Abstract
Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a sheet post-processing apparatus that accepts recording paper discharged from an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, a printer, or a facsimile machine, and performs post-processing such as selective folding, sorting, and binding.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a sheet processing apparatus that folds a recording sheet into a Z shape and ejects the recording sheet, the ejecting speed is controlled so that the folding portion inside the Z-fold is not caught by the ejecting roller so as to be inside the ejecting roller. (For example, refer to Patent Publication 1). Here, the bag portion of the Z-fold paper is stacked on the first stacking tray. In the apparatus disclosed in this publication, when the Z-folded paper P to be transported is stacked on a processing tray by a pair of transport rollers and further discharged to a stack tray by a discharge roller, the Z-fold sheet size to be discharged is set to X And the distance from the rear end of the Z-folded paper P discharged from the pair of transport rollers to the folding part PM inside the Z-folded paper is X / 2, A> The paper discharge speed of the conveying roller pair is controlled so as to satisfy (X / 2 + α). As a result, the folded portion inside the Z-folded paper is not caught by the paper discharge roller, and the Z-folded paper is stacked on the processing tray. That is, the inner folding portion of the Z-fold paper is stacked on the processing tray.
[0003]
In addition, in order to prevent misalignment due to the sheet hitting on the stack tray, the downstream side (single leaf portion) of the Z-folded sheet is detected and the stack tray is lowered by a predetermined amount (see, for example, Patent Document 2). Here, since the single-sheet portion (one location) of the Z-folded paper is detected by the paper surface detection means, the bag portion on the upstream side of the paper rises upward from the detected location. The fixed amount is lowered to prevent misalignment due to the contact between the next loaded paper and the paper on the stack tray.

[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional apparatus (Patent Document 1) as described above, the Z-folded sheets have a unique form in which three sheets overlap in half of the sheets and remain one in the other half. Therefore, if the overlapping part of the Z-folded paper and the remaining one part are stacked on the processing tray at the same time, the overlapping part is extremely inflated and the processing tray becomes full with several sheets, and the number of staples is extremely reduced. . In addition, if the processing tray space is widened in an attempt to load a large number of sheets, the machine height increases and the size increases. Furthermore, there is a problem that the curve formed by the bag portion and the single leaf portion increases as the number of stacked sheets increases.
[0006]
Further, in the conventional apparatus (Patent Document 1), since the processing tray does not move up and down, the height of the uppermost sheet of the sheet increases each time the sheet is conveyed, and the contact angle and contact area of the next sheet to be loaded As a result, there is a problem that the pop-out amount is not constant and the alignment accuracy is deteriorated. In particular, there is a problem that the alignment accuracy deteriorates when the number of loaded sheets is large.
[0007]
Further, in the detection method of the conventional apparatus (Patent Document 2), the curl state and the folding state of the paper are different from one sheet to another. Must be set. When set in the worst state (large descending amount), the abutting angle between the sheet on the stack tray and the next sheet to be carried in becomes large, and there is a problem that misalignment such as buckling and extrusion occurs.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and in an apparatus for post-processing a folded sheet, the number of sheets to be processed is increased and stable by reducing resistance caused by the bulging of the folded sheet. The first object is to realize the post-processing in the above state.
[0009]
A second object of the present invention is to provide a post-processing device with high alignment accuracy in a device for post-processing sheets after folding, and enabling stacking of a plurality of folded sheets.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the sheet post-processing apparatus according to claim 1 sequentially receives sheets to be post-processed including sheets after folding, discharges paper after performing predetermined processing. In the sheet post-processing apparatus to be stacked, a first stacking unit for temporarily stacking the sheet to be post-processed and performing a predetermined post-processing, and a downstream side of the first stacking unit, When post-processing a second stacking unit for stacking sheets to be processed and a folded sheet, the sheet is discharged to the second stacking unit with a bag portion formed by stacking the sheets at the head, And a sheet discharge control unit that stacks the unit on the first stacking unit.
[0011]
According to the present invention, the first stacking unit that transports the overlapped portion (bag portion) of the folded paper to the second stacking unit and performs post-processing on the single leaf portion (for example, 1/4 of the sheet length). By transporting to the means, it becomes possible to perform post-processing such as alignment on the first stacking means in a state in which the resistance caused by the bulge is reduced, and a large number of post-processed sheets on the paper discharge portion Can be loaded.
