Abstract
Description
【0001】

As with the single-core optical connector, in the two-core optical connector, a plurality of types of optical connectors, such as MU type, LC type, and SC type, which are applied to the same type of optical fiber, have been put to practical use. The two-core optical connectors of these different types have different structures, sizes, shapes, pitches between the optical fibers, etc., of the plugs that hold the ends of the two optical fibers, so a dedicated plug and a connector body are used respectively. Have been.
[0004]
For example, since the pitch between optical fibers is 4.5 mm or 7.5 mm in the MU type optical connector and the pitch between optical fibers is 6.25 mm in the LC type optical connector, the MU type plug is attached to the LC type optical connector. It could not be mounted in the hole, and the LC plug could not be mounted in the plug mounting hole of the MU optical connector.
Therefore, for example, in order to optically connect the MU-type plug and the LC-type plug, a MU-type optical connector, a jumper having MU-type plugs and LC-type plugs at both ends, and an LC-type optical connector are used. The MU-type plug is connected to the MU-type optical connector, the MU-type optical connector is connected to the MU-type plug at one end of the jumper, and the LC-type plug at the other end of the jumper is connected to the LC-type optical connector. A mating LC type plug had to be connected to the type optical connector.
