲームを提供する主体毎に、それぞれ提供されるゲームプログラムを格納するゲームプログラム格納手段と、料金を納入するための料金納入装置とを備え、前記ID識別装置が前記搭載部に搭置された場合、前記ID識別装置が発信するID情報を前記ゲーム提供装置を介して前記ゲーム管理サーバ装置に送り、該ゲーム管理サーバ装置はID対応に蓄積されているゲームに関する情報を前記ゲーム提供装置に返送し、その情報に基づく画像を前記ゲーム提供装置の画像表示部に表示し、プレーヤーが予納してある料金または投入した料金で、プレーヤーが選択または再開するゲームの起動が可能なとき、前記ゲームプログラム格納手段より選択または再開するゲームプログラムを読み出し、ゲームを開始するように構成したことを特徴とする。
請求項2記載の発明は、請求項1記載の発明において前記ゲーム提供装置の1つは、操作部としてジョイステックと複数のボタンを備え、バトル系などのゲームを読み出し実行可能であり、1つは操作部にガンを備え、ガンシューティング系などのゲームを読み出し実行可能であり、他の1つは、操作部としてハンドル,アクセルペダル,ブレーキペダルおよびシフトノブを備え、レーシング系などのゲームを読み出し実行可能であることを特徴とする。
請求項3記載の発明は、請求1または2記載の発明において前記ID識別装置は、少なくともID情報を格納するICメモリと、前記ゲーム提供装置と通信を行う通信回路と、電源パワーを誘起するための小形アンテナとを有するRFIDカードであることを特徴とする。
請求項4記載の発明は、請求項3記載の発明において前記RFIDカードは人形,動物,模型または文具の形状筐体に収容されたことを特徴とする。
請求項5記載の発明は、請求項1,2,3または4記載の発明において前記料金納入装置としてゲーム料金を予め支払うゲーム利用権販売装置が前記ゲーム管理サーバ装置に接続されたことを特徴とする。
請求項6記載の発明は、請求項1記載の発明において公衆回線または専用回線を介して端末装置から料金を予納される料金決済用サーバ装置を有し、該料金決済用サーバ装置は、前記ゲーム管理サーバ装置からアクセスがあった場合、各プレーヤ毎の料金のチャージ情報を送信することを特徴とする。
請求項7記載の発明は、請求項1記載の発明において少なくともID情報を格納するICメモリと、前記ゲーム提供装置と通信を行う通信回路と、電源パワーを誘起するための小形アンテナとを有するRFIDカードと、前記電波を発信する送信部および受信部を有し、該電波を発する送信部付近に前記ID識別装置を載置する搭載部,画像表示部,ゲーム実行手段および操作手段を有するゲーム提供装置とからなることを特徴とする。

上記構成によれば、ゲーム提供装置は、例えば業務用ゲーム提供施設内または他所に設置されているゲーム管理サーバ装置より、また同施設内に設置されているゲーム管理サーバ装置は他所に設置されているゲーム管理サーバ装置より、通信網を介してゲームプログラムおよびそれに付属するプレイデータ、プレーヤーデータ等のデータを取得し、ゲーム提供装置の標準操作装備を使用してプレイ可能なゲームであれば、プレーヤーが選択することにより一つのゲーム提供装置でありながら複数のゲームを行うことができる。また、ゲーム利用権を予め設定することができる。

