Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a decorative body engraved on a side surface of a pneumatic tire.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a decorative body has been formed by carving a number of fine grooves called ridges on the side surface of a tire, and a mark or the like is displayed on the decorative body. For example, a ridge is engraved only in an area to be a mark, and the mark is displayed by utilizing the fact that the degree of light reflection is different from that of a background having no ridge.
[0003]
Alternatively, a mark is formed by engraving a ridge in an area serving as a mark (mark area) and an area serving as a background (background area), and making the intervals and / or directions of the ridges different in both areas to give a difference in contrast. Had improved visibility. For example, there is a pneumatic tire disclosed in Patent Literature 1 having a decorative body on a tire side surface.
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-8-282215 (pages 1 to 3, FIGS. 1 to 5).
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In such a conventional pneumatic tire, the interval and direction of the ridges are not changed in the mark area and the background area, so that they can be visually recognized uniformly. Therefore, the visibility of the mark may be reduced depending on the viewing angle.
[0006]
Since the side surface of the tire is easily visible when the tire is mounted on the vehicle, the decorative article has been used to appeal one's own product. However, since the ridges are uniformly formed in the mark area and the background area, the mark is also visually recognized uniformly and lacks an impact on the consumer. Therefore, there has been a demand for a new visual effect on the decorative body on the side of the tire to increase the purchase motivation.
[0007]
In addition, in the vulcanization molding, since air enters between the tire and the tire in the portion where the ridge is formed and manufacturing defects easily occur, a large number of vent holes must be provided in the mold. The cost of processing was high. Further, even after molding, a large number of bent spews are generated, which deteriorates the appearance and visibility of the decorative body.
[0008]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a decorative body engraved on the side surface of a tire with a visual effect that has not been seen before, and to prevent air from entering during vulcanization molding.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies to solve the above-mentioned problems, the invention according to claim 1 provides a pneumatic tire in which a ridge is carved on the tire side surface,
A first ridge extending in a first direction with respect to the tire meridian, and a second ridge extending in a second direction different from the first direction with respect to the tire meridian and displaying a mark,
The pneumatic tire is characterized in that the first ridge and the second ridge intersect.
[0010]
For example, the first ridge is a ridge engraved in an annular area on the side surface of the tire, and a second ridge for displaying a mark is located in a mark area where the mark is desired to be displayed in a direction different from the first ridge so as to intersect the first ridge. The ridge is extended and carved. In the mark area where the first ridge and the second ridge are engraved, the two ridges extend in different directions and intersect with each other. Therefore, the background area where only the first ridge is engraved and the degree of light reflection are different. Are different. As a result, the mark area is visually recognized, and a portion where both ridges are dense and a portion where both ridges are sparse are formed.
[0011]
The invention according to claim 2 is the pneumatic tire according to claim 1, wherein an intersection angle between the first direction and the second direction is 1 degree to 10 degrees.
[0012]
The intersection angle may be any, but is preferably 1 degree to 10 degrees. When the angle is within the range, the density of the ridge appears periodically, and the mark becomes dark and light according to the density, and a new visual effect is generated.
[0013]
The invention according to claim 3 is the pneumatic tire according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the ridge line of the first ridge and the ridge line of the second ridge are substantially on the same plane.
[0014]
If the ridge lines of the first ridge and the second ridge are on the same plane, the depths of the grooves of the mold forming the ridge become substantially equal. As a result, at the time of vulcanization molding, the flow of air in the mold is made uniform, and a ridge can be formed without accumulation of air.
[0015]
The invention according to claim 4 is the pneumatic tire according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein a ridge interval between the first ridges and a ridge interval between the second ridges is 0.5 mm to 2.0 mm. .
[0016]
In particular, it is preferable that the ridge interval between the first ridge and the ridge line between the second ridge is 0.5 mm to 2.0 mm. When the interval between the ridge lines is less than 0.5 mm, the interval between the ridge lines is small, so that the density of the ridge does not become apparent and the shading of the mark does not appear clearly. Further, even if the ridge line interval exceeds 2.0 mm, the number of ridges to be carved is relatively reduced, so that shading of the mark does not appear.
[0017]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of a pneumatic tire according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing a ridge carved on a tire side surface according to the present invention. In FIG. 1A, a first ridge R1 is a ridge formed in a substantially annular shape on the surface of the tire side surface S, and a part thereof is shown. The direction D1 in which the first ridge R1 extends is the same direction as the tire meridian M. The second ridge R2 for displaying a mark is engraved so as to show a letter "T" as the mark, and extends in a direction D2 different from D1.
[0018]
Since the first ridge R1 and the second ridge R2 are carved so as to intersect at an intersection angle θ, a decorative body is formed with the first ridge R1 as a background region and the second ridge R2 as a mark region. Chapters are visible. Moreover, in the mark area, the places where the ridge lines of the first ridge R1 and the second ridge R2 are dense and the places where the ridge lines are sparse appear periodically, appear in the mark in dark and light, and are visually recognized. There was no visual effect.
[0019]
1B and 1C, the distance between the ridge lines of the first ridge R1 and the second ridge R2 is d, and d is 0.5 mm to 2 mm. 0.0 mm is preferred. By making the heights h of the ridges equal so that the ridge lines of both the ridges R1 and R2 are on the same plane, the depths of the grooves of the mold forming the ridges are also substantially equal. As a result, at the time of vulcanization molding, the flow of air in the mold is made uniform, and a ridge can be formed without accumulation of air.
[0020]
Note that the first ridge R1 may not be carved in a ring shape, or may be carved in a part of the ring shape, in short, as long as it is a background region. Further, the direction D1 to be carved may not be the same as the tire meridian M, and may be carved at any angle (0 to 90 degrees). The second ridge R2 only needs to extend in the direction D2 different from D1 and be cut across the first ridge R1, and the crossing angle is preferably 1 to 10 degrees. Further, in the present invention, the mark is not limited to characters, figures, symbols, and the like, but includes, for example, a pattern such as a striped pattern or a checkered pattern, and similarly, the above-described visual effect is generated.
[0021]
【Example】
A pneumatic tire provided with a ridge according to the present invention was manufactured as an example, and a conventional pneumatic tire provided with a ridge was manufactured as a comparative example. The ridge according to the example is the ridge shown in FIG. 1 and the dimensions are shown in Table 1. As shown in FIG. 2, the ridge according to the comparative example is carved without intersecting a first ridge R1 serving as a background region and a second ridge R2 serving as a mark region, and the height of each ridge is as shown in Table 1. It is.
[0022]
The evaluation items and results are as shown in Table 1. In Table 1, “air-filled” indicates the reciprocal of the number of tires having poor air-filling out of 100 tires prototyped with molds having the same number of vent holes. The number of vent holes indicates the reciprocal of the number of vent holes when a vent hole is added to the mold until there is no defective air entry. The visibility is a value obtained by sensory evaluation of the visibility of the mark. Each is represented by an index with the comparative example being 100, and the larger the number, the higher the evaluation.
[0023]
[Table 1]
Figure 2004338655
[0024]
According to the results shown in Table 1, in the examples, it was possible to prevent air from entering at the time of vulcanization molding while maintaining the visibility substantially equal, and to provide a visual effect that was not present in the related art.
[0025]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the pneumatic tire of the present invention, on the tire side surface, the first ridge extending in the first direction with respect to the tire meridian, and the second ridge extending in the second direction different from the first direction with respect to the tire meridian. Is formed, and the first ridge and the second ridge intersect. As a result, the decorative body engraved on the side surface of the tire can have an unprecedented visual effect, and can prevent air from entering during vulcanization molding.
