Abstract
Description

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a sheet-like member actuator for deforming a sheet-like member and a method for manufacturing the same, and can be used, for example, for paper food containers and toys.
[0002]
[Background Art]
In recent years, many types of actuators based on new principles have been developed. Examples include microactuators, flexible microactuators, actuators using piezoelectric elements, giant magnetostrictive actuators, thermal actuators, shape memory alloy actuators, ultrasonic actuators, polymer actuators, optical actuators, laser light actuators, ion drag actuators, and the like. Can be
[0003]
Among them, as the polymer actuator, two types of technologies, an ion conduction actuator and a conductive polymer actuator, have been developed (see Non-Patent Document 1). The ion-conducting actuator is a flexible actuator element made of a polymer and a metal material, and can move quickly with a low voltage of about 2 volts, thereby realizing a biomimetic movement, a robot hand, and the like. Conductive polymer actuators utilize the property of expanding and contracting when a current is applied to a conductive polymer.Since they generate a large force and are lightweight, they are expected to be applied as actuators that replace conventional electric motors. I have.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, the various actuators described above are applied to various uses such as toys, arts, power sources such as robot fingers and arms, and medical devices. In this case, as long as the object to be moved by the actuator is a product or a product, regardless of which actuator is used, the desired movement as the object is achieved, the manufacturing cost is reduced, the structure is simplified, and the weight is reduced. Etc. becomes a problem. In other words, when making a moving product or product, it is necessary to select an actuator that can achieve a manufacturing cost, a structure, a weight, or the like that is appropriate for the purpose of the product or product. For example, in the case of toys, the production cost is usually controlled so that the parent can easily contribute to the child, and the structure and weight of the toy can be easily and safely handled by the child. It needs to be finished into a product.
[0006]
However, the various actuators described above are not necessarily sufficient from the viewpoint of providing a lighter product or product with a simpler structure and a lower price. For example, if the above-mentioned polymer actuator is used, it is possible to provide a product or the like that mimics the movement of a living thing, but it is necessary to secure a power supply because the movement is electrically controlled, which complicates the structure and costs. In view of this, there is a problem that it is not necessarily suitable for use in products such as simple toys and art that can be easily obtained.
[0007]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a sheet-like member actuator which can be deformed at a low cost with a lightweight and simple structure, and a method of manufacturing the same.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the actuator for a sheet-shaped member according to the present invention, a groove is formed along a folding position on at least one of the front and back surfaces of the sheet-shaped member, and a change in an external environment or a physical or chemical stimulus received from the outside. The expansion material or the contraction material that expands and contracts in response to the above is inserted into the inside of the groove.
[0009]
Here, the “sheet-like member” includes, for example, various materials such as paper, resin, wood, rubber, and glass. In short, the “sheet-like member” has a certain degree of hardness and a certain shape (plane shape). ) Can be used as long as the material can hold). Further, it is not always necessary to be flat, and it may be curved. The same applies to the following inventions.
[0010]
Further, the “folding position” may be a position where a fold is to be formed from now on, or a fold position where the fold has already been folded. Therefore, the sheet-shaped member actuator of the present invention is in a flat state where it is not folded (however, the “flat state” here means that it is not a corner, and a state where curved surfaces are smoothly continuous with each other. ), A sheet member that is already folded is deformed in a direction to return it to a flat state, and a sheet member that is already folded is separated. (Including a case where the angle is increased and a case where the angle is decreased) are included. The same applies to the following inventions.
[0011]
Further, the “change in the external environment” includes, for example, changes in temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, water temperature, water pressure, concentrations of various substances in the air and liquid, and the like. The “physical stimulus received from the outside” includes, for example, stimulus due to electricity, magnetism, light, heat, sound, radiation, pressure, or the like. Reacting to the "chemical stimulus received from the outside" includes, for example, causing a chemical change by reacting with a chemical substance. The same applies to the following inventions.
[0012]
The “insertion into the groove” includes, for example, performing printing, coating, sticking, baking, spraying, welding, fusing, bonding, and the like.
[0013]
In such a sheet-shaped member actuator of the present invention, the environment around the sheet-shaped member, that is, the environment around the inflatable material or the shrinkable material changes, or the expandable material or the shrinkable material is physically changed from the outside. When a stimulus or chemical stimulus is applied, the expandable material inserted inside the groove expands or contracts, so that the groove is expanded or narrowed to change the cross-sectional shape of the groove. Along with this, the sheet-like member also deforms with the groove forming position as a fold.