本発明におけるゲーム提供装置は、例えば業務用ゲーム提供施設に設置され、RFID識別技術を使用した受信機を内蔵している。そして、そのゲーム提供装置の利用者がRFID識別技術を利用した発信機を内蔵した業務用ゲーム提供システムに対応した物理アイテム(ID識別装置)を有し、該物理アイテムを使用することによって、利用者のゲーム利用に必要な個人情報を入手し、その情報を用いて、様々なサービスを提供することが可能になる。
サービスの内容は例えば
(1) 最新にプレイしたゲームの、その中断地点からの速やかな再開が可能になり、
(2) 予め専用の装置で加算しておいた装置利用権を使用した課金システムが可能になり、
(3) 本システムで提供している複数のゲームにおけるプレイ結果を処理した様々な情報を提供可能になり、
(4) 業務用ゲーム提供システムに対応した物理アイテム各々が有する識別番号と、その利用者が設定したパスワードと、インターネットを使用してゲーム管理サーバ装置内に保管されている識別番号に対応した各種データを使用して情報提供や情報の更新、ゲームプレイが可能になる。
(5) また、業務用ゲーム提供施設には本発明における物理アイテムにゲーム利用権を追加することが可能なゲーム利用権販売装置を併設し、利用者は各自保有する物理アイテムをこの販売機へ装着し、希望するだけの利用権に対応する価格を、現金やカードによって料金の支払処理を行うことによって希望した量の利用権を物理アイテムに追加加算することが可能になる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面を参照して本発明の実施の形態を詳しく説明する。
図1は、本発明によるRFID識別技術を利用したゲーム提供システムの実施の形態を示すブロック図で、仮想の店舗に設置した例である。
店舗内にはAタイプの標準操作装備を有するゲーム提供装置A1 ・・・An と、Bタイプの標準操作装備を有するゲーム提供装置B1 ・・・Bn と、特殊タイプの操作装備を有するゲーム提供装置C1 ・・・Cn が設置されている。例えば、ゲーム提供装置A1 ・・・An が10台,ゲーム提供装置B1 ・・・Bn が3台が設置され、さらに特殊タイプのゲーム提供装置C1 ・・・Cn として後付式のRFID識別技術を使用した受信機を内蔵するネットワークユニットを付属させることによりコインレス化を施したタイプの装置、射撃型ゲーム2台,クレーンゲーム4台,シールプリント装置4台,さらにダンスゲーム2台などが設置される。

これらゲーム提供装置は、店舗施設内専用室9または他の個所に設置されたゲーム管理サーバ装置3に接続されている。また、店舗2内には別にRFID識別技術を利用使用した発信機を内蔵する業務用ゲーム提供システムに対応した物理アイテム(以下、「Gパーツ」という)1へゲーム利用権を追加加算するための入金用のゲーム利用権販売装置41 ・・・4n が設置されており、これもゲーム管理サーバ装置3に接続されている。
利用者は自らのGパーツ1によって各ゲーム提供装置のゲームを行うことができる。以上、店舗2に設置される全てのゲーム提供装置のコインレス化が実現されている。

Aタイプの標準操作装備は、1つのジョイスティックと6つの操作ボタンによって構成される現在最も一般的な業務用ゲーム筐体であり、またタイプBのそれは、ハンドル,アクセル,ブレーキ,シフトノブ,その他、数個の操作ボタンより構成され、これも現在最も一般的な業務用カーレースゲーム筐体である。その他に、ある程度操作系が統一可能であるもの、麻雀ゲーム,モニタを使用した個人用のメダルゲーム,ケーブルで接続された銃型コントローラを使用するガンゲームなども存在する。

図2は、図1のゲーム提供装置の外観を示す斜視図で、Aタイプの例である。ゲーム本体10の中央正面に画面表示部11が配置され、テーブル上にジョイスティック13と6個のボタンスイッチ15が設置されている。テーブル右端奥にはGパーツ1と近接して通信を行うためのGパーツ搭載部14が設けられている。テーブルの前面右端にはコインを投入するためのコイン投入口12が設置されている。ゲーム提供装置に設置されているコイン投入部12にコインを投入することによってもGパーツを用いることなくゲームを起動することが可能になっている。ゲームはゲーム利用権販売装置4による予納処理によるゲーム利用権を得て行うことができるが、このようにコイン投入によってもゲームを楽しむことができる。
予納した金額のゲーム利用権が不足した場合には、ゲーム利用権販売装置4によって不足分を補うことが可能である。

図3Aは、ID識別装置(Gパーツ)およびゲーム提供装置の詳細を示す回路ブロック図である。
Gパーツ1は送信部および受信部よりなる通信部22,メモリ部20およびゲーム提供装置から電波を受けることにより電力を誘起するコイルよりなる誘起部21を備えている。
メモリ部20には個々のGパーツ1を識別するための管理番号のみが記録されており、この管理番号がゲーム提供装置を介してゲーム管理サーバ装置3に送出されると、照合キーとして顧客番号,暗証番号,顧客名,課金情報などの総ての個人情報がゲーム管理サーバ装置3より出力される。したがって、Gパーツ1は自らを識別させるための管理番号のみを常に発信していることと同じであり、Gパーツ1自体に他のデータを記録したり、データの追加や変更をしたりすることはない。これによりGパーツ使用時には必ずゲーム管理サーバ装置3との情報交換が必要となるというマイナス面があるが、セキュリティ強化の面とGパーツ自体の販売の容易さの面において、大きなプラスとなる。

