この発明は、空気式防舷材に関し、特に、防舷材本体の外方面を覆うネットを構成するワイヤー等の線条体が保護された空気式防舷材及びその保護方法に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
図8は、従来の空気式防舷材の概略構成を示した図である。

図を参照して、空気式防舷材1は、ゴム等の弾性体材料で構成され、その内部に空気が密封された中空の俵形状を有する防舷材本体2と、防舷材本体2の外方面を覆うワイヤーネット4とからなる。このような空気式防舷材1は、船舶同志の洋上接舷時に船舶に取付けたり、岸壁に係留して使用され、変形しつつ船舶の運動エネルギーを吸収し、船体や岸壁を保護することができるものである。

ワイヤーネット4は、船舶の塗装面及び防舷材自体の損傷を防止する目的で、防舷材本体2の外周壁を覆うように取り付けられている。このワイヤーネット4は、防舷材本体2の外周壁に沿って長手方向に配置されたワイヤー8a及び8b等と、周方向を環状に囲うように配置されたワイヤー7a〜7fとが互いに編み合わされて構成されている。周方向を囲うワイヤー7a〜7fのうち、防舷材本体2の長手方向のほぼ中央に位置するワイヤー7c及び7dにはそれぞれ、タイヤ5a〜5c及び6a〜6cが取付けられている。また、各々のワイヤーには、ワイヤー自体が岸壁等に接触して損傷するのを防止するために、ゴム等の可撓性材料で形成された筒形状のスリーブ15が、予めワイヤーを挿通することによって複数取付けられている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記の空気式防舷材では、ワイヤーは円筒形状のスリーブにより保護されているが、周方向に配置されたワイヤーの両端同志の接続部は、最後に結束作業を行うために、他の部分のように予めスリーブ等の保護材にワイヤーを挿通する方法で保護することができない。したがって、接続部のワイヤーは露出した状態となり、使用の際に、露出したワイヤー部分、特に、両端部同志を結束している細手のサブワイヤーが岸壁等との接触で摩耗して破断してしまうおそれがある。

この発明は、上記の課題を解決するためになされたもので、防舷材本体を覆うネットを構成するワイヤー等の線条体の全体が保護された空気式防舷材及びその保護方法を提供することを目的とする。

上記の課題を達成するために、請求項1記載の発明は、空気式防舷材であって、中空の俵形状を有する防舷材本体と、防舷材本体の周方向を環状に囲うように配置された少なくとも1本の線条体と、線条体の両端同志を接続する接続部と、線条体及び接続部の少なくとも一部に対して外方から着脱自在に取付けられ、少なくとも一部の外面全周を囲う保護部材とからなるものである。
