TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a control device for a variable-cylinder engine that suspends the operation of some of the cylinders according to the engine operating state, and in particular, performs exhaust treatment using so-called post-injection, which is an additional injection in an expansion stroke after main injection. The present invention relates to a variable-cylinder engine control device that performs the control.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art In general, a variable cylinder engine is known in which the operation of some of the cylinders is stopped during a partial load of the engine to reduce the number of operating cylinders, thereby improving the fuel consumption rate of the entire engine. Further, there is also known an engine in which the fuel injection pressure is increased in accordance with an increase in the load of the engine and the spray is atomized, thereby reducing the generation of smoke when the engine is under a high load.
[0003]
On the other hand, when a filter for collecting particulates in the exhaust gas is provided in the exhaust passage of the engine, a catalyst is carried on the filter so that NOx can be purified at the time of regeneration of the filter. For example,

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Meanwhile, in the above-described variable cylinder engine in which the fuel injection pressure is increased in accordance with an increase in the engine load, a technology for controlling the injection amount of post-injection by a fuel injection valve, such as an exhaust gas purification device described in
[0006]
In view of the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a variable cylinder engine in which the fuel injection pressure is increased in accordance with an increase in engine load. An object of the present invention is to provide a control device for a cylinder engine and a control device for a variable cylinder engine that can appropriately control a post-injection amount and can appropriately operate an exhaust treatment device.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A control device for a variable cylinder engine according to one embodiment of the present invention that achieves the above object has a plurality of cylinders, and a fuel injection valve that injects fuel into each of the cylinders. Control of the fuel injection pressure by changing the number of operating cylinders in a variable cylinder engine that performs fuel injection from the fuel injection valve by changing the fuel injection pressure according to the load per cylinder of the operating cylinder. The fuel pressure control means is provided.
[0008]
According to this configuration, since the fuel injection pressure can be controlled by simply changing the number of operating cylinders, the required fuel injection pressure can be changed with a simple configuration.
[0009]
A control device for a variable cylinder engine according to another embodiment of the present invention that achieves the above object includes a plurality of cylinders, a fuel injection valve that injects fuel into each of the cylinders, and an exhaust purification device provided in an exhaust system. Controlling the number of operating cylinders in accordance with the operating state, and increasing the fuel injection pressure as the load per cylinder of the operating cylinders increases, injecting fuel from the fuel injection valve, and performing the fuel injection. A control device for a variable cylinder engine that adds fuel to the exhaust gas purifying device by performing post-injection by a valve, a fuel pressure detection unit that detects the fuel injection pressure, and a case where post-injection needs to be performed during reduced cylinder operation. When the fuel injection pressure detected by the fuel pressure detecting means is equal to or higher than a predetermined pressure, the number of operating cylinders is controlled to be increased.
[0010]
According to this configuration, when post-injection needs to be performed during the reduced-cylinder operation, if the fuel injection pressure is equal to or higher than the predetermined pressure, control is performed so as to increase the number of operating cylinders, so that the fuel injection pressure is reduced. Therefore, an allowable post-injection amount that can be stably injected can be obtained with this fuel injection pressure, and a required amount of post-injection can be performed.
[0011]
Here, it is preferable that the predetermined pressure is determined according to a post injection amount.
[0012]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of a control device for a variable cylinder engine according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

The control routine necessary for controlling the
[0027]
The RAM stores an output signal of each sensor, a calculation result of the CPU, and the like. The calculation result is, for example, the engine speed calculated based on the output signal of the crank position sensor. Various data stored in the RAM is rewritten to the latest data every time the crank position sensor outputs a signal. The backup RAM is a non-volatile memory that retains data even after the operation of the
[0028]
Here, an example of the control routine of the embodiment having the above-described configuration in the control device for a variable cylinder engine according to the present invention will be described based on the flowchart of FIG. Note that this control routine is a routine that is repeatedly executed each time the crank position sensor outputs a pulse signal.