Gパーツ1は、その内部にRFID識別技術を利用した発信機,誘起部などを内蔵していれば、その形状・素材は自由に設計することが可能である。例えばキャラクタフィギュアでやキャラクタのグッズを付属させた携帯ストラップを構成することができる。また、発信機,誘起部が付加された携帯機器(PDA,携帯電話,パソコンなど)や従来から存在するキャラクタ等を印刷したカードを構成することもできる。単に個人情報を識別させるための発信機だけには止まらず、キャラクターグッズとしての付加価値を与えることが可能であり、これによりテレフォンカードのような本来の目的以外の購入目的を獲得することにより、購入意欲を増進させることも可能である。

Aタイプの情報提供装置は、通信部25,CPU26,RAM27,ROM28,操作部29,サウンド回路30,スピーカ31,コイン投入口32,コイン検出部33,画像処理部34,画像表示部11およびバス35を備えている。
通信部25は、Gパーツ搭載部14に置かれたGパーツと近接無線通信を行い、さらにLANを介してゲーム管理サーバ装置3とデータのやり取りを行う。ROM28には、本情報提供装置を制御するプログラムやデータなどが格納される。RAM27には、ゲーム管理サーバ装置3から送られてくる利用者が選択したゲームプログラムが格納される。また、制御を行うための作業領域として利用される。
CPU26は、ゲームプログラムを実行したり、全体の制御を司る。画像処理部34は、CPU26からの指示に従い,画像処理を行い、画像表示部11に処理された画像を表示する。

サウンド回路30からはCPU26の指示により待ち受け時のバックミュージックやゲーム実行時の背景音や音声などの信号が出力され、ミュージックなどがスピーカ31より出力される。利用者は操作部29のジョイスティック13と6個のボタンスイッチ15を用いてゲームをすることができる。コイン投入口32にコインが投入された場合、コイン検知部33で検知され、その情報はCPU26に送られる。
Aタイプ以外のBタイプや特殊タイプの情報提供装置も、基本的には上記回路と同じ構成部分を有しており、Bタイプについては操作部29の構成が異なる。また、特殊タイプについては操作部29に、それ独自の機構部などが装備される。

図3Bは、ゲーム利用権販売装置の詳細を示す回路ブロック図である。
ゲーム管理サーバ装置3と通信を行う通信部4f,利用者がゲーム利用権を得るためにその利用者のGパーツを搭載するGパーツ搭載部4b,コインを投入できるコイン投入口4cおよび料金カードの内容を読み取るカード読取部4dを有している。利用者が利用権を得るためにGパーツ搭載部4bにGパーツを搭載し、コイン投入するか、またはキャッシュカードを挿入して読み込みがなされると、制御部4aは、コインの投入の場合はコイン検知部4eによって投入金額を検知する。また、キャッシュカードの場合は所定の金額の支払処理がなされると、その金額を読み込み、Gパーツ対応の管理番号に納入された金額のゲーム利用権を設定する。この情報は通信部4fによってゲーム管理サーバ装置3に送られる。

つぎにゲーム管理サーバ装置の回路構成について説明する。
図1のゲーム管理サーバ装置3には本発明に直接関係する回路部分のみを記載している。
ゲーム管理サーバ装置3は、制御部8,通信部5およびメモリ部6を備えている。通信部5は、制御部8の制御に基づきLANを介してゲーム提供装置およびゲーム利用権販売装置4と通信を行う。
メモリ部6には、ゲーム提供装置に提供される業務用のゲームが格納されており、例えばゲーム会社Aのゲームプログラム61 ,・・・ゲーム会社nのゲームプログラム6n がそれぞれ格納されている。また、管理情報として上述したように顧客番号,暗証番号,顧客名,課金情報などの個人情報が格納され、さらにゲームが中断されているなどのゲームに関する情報も格納される。ゲーム管理サーバ装置3は公衆回線を介してインターネットに接続されている。