[0014]
For this reason, a sheet-shaped member actuator that deforms the sheet-shaped member is realized with a simple structure in which a groove is formed in the sheet-shaped member and an inflating material or a contracting material is simply inserted.
[0015]
Also, unlike the polymer actuator described above, there is no need to secure a power supply for controlling the movement, which simplifies the structure in this respect and makes it possible to produce a deformable sheet member at low cost. It becomes.
[0016]
Furthermore, since the groove formed in the sheet-like member is a combination of the expansion material or the contraction material, the actuator itself is lightweight, and the sheet-like member to be moved can also be made of, for example, paper. It is possible to realize a lightweight product or product, which achieves the above-mentioned object.
[0017]
Note that the amount of deformation (bending angle) of the sheet-like member at the location where one groove is formed can be adjusted by the size of the groove or the amount of expansion material or contraction material inserted.
[0018]
Further, in the above-described sheet-shaped member actuator, an expanding material is inserted into a groove formed on one surface of the front and back surfaces of the sheet-shaped member, and is inserted into a groove formed on the other surface. It is preferable that the grooves into which the contraction material is inserted and the expansion material and the contraction material are respectively inserted are arranged close to each other.
[0019]
If the expansion material and the contraction material are provided on the opposite sides of the front and back surfaces of the sheet member in this manner, the amount of deformation of the sheet member can be increased.
[0020]
Furthermore, in the above-described sheet-shaped member actuator, it is preferable that the cross-sectional shape of the groove is a shape including a substantially V-shaped portion.
[0021]
Here, the “shape including a substantially V-shaped portion” is not limited to a shape having only a substantially V-shaped portion, but, for example, a lid that covers at least a part of an opening portion of a groove in addition to the substantially V-shaped portion. A portion (for example, in the case of FIG. 14 described later) may be provided, or a substantially V-shaped portion may be combined to form a substantially W-shaped portion. In short, at least one substantially V-shaped portion is provided. It is only necessary to include it. Since the groove is “substantially” V-shaped, for example, the bottom of the groove (the intersection of the V-shape) may be a flat surface or a rounded surface, or the side portions (V (A slope portion of a letter) may be stepped.
[0022]
When the cross-sectional shape of the groove is formed to include a substantially V-shaped portion in this manner, a force generated by expansion of the inflatable material or contraction of the shrinkable material is applied to the side portions (the V-shaped slope portions) on both sides of the groove. Since it acts in a direction of increasing or decreasing the angle of the V-shape, smooth deformation of the sheet-like member is realized.
[0023]
In the above-described sheet-shaped member actuator, it is preferable that a heating sheet that generates heat by microwave heating is attached to a surface opposite to the surface on which the groove is formed.
[0024]
Here, the “heating sheet that generates heat by microwave heating” is, for example, a metal foil having a large electric resistance, a sheet containing moisture, or the like.
[0025]
In the case where a heat generating sheet that generates heat by microwave heating is provided on the surface opposite to the surface on which the groove is formed in this way, heat of the heat generating sheet heated by, for example, a microwave oven is inserted into the groove. As a result, the expansion action of the expansion material or the contraction action of the contraction material is promoted, and the deformation of the sheet-like member is promoted.
[0026]
Further, in the actuator of the sheet-shaped member of the present invention, a shrinkable material that contracts in response to a change in the external environment or a physical or chemical stimulus received from the outside along the folding position is attached to the surface of the sheet-shaped member. A cavity is formed at a portion of the sheet-shaped member to which the shrinkable material is attached, and the cavity is arranged at a position near a surface where the shrinkable material is attached in the sheet thickness direction. is there.
[0027]
Here, the term “attachment” includes, for example, printing, coating, sticking, baking, spraying, welding, fusing, bonding, and the like.
[0028]
Further, the “hollow portion” is formed by, for example, making a cut as described later and pulling the sheet-like member before the shrinkable material hardens (for example, in the case of FIGS. 6 and 13 described later). Etc.), formed by attaching the shrinkable material in a state where the sheet-like member having the groove formed therein is bent and then returning the sheet-like member to a flat state before the shrinkage material solidifies (for example, FIG. Case), a material formed by embedding a substance whose volume decreases when dried into a sheet-like member, and the like formed by laser irradiation (for example, the case of FIG. 11 described below). The method is optional.
[0029]
In such a sheet-shaped member actuator of the present invention, the environment around the sheet-shaped member, that is, the environment around the shrinkable material changes, or a physical or chemical stimulus is applied to the shrinkable material from outside. When added, the shrinkable material attached to the surface of the sheet-like member shrinks, the portions of the sheet-like member located on both sides of the cavity are drawn together, the volume of the cavity is reduced, and the cross-sectional shape of the cavity is reduced. Changes. Along with this, the sheet-like member is also deformed with the formation position of the hollow portion as a fold.