[0012]
The sheet post-processing apparatus according to
[0013]
According to the present invention, the overlapped portion (bag portion) of the folded paper is stacked on the second stacking means that can be moved up and down, the remaining one sheet portion is stacked on the first stacking means, By lowering the uppermost sheet of the second stacking unit with respect to each sheet according to the sheet surface information of the detecting unit until the uppermost sheet of the second stacking unit becomes flat, it is possible to always stack the posture of the bulging portion caused by the sheet folding in a stable state. It becomes possible.
[0014]
The sheet post-processing apparatus according to claim 3 further includes a first detection unit that detects an uppermost sheet surface on the first stacking unit, and a sheet surface position information of the first detection unit. A first elevation means for elevating and lowering the first stacking means, and the paper discharge control means is configured such that the paper surface position of the first detection means each time paper is carried into the first stacking means. According to the information, the height of the sheet on the first stacking means is controlled to a substantially constant position.
[0015]
According to this invention, the position of the paper surface is detected by the first detection means, and the first stacking means is moved horizontally in the vertical direction according to the paper surface information, so that the contact angle with the next paper to be carried in, The contact area can be made constant regardless of the number of sheets loaded.
[0016]
Further, in the paper post-processing apparatus according to claim 4, the paper discharge control means is a bulge formed by paper folding on the second stacking means according to the paper surface position information of the second detection means. The curved shape by the portion is lowered via the second lifting means so as to be substantially flat.
[0017]
According to this invention, the position of the uppermost paper is detected by the second detecting means, and the curved shape is made substantially flat by the bulge portion formed by folding the paper on the second stacking means according to the paper surface position information. Further, when the sheet is lowered through the second lifting / lowering means, the bulge portion caused by the folding of the paper becomes substantially horizontal, and the influence on the next stacked paper can be reduced.
[0018]
In the sheet post-processing apparatus according to claim 5, the second detection means is arranged to detect the maximum portion of the bulge portion formed by folding the paper.
[0019]
According to the present invention, the second detecting means is arranged so as to detect the maximum position of the bulging portion formed by folding the paper, so that the lowering amount of the second stacking means can be reduced for each sheet. Therefore, it can be set with the optimum amount of movement (minimum), and misalignment such as buckling and extrusion is eliminated.
[0020]
In the sheet post-processing apparatus according to the sixth aspect, the second stacking unit has a tray function capable of stacking a plurality of sheets.
[0021]
According to the present invention, the second stacking unit is also used as a stackable stack tray for stacking sheets, so that no new stacking unit is required and a reduction in size is realized.
[0022]
In the sheet post-processing apparatus according to
[0023]
According to the present invention, by performing the above-described stacking and post-processing on a Z-folded sheet, it is possible to prevent alignment failure in the Z-folded sheet and to ensure stacking quality.
[0024]
In the sheet post-processing apparatus according to the eighth aspect, the first detection unit and the second detection unit perform sheet surface detection for each sheet.
[0025]
According to the present invention, the first detection means and the second detection means can detect the paper surface for each sheet by performing the paper surface detection for each sheet.
[0026]
In the sheet post-processing apparatus according to
[0027]
According to the present invention, the first stacking unit and / or the second stacking unit is determined only when at least one folded sheet is included in the sheet bundle of the first stacking unit and the second stacking unit. By lowering the position to the position, a paper discharge state due to the bending of the folded paper is avoided.
[0028]
In the sheet post-processing apparatus according to
[0029]
According to the present invention, the length of the first stacking unit in the sheet conveyance direction is set so as to be shorter than the single leaf portion other than the bag portion on which the folded sheets are stacked. The state is stable.
[0030]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Preferred embodiments of a sheet post-processing apparatus according to the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The present invention is not limited to this embodiment.