ゲーム管理サーバ装置3はこのように構成されているため、各ゲーム提供装置はゲームを実行するに必要な全てのプログラムやデータをゲーム管理サーバ装置3より入手・保存することを可能である。また、ゲーム提供装置の仕様に則って作成してあるためソフト制作会社を問わずゲームプログラムを実行可能である。この形態は、携帯電話機に多数の企業がゲームソフトを供給することと同様なシステムであり、本発明における業務用ゲームシステムにおいても携帯電話機と同様の手法でゲームソフトを供給することが可能である。
制御部8はこの収入形式について、例えば以下のように処理する。利用者が1ゲームに使用する100円という利益がある場合、これをシステム管理会社が10円、ゲーム運営施設が60円、ゲーム提供会社が30円の割合で分配するように集計する。そして、その集計値が次月に各企業へ入金されるように図示しない出力装置に表示したり、データとして出力する。

本発明ではゲーム機本体のコインレスを行っているため、ゲーム管理サーバ装置3でのゲーム収入の演算が容易となり、集金方法の効率化を図ることができる。
以上の実施の形態は、ゲーム管理サーバ装置3のメモリ部6に各ソフト会社のゲームプログラムを格納する例について説明したが、容量の大きなゲームプログラムやデータ自体は予めできる限りゲーム提供装置に記憶しておくことが有効である。しかしながらは、このように構成する場合にはセキュリティ向上のため、それら各ゲームプログラムの起動時には、その承認行為をゲーム提供装置を管理するゲーム管理サーバ装置に伺い立てるようにすることが必要である。

図4Aおよび図4Bは、本発明によるRFID識別技術を利用したゲーム提供システムの動作および操作を説明するためのフローチャートである。
ゲーム施設利用者が、標準操作装備を有するゲーム提供装置を利用する場合、空いているゲーム提供装置へと移動し、持参したGパーツ1をゲーム提供装置のGパーツ搭載部14に載せることにより規定距離まで接近させる。ゲーム提供装置のCPU26は、通信部25内の発信部から近距離用電波を発信させており、Gパーツ1が規定の距離内に入って、起電し発せられる電波によってGパーツ固有の管理番号(ID情報)が送られてくると、これを受信する。管理番号はゲーム管理サーバ装置3に送信される(ステップ(以下「S」という)001,002)。

ゲーム管理サーバ装置3の制御部8は、管理番号に基づきそのGパーツ1の情報をゲーム提供装置に返送する(S003)。そしてゲーム提供装置は画像表示部11に所定のメニューを表示するとともにCPU26によって個人情報が設定されているか、すなわち初めてゲーム提供装置を利用するか否かを判断する(S004,S005)。初めての場合には、パスワード入力を要求する画面を表示する(S006)。利用者がパスワードを入力すると、各ゲーム会社のゲームを選択する画面を表示する(S007,S008)。利用者がゲームを選択する(S009)と、つぎにそのゲームを行う利用料金がチャージされているか否かを判断するS012に移行する。

S005においてゲーム利用が初めてでない場合は、前回中断したゲームがあるか否かを判断する(S010)。中断したゲームが存在しない場合にはゲーム選択画面を表示するS008に移行する。中断したゲームが存在する場合にはそのゲームの再開を希望する旨が設定されているか否かを判断する(S011)。再開希望が設定されていない場合はゲーム選択画面を表示するS008に移行する。再開希望が設定されている場合にはそのゲームを行うべき利用料金がチャージされているか否かを判断するS012に移行する。

S012においてCPU26は利用料金がチャージされている場合は選択したゲームまたは再開希望のゲームを開始する(S015)。利用料金がチャージされていな場合は、料金投入を指示する画面を表示する(S013)。利用者がコイン投入口12からゲームを行うに可能な料金のコインを投入するか、またはゲーム利用権販売装置4により料金を納入する(S014)と、選択したゲームまたは再開希望のゲームを開始する(S015)。
このようにして初期にチェックされるべき項目を検証する。
ゲームが行われている間、所定時間毎にCPU26はゲームを終了する操作がなされたか否か、さらにゲームオーバーか否かを判断する(S016,S017)。ゲームを終了する操作がされたか、またはゲームオーバーであると判断した場合には該ゲームでの最高得点などのゲーム中の成績を画面に表示した(S018)後、Gパーツ1と通信可能か否かの判断を行う(S022)。

