Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep and control a state of plant seedlings, by irradiating the seedlings stored in a low temperature condition with light having a specified color in a desired condition.
SOLUTION: In a technology using a light emitting diode as a light source unit, the unit scarcely generates heat, and therefore the seedlings are placed in areas near to the light source unit, so that a narrow space of a cold reserving chamber is effectively utilized. Further, the seedlings are exposed to the light with little unevenness, equally grown, and made to uniformly bloomed, by solving problems caused by conventional technologies.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a technique used in plant production such as agriculture and horticulture.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, it has been known that storage of plant seedlings under low-temperature conditions is more effective in maintaining the quality of seedlings by irradiating light with a fluorescent lamp than in dark conditions. However, 1) waste of energy occurs because the temperature in the cool box rises due to the heat generated from the fluorescent lamp, and 2) in order to avoid the influence of the heat generated from the fluorescent lamp on the seedling, It is necessary to keep a sufficient distance, and the space in the cool box is wasted. 3) There is a problem such as uneven light in the seedlings and poor seedling alignment, and a stable effect cannot be obtained. It was.
[0003]
[Means for solving the problems]-
【The invention's effect】
The light source using the LED according to the present invention is 1) hardly generates heat and does not raise the temperature in the cool box. 2) Since the seedling can be placed at a short distance from the light source, the space of the narrow cool box is reduced. 3) By arranging the LEDs evenly, the light that hits the seedlings will not be uneven and the seedlings will be evenly aligned. The conventional problems such as can be solved.