[0029]
When the control is started, first, in step S21, it is determined whether there is a post-processing regeneration request, that is, whether there is a processing request in the
[0030]
On the other hand, if it is determined in step S21 that there is a request, the process proceeds to step S23, in which it is determined whether the
[0031]
Here, when the temperature is lower than the activation temperature, the process proceeds to step S24, in which the cylinder number control for determining the cylinder reduction condition is performed with priority given to raising the exhaust gas temperature. That is, in order to increase the exhaust gas temperature, the reduced cylinder operation is performed to increase the relative load of the working cylinder. However, when the stability of the engine is impaired due to the shift to the reduced-cylinder operation, the shift to the reduced-cylinder operation is not immediately performed, and the next opportunity is waited for. This is because, when the operating state of the
[0032]
When it is determined in step S23 that the temperature is equal to or higher than the activation temperature, the processing shifts to NOx reduction, SOx release and / or PM regeneration processing control in the
[0033]
This will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 3A is an injection pressure map showing how the injection pressure Pc changes according to the operating state of the engine, with the horizontal axis representing the engine speed and the vertical axis representing the load (injection amount). . FIG. 3B shows the injection valve driving pulse time TQ (ms) on the horizontal axis and the injection amount Q (mm) on the vertical axis. 3 / St) is a graph showing the relationship between the injection valve driving pulse time length and the injection amount corresponding to the change in the injection pressure Pc. Here, it can be seen from FIG. 3A that, as described above, for example, when the load per cylinder increases due to the reduced number of cylinders, the injection pressure Pc increases. Further, from FIG. 3B, when the injection pressure Pc increases, the injection amount sensitivity to the injection valve driving pulse time increases, and the injection amount sensitivity becomes small (0 to 10 mm) like the post injection amount. 3 In the case of (/ st), it can be understood that the injection amount Q greatly fluctuates even with a small control error.
[0034]
Therefore, returning to the flowchart of FIG. 2, when the fuel injection pressure Pc exceeds the maximum allowable post-injection pressure Pcpostmax in the determination in step S25, the process proceeds to step S26, in which it is determined whether or not there is any cylinder currently inactive. Is determined. In the case of NO, that is, when the all-cylinder operation is being performed, the routine ends because there is no room for reducing the injection pressure. If YES in step S26, that is, if there is a cylinder at rest, the process proceeds to step S27 to reduce the number of the cylinders at rest. In other words, the number of working cylinders is increased. Then, as a result of reducing the load per operating cylinder, the injection pressure Pc is reduced as described above.
[0035]
When it is determined in step S25 that the fuel injection pressure is equal to or less than the maximum allowable post injection pressure Pcpostmax, and after the injection pressure is reduced in step S27, the process proceeds to step S28, and post injection is started.
[0036]
It is preferable that the fuel injection amount supplied by the post-injection not be excessive in consideration of the effect of the dilution effect on the engine oil by the unvaporized liquid fuel adhering to the cylinder wall surface. From this viewpoint, in the present embodiment, the post-injection amount is a constant amount that avoids this excessive amount.
[0037]
Next, another embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the previous embodiment, the post-injection amount was made to be constant, whereas in the other embodiments, the effect of the dilution effect on the engine oil fluctuated according to the in-cylinder temperature. The post injection amount is changed. Generally, when the load is high, the main injection amount is large, the combustion amount is large, and the in-cylinder temperature is also high.
[0038]
The post-injection amount, like the main injection amount, is obtained in advance by experiment in association with the operating state of the engine, is stored in the form of a map in the form of a map, and is detected by the
[0039]
Here, the relationship between the post injection amount and the dilution of the engine oil will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 4 shows a main injection amount (mm) corresponding to the engine load. 3 / St) is plotted on the vertical axis, and the post-injection end timing (frequency after top dead center) is plotted on the horizontal axis, and the main injection amount and the dilution allowable post-injection amount Qpostoil as a post-injection amount that does not affect oil dilution are calculated. It is a graph which shows a relationship. In this graph, the area A is the allowable post injection amount = 5 mm 3 / St, area B including area A is allowable post injection amount = 2.5 mm 3 / St area is shown. From this graph, it can be seen that the dilution-allowed post-injection amount increases as the main injection amount increases, in other words, as the engine load increases. That is, for example, when the post injection ends at 60 degrees after the top dead center, the main injection amount = 10 mm 3 / St: dilution allowable post injection amount = 2.5 mm 3 / St, main injection amount = about 17 mm 3 / St: dilution allowable post injection amount = 5 mm 3 / St.
[0040]
Therefore, an example of control according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the flowchart in FIG. The control routine of the present embodiment is the same as the control routine of the previous embodiment shown in FIG. 2 in the former stage, that is, the same from step S21 to S24. Therefore, the flowchart of FIG. 5 shows the case of YES in step S23 of FIG. 2 as step S51.