[0030]
For this reason, as in the case where the shrinkable material is inserted into the above-described groove, a sheet-shaped member actuator that deforms the sheet-shaped member is realized with a simple structure, and a lightweight product using the deformable sheet-shaped member is realized. And products can be manufactured inexpensively, thereby achieving the above object.
[0031]
In the above-described actuator of the sheet-like member, the material of the sheet-like member, the expansion material, and the contraction material are arbitrary. However, from the viewpoints of easy handling, light weight, easy manufacturing, cost reduction, and the like. From this, it is preferable that the sheet-shaped member is paper and the expanding material is foamed ink, and it is preferable that the sheet-shaped member is paper and the shrinking material is heat-shrinkable ink.
[0032]
Here, “foamed ink” is ink that foams and expands three-dimensionally when heat is applied. “Heat-shrinkable ink” is ink that shrinks when heat is applied.
[0033]
The present invention also relates to a method of manufacturing the above-described sheet-like member actuator (in the case where a hollow portion is provided in the sheet-like member in the vicinity of a portion where the shrinkable material is attached), wherein the sheet-like member is cut along the folding position from the surface of the sheet-like member After making a cut of a depth that does not penetrate the sheet-like member, the shrinkable material is attached to the upper side of the cut, and then the sheet-like member is moved along the sheet surface before the attached shrinkable material hardens. The cavity is formed by expanding the cut by pulling in the direction.
[0034]
In the method of manufacturing an actuator for a sheet-like member according to the present invention, it is possible to easily form the cavity simply by making a cut and attaching the shrinkable material and then pulling the sheet-like member. . For this reason, for example, it becomes possible to realize the actuator of the sheet-like member at low cost as compared with the case where the cavity is formed by laser irradiation.
[0035]
Further, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing the above-mentioned actuator for a sheet-like member (in the case where a hollow portion is provided in a sheet-like member near a site where a shrinkable material is attached), wherein a groove is formed on the surface of the sheet-like member along a folding position. After forming the sheet-like member, the groove is narrowed by bending the sheet-like member at the location where the groove is formed, and then the contraction material is adhered in a state of closing the groove near the opening position of the groove in the narrowed state, and then, It is characterized in that a cavity is formed inside the groove by returning the sheet-like member to a flat state and expanding the groove before the contracted material is hardened.
[0036]
Here, “after bending to make the groove narrowed” includes both of bending to a state where the groove is completely closed and bending of the groove to a state where a gap remains.
[0037]
In such a method of manufacturing the actuator of the sheet-like member of the present invention, a groove is formed, the sheet-like member is bent to narrow the groove, a contraction material is attached, and the sheet-like member is again placed in a flat state. By simply returning to, the cavity can be easily formed. For this reason, for example, it becomes possible to realize the actuator of the sheet-like member at low cost as compared with the case where the cavity is formed by laser irradiation.

When a plurality of actuators of the present invention are arranged side by side, it is not necessary to arrange all the actuators so that the sheet-like members bend in the same direction as in the case of the third embodiment (see FIG. 5). For example, by arranging grooves in which an inflating material is inserted in a zigzag manner on the front and back surfaces of the sheet-like member when viewed in cross section, the sheet-like member can be deformed into a snake-like cross-sectional shape, or the cutting edge of a saw blade can be used. Further, in each of the above embodiments, the use of the sheet member is not particularly described, but the use of the deformable sheet member realized by the actuator of the present invention is arbitrary. For example, a food container such as a lunch box may be used.In this case, when the container containing the food in a box shape at normal temperature is heated together with the food using a microwave oven or the like, the food contained therein is removed. When the sheet is heated, the heat is transmitted to the expansion material or the contraction material, and the box-shaped sheet-shaped member is opened and deformed into a dish shape.

In addition, the planar arrangement of the actuator of the sheet-like member of the present invention (the arrangement when viewed from the surface along the sheet-like member) is a linear arrangement (for example, the arrangement shown in FIG. 16). 【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, a groove or a cavity is formed in a sheet-like member, and an inflatable material or an inflatable material that expands in response to a change in the external environment or a physical or chemical stimulus received from the outside. Inserting the shrinkable material into the groove or attaching the shrinkable material to the surface of the sheet-like member near the position where the cavity is formed, realizes deformation of the sheet-like member with a lightweight and simple structure and at low cost. There is an effect that can be.