一方、ゲームが継続されている場合にはゲームを中断する操作がなされたか否かを判断する(S019)。ゲームが中断されていない場合にはS016に移行する。ゲームが中断された場合にはつぎに自動再開するかの操作がなされたか否かの判断をする(S020)。自動再開する場合にはそのデータをゲーム管理サーバ装置3のメモリ部6に管理情報7として格納する(S021)。管理情報として格納したとき、または次回自動再開しないとき、Gパーツ1と通信可能か否かの判断を行うS022に移行する。
Gパーツ1と通信を行うことができない場合は、利用者がそのゲーム提供装置から立ち去ったとしてゲーム終了の処理を行う。依然としてGパーツ1と通信が可能である場合には画像表示部11に他のゲームを行うかの否かの選択画面を表示する(S023)。他のゲームを行わない場合にはゲーム終了の処理を行う。他のゲームを選択した場合にはS010に移行する。

以上のようにそのGパーツを購入したばかりで個人情報が設定されていない場合は、顧客番号や暗証番号などの個人情報の入力画面へと移行したり、利用権(料金)が足りなければそれを告知するメッセージを表示したする。さらに前回のゲームで再開を設定したものであれば、そのゲームプログラムと個人情報をキーとして保管されているプレイ結果をゲーム管理サーバ装置より取得してゲームを再開する。また、それらに該当しない場合には、ゲーム管理サーバ装置より複数の企業が制作し提供している現在実行可能なゲームリストを取得してゲーム選択および各種データ閲覧画面を表示し、利用者の操作を待つという内容のプロセスを実行する。

図5は、図1のシステムに利用権を予め設定するための装置を接続した例を示す回路ブロック図である。
図1に示す店舗35A , 35B ・・・35N 内のゲーム管理サーバ装置が公衆回線36を介してインターネット37に接続されている。インターネット37には料金決済サーバ装置39が接続されている。料金決済はすでに説明したように各店舗のゲーム利用権販売装置4で行うことができる。例えば、店舗内のゲーム利用権販売装置4によってGパーツに記録・入金されているゲーム利用権を任意の量だけ利用代金として消費して支払うことが可能である。ゲーム利用権販売装置4からの情報は店舗内のゲーム管理サーバ装置を経由し、公衆回線,インターネットサービスを介し他所に設けられている料金決済サーバ装置39に伝達される。料金決済サーバ装置39はインターネットサービスを統合管理しており、該情報が伝達された場合、そのGパーツの個人情報に関連づけられているインターネット有料サービスの利用権を追加加算する。
料金決済はパソコン38から行うことも可能であり、さらにATM装置40等、キャッシュカードやコンビニ、銀行振込などを利用した決済が可能である。

また、ネットワークユニットを装備したゲーム提供装置を使用する場合では、基本的には利用料金の支払いに関する情報の管理のみを行う為、前述した専用機が可能とする様々な効果を得ることはできない。
このようにゲームシステムが利用されることにより、店内のゲーム管理サーバ装置へ各種ゲーム機の利用情報が随時送信蓄積され、集められた利用状況の情報は、最終的に全てを管理しているメインサーバ装置41へと送られる。そして、それら情報を元にして集金・売上分配・経営分析等様々な運営行為が実行されることになる。

本発明ではゲーム利用権およびゲームデータの使用に関しては、専用の操作装置を有したり、単一のゲームのみ実行可能である業務用ゲーム装置においても応用可能であり、業務用ゲーム提供施設内に設置される全てのゲーム機器を統合した利用料金決済システムと情報収集システムを構築することにより、効率的な店舗経営が可能となる。
また、様々な業務用ゲーム提供装置の操作系が規格化されることにより部品の共有化や大量生産によってコストダウンを実現することができ、運営施設側の経費削減やメンテナンス性の向上、また開発コストの低減を見込むことができる。

以上の実施の形態では、ゲーム管理サーバ装置にゲームプログラム格納部を収容している例について説明したが、ゲームプログラム格納部を各ゲーム提供装置に格納するようにしても良い。このような構成の場合には選択されるすべてのゲームプログラムについてゲーム管理サーバ装置に対し承認を得ることが必要である。