[0041]
When the process shifts to NOx reduction or SOx release and / or PM regeneration processing control in the
[0042]
On the other hand, if the determination in step S51 is NO, that is, if the target post injection amount is larger than the permissible post injection amount Qpostpc, the process proceeds to step S53, and if the number of cylinders is reduced, this target post injection amount is equal to or less than the dilution permissible post injection amount Qpostoil. Is determined. This is because, as described above, when the operation shifts to the reduced cylinder operation, the load per working cylinder increases and the main injection amount increases, and as a result, the dilution allowable post injection amount Qpostoil increases. Therefore, by reducing the number of cylinders, it is possible to increase the post injection amount per cylinder without changing the total post injection amount in one cycle. The amount may be Qpostpc. However, the post injection amount is required to be equal to or less than the dilution allowable post injection amount Qpostoil.
[0043]
If the determination in step S53 is YES, that is, if the number of cylinders is reduced, and the target post injection amount is equal to or less than the dilution allowable post injection amount Qpostoil, the process proceeds to step S57 and shifts to reduced cylinder operation. However, in this case, the total post injection amount in one cycle (two rotations of the crankshaft) is made equal before and after the transition. This will be described with reference to FIG. 6. Now, the total target post injection amount required by the
[0044]
If the determination in step S53 is NO, that is, if the target post-injection amount does not become equal to or less than the dilution allowable post-injection amount Qpostoil even when the number of cylinders is reduced, the process proceeds to step S54, and the target post-injection amount satisfies the condition. And shift to reduced cylinder operation. This is because when the temperature representing the temperature of the exhaust
[0045]
Further, if the determination in step S52 is NO, that is, if the target post-injection amount is greater than the dilution allowable post-injection amount Qpostoil, the process proceeds to step S55, and it is determined whether or not there is a cylinder whose deactivation can be stopped. This is because by stopping the deactivated cylinders, that is, by making the deactivated cylinders active cylinders, it is possible to reduce the post injection amount per activated cylinder. Therefore, if the determination in step S52 is YES, the process proceeds to step S56, in which the deactivated cylinder is stopped, that is, the operation shifts to the all-cylinder operation, and the process returns to step S51.
[0046]
If the determination in step S55 is NO, that is, if there is no cylinder that can be stopped, the process proceeds to step S58, and the target post-injection amount is decreased until the target post-injection amount becomes smaller than the dilution allowable post-injection amount Qpostoil. Let it. After step S58, the process also proceeds to step S59, and post-injection is performed at a predetermined time with the target post-injection amount lowered until the target post-injection amount reaches a value satisfying the condition.
[0047]
Next, still another embodiment of the present invention will be described. This embodiment is a preferred embodiment when the present invention is applied to a variable cylinder engine provided with an EGR device. In general, the EGR passage in the EGR device is not branched from a collection portion of the exhaust manifold through which the exhaust gas flows equally, and is biased with respect to all the cylinders in consideration of design requirements such as an arrangement length. Branch from the position In the present embodiment as an example, as shown in FIG. 1, the
[0048]
Thus, an example of control according to still another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the flowchart in FIG. The control routine of the present embodiment is the same as the control routine of the embodiment shown in FIG. 2 in the former stage, that is, the same as steps S21 to S24. Therefore, the flowchart of FIG. 7 shows the case of YES in step S23 of FIG. 2 as step S71.
[0049]
When the process shifts to NOx reduction and / or SOx release and / or PM regeneration process control in the
[0050]
On the other hand, if the result of determination in step S71 is NO that the contribution ratio exceeds the predetermined value X%, the flow proceeds to step S72, and it is determined whether or not there is a cylinder that is at rest. Then, if the determination in step S72 is YES, that is, if there is a cylinder that is inactive, the process proceeds to step S73, and the inactive cylinder is replaced. That is, the cylinder in which the post-injection should have been performed is set as the idle cylinder, and the cylinder whose contribution ratio is equal to or less than the predetermined value X% is set as the operating cylinder. In the case of the present embodiment, for example, if the reduced-cylinder operation is performed in the # 1 and # 4 cylinders, the reduced-cylinder operation in # 1 and # 2 far from the branch position of the

If the determination in step S72 is NO, that is, if there is no cylinder at rest, the process proceeds to step S74, in which the EGR is cut to prevent the

In the above-described embodiment, the fuel injection pressure is detected by the
[0053]
Also, as an embodiment of the present invention, the case where the fuel pressure becomes too high to control the post injection amount has been described. However, when the fuel pressure needs to be changed in addition to this embodiment, the number of operating cylinders may be reduced. Can be changed to control the fuel pressure.
