Abstract
【解決手段】 蛍光体層(16)は、ランプのガラスエンベロープ(12)の内表面上に水性蛍光体スラリーを被覆し、次にスラリー中の非蛍光体成分を蒸発又は分解させるようにガラス焼きなまし炉内でベーキングして、後に最終的な蛍光体層を残留させることによって形成される。蛍光体スラリーは、好ましくはポリエチレン酸化物のような非イオン化増粘剤を含むが、炭酸カルシウム又は炭酸塩類は何ら含まない。蛍光体層(16)は、イットリア系赤色発光希土類蛍光体を含む。

Claims (10)
- 内表面を有する透光性エンベロープ(12)と、
放電を行うための手段と、
前記エンベロープ(12)の内表面に隣接して配置された蛍光体層(16)と、
前記エンベロープ(12)の内部に密封された水銀及び不活性ガスの封入ガス(22)と、を含み、
前記蛍光体層(16)が、イットリア系赤色発光希土類蛍光体を含み、
前記蛍光体層(16)が、800℃の温度で原子状又は分子状酸素を生成するように不安定であるか又は不安定になる酸素含有種を実質的に含まない、
蛍光ランプ(10)。 - 前記蛍光体層(16)が、850℃の温度で原子状又は分子状酸素を生成するように不安定であるか又は不安定になる酸素含有種を実質的に含まない、請求項1記載の蛍光ランプ(10)。
- 少なくとも97.8%の1000LPW維持能力を有する、請求項1記載の蛍光ランプ(10)。
- 少なくとも92.5%の8000LPW維持能力を有する、請求項1記載の蛍光ランプ(10)。
- 前記蛍光体層(16)が実質的に炭酸カルシウムを含まない、請求項1記載の蛍光ランプ(10)。
- 前記蛍光体層(16)が実質的に炭酸塩類を含まない、請求項1記載の蛍光ランプ(10)。
- 前記赤色発光希土類蛍光体が、(Eu3+)活性形酸化イットリウムを含む、請求項1記載の蛍光ランプ(10)。
- 内表面を有する透光性エンベロープ(12)と、
放電を行うための手段と、
前記エンベロープ(12)の内表面に隣接して配置された蛍光体層(16)と、
前記エンベロープ(12)の内部に密封された水銀及び不活性ガスの封入ガス(22)と、を含み、
前記蛍光体層(16)が、イットリア系赤色発光希土類蛍光体を含む、
蛍光ランプ(10)であって、前記蛍光ランプ(10)が、
a)前記イットリア系赤色発光希土類蛍光体を含む複数の蛍光体を選択し、該複数の蛍光体を乾燥固体重量基準で混合して固体蛍光体混合物を形成するステップと、
b)前記固体蛍光体混合物を多量の水及び実質的に炭酸塩類を含まない多量の非イオン化増粘剤と混合して、水性蛍光体スラリーを形成するステップと、
c)前記エンベロープ(12)の内表面又は介在バリヤ層を前記水性蛍光体スラリーで被覆して、該内表面又は介在バリヤ層上に蛍光体スラリー皮膜を形成するステップと、
d)前記スラリーの非蛍光体成分を蒸発又は分解させて、後に蛍光体を残留させるように前記被覆したエンベロープをベーキングして、前記蛍光体層(16)を形成するステップと、
を含む方法によって製作される蛍光ランプ(10)。 - 前記非イオン化増粘剤がポリエチレン酸化物である、請求項8記載の蛍光ランプ(10)。
- 前記ベーキングするステップが、約600℃で行われる、請求項8記載の蛍光ランプ(10)。