[0031]
The paper post-processing apparatus of the present invention folds a sheet received from an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine or a printer into a Z-shape and stacks it when the Z-folded paper overlaps (bag portion, bulge portion). ) Is stacked on a stack tray (second stacking means) that can be raised and lowered, and the remaining one sheet (1/4 of the paper length) is stacked on the bottom plate (first stacking means). According to the detection information, control is performed so that the uppermost sheet on the stack tray is lowered with respect to each sheet until the sheet becomes substantially flat. Furthermore, the contact state with the next sheet at the time of stacking is stabilized to improve the alignment accuracy. This will be specifically described below.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the paper post-processing apparatus according to the present invention (Claim 1), the overlapped portion (bag portion) of the folded paper is conveyed to the second stacking means, and the single leaf portion (for example, By transporting ¼) of the paper length to the first stacking unit that performs post-processing, post-processing such as alignment is performed on the first stacking unit in a state in which the resistance due to the swelling is reduced. Since it is possible to perform post-processing such as stable alignment on paper folded paper, the bag part is supported by the stack tray, making it less susceptible to thickness, so it has been folded Post-processing such as stapling can be performed in a state where a large number of sheets can be stacked as compared with the conventional one.
[0082]
Further, according to the sheet post-processing apparatus according to the present invention (Claim 2), the overlapped portion (bag portion) of the folded paper is stacked on the second stacking means that can be raised and lowered, and the remaining one sheet portion Is swollen on the first stacking means, and is lowered until the uppermost sheet of the second stacking means becomes flat with respect to each sheet of paper according to the paper surface information of the second detection means, so that the bulge is caused by folding the paper. Since it becomes possible to always stack the positions of the portions in a stable state, stable post-processing can be performed even on the paper after folding. Further, since the bag portion is supported by a stack tray that can be moved up and down, it is less affected by the thickness, so that post-processing such as stapling can be performed in a state where a large number of folded sheets are stacked.
[0083]
Further, according to the sheet post-processing apparatus of the present invention (Claim 3), the first stacking means is moved horizontally in the vertical direction in accordance with the sheet surface information of the first detecting means, and then carried in. Since the contact angle and contact area with the paper can be made constant regardless of the number of stacked sheets, the alignment accuracy is improved regardless of the number of stapled sheets after folding.
[0084]
According to the sheet post-processing apparatus of the present invention (Claim 4), the curved shape is substantially reduced by the bulge portion formed by folding the sheet on the second stacking unit according to the sheet surface position information of the second detecting unit. By lowering the sheet through the second lifting / lowering means so as to be flat, the bulge portion caused by the paper folding becomes substantially horizontal, and the influence on the next stacked paper can be reduced. The paper stacking quality is improved.
[0085]
According to the sheet post-processing apparatus of the present invention (Claim 5), the second detecting means is arranged so as to detect the maximum portion of the bulge portion formed by folding the paper, so that the second Since the lowering amount of the stacking means can be set with the optimum movement amount (minimum) for each sheet, alignment errors such as buckling and extrusion are eliminated, and the alignment accuracy on the sheet after folding is improved. improves.
[0086]
Further, according to the sheet post-processing apparatus according to the present invention (Claim 6), since the second stacking unit is also used as a stackable stack tray for stacking sheets, no new stacking unit is required. Further, it is possible to avoid an increase in size and cost of the apparatus by providing a new tray.
[0087]
Further, according to the sheet post-processing apparatus according to the present invention (Claim 7), since the above-described stacking and post-processing are performed on the Z-folded sheets, the occurrence of misalignment in the Z-folded sheets is prevented and the number of stacked sheets is ensured. And its stackability is improved.
[0088]
Further, according to the sheet post-processing apparatus according to the present invention (Claim 8), the first detection unit and the second detection unit perform sheet surface detection for each sheet, thereby obtaining the position information of the sheet surface. Since the information can be obtained for each sheet, the position information of the folded sheet is accurate, and as a result, the collision between sheets is avoided, a large number of sheets are stacked, and the stacking quality is improved.
[0089]
Further, according to the sheet post-processing apparatus according to the present invention (claim 9), the first stacking unit and the second stacking unit include the first stacking unit only when at least one folded sheet is included in the sheet stack. By lowering the stacking means and / or the second stacking means to a predetermined position, the sheet discharge state due to the bulge of the folded sheet is avoided, so that the next sheet is discharged and stacked in a flat state. Can do.
[0090]
Further, according to the sheet post-processing apparatus according to the present invention (Claim 10), the length of the first stacking unit in the sheet conveyance direction is made shorter than the single leaf portion other than the bag portion on which the folded sheets are stacked. Since it is set, the state of the paper during post-processing such as alignment can be stabilized.
