UV感光乳剤を用いたスクリーン版の製版において、UV感光乳剤を塗布したスクリーン版沙上に、マスキング用としてインクジェットプリンタにて画像を出力する製版方法は、オンデマンド印刷に対応するものであり製版工程を大幅に短縮でき、かつ従来手作業で行われていた製版工程をデータダイレクトオンスクリーンにておこなえる方法として非常に注目されている。

特開平10−16177は、この製版方法について述べられており、その発明の実施の形態において、このプリンタに用いられるインクジェット用マスキングインクは、着色剤は染料でも顔料でも良く、色相は隠蔽性のある黒が良いが、ある程度UVを通し難ければ何色であっても良い、とあるが、黒顔料インクのみでは若干の硬化が起こってしまい、UV未硬化部を高圧水の噴射により除去する際、高圧水の噴射のみでは画像部分が抜けにくく抜け性が良いとはいえないのが現状であり、UV遮光性に優れているとはいえない。

本発明の目的はスクリーン版の製版のマスキング用インクにおいて、UV照射による感光乳剤の硬化防止に優れたマスキング用インクを提供することにある。

目的を達成するため、本発明は、UV感光乳剤を用いたスクリーン版の製版において、UV感光乳剤を塗布したスクリーン版沙上に、マスキング用としてインクジェットプリンタにて画像を出力する際に用いるインクジェット用マスキングインクであり、紫外線吸収剤を含むことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明者らは鋭意検討の結果、UV感光乳剤を用いたスクリーン版の製版において、UV感光乳剤を塗布したスクリーン版沙上に、マスキング用としてインクジェットプリンタにて画像を出力する際に用いるインクジェット用マスキングインクであり、少なくとも紫外線吸収剤を含むことにより、UV照射による感光乳剤の硬化防止に優れたマスキング用インクである本発明を提供するに至った。

紫外線吸収剤は有機系のものと無機系のものに大別でき、有機系紫外線吸収剤にはベンゾトリアゾール系、サリチル酸系、ベンゾフェノン系、トリアジン系などがあり、無機系紫外線吸収剤としては酸化チタンや酸化亜鉛、酸化セリウムなどが一般的に知られている。紫外線吸収剤としては、ベンゾフェノン系でかつ水溶性のものが好ましいが、これに限定するものではない。

また、着色顔料および染料は必ずしも必要とはしないが、着色顔料または染料を含むことにより目視による版の管理が容易になるため、少なくとも着色顔料または染料を含むことが望ましい。

溶媒は水が好ましいが、これに限定するものではなく、アルコールやエチレングリコールなど他の溶剤を用いてもよい。また、必要に応じて他の添加剤を加えても良い。

以下に実施例を挙げて本発明を具体的に説明するが、本発明がこれによって限定されるものではない。

表1の成分を各々混合し、十分撹拌し溶解後、この溶液を3μmのポリテトロフルオロポアフィルターを通し、インクジェット用マスキングインクを得た。

得られた実施例1〜6および比較例のインクジェット用マスキングインクを、互応化学工業社製感光乳剤プラスプリントW−300を塗布し40℃20分間乾燥処理を行ったスクリーン版沙上に、インクジェットプリンタにて画像を出力した後、10cmの距離から100Wのケミカルランプを15秒間照射し、実施例1〜6および比較例のインクジェット用マスキングインクでマスクされた箇所を高圧水の噴射により除去を行った。

紫外線吸収剤を含む実施例1〜6全て抜け性が良く、なかでも水溶性ベンゾフェノン系紫外線吸収剤を含む実施例1の抜け性が優れている。また比較例では抜け性は悪く、使用可能ではあるが高圧水のみでは除去できなかった。

従って、UV感光乳剤を用いたスクリーン版の製版において、UV感光乳剤を塗布したスクリーン版沙上に、マスキング用としてインクジェットプリンタにて画像を出力する際に用いるインクジェット用マスキングインクであり、少なくとも紫外線吸収剤を含むこと、により遮光性に優れたマスキング用インクである本発明を提供することが可能となった。紫外線吸収剤が水溶性ベンゾフェノン系をインクジェット用マスキングインク中に含むことにより、UV感光乳剤の硬化を妨げることができ、より効果が得られた。
