TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a control device for a continuously variable transmission capable of continuously changing a gear ratio, and more particularly to a control device for optimizing a clamping force for setting a torque capacity of the continuously variable transmission. .
[0002]
[Prior art]
Belt-type continuously variable transmissions and traction-type continuously variable transmissions transmit torque using a frictional force between a belt and a pulley and a shearing force of traction oil between a disk and a roller. Therefore, the torque capacity of these continuously variable transmissions is set in accordance with the pressure acting on the point where the transmission of the torque occurs.
[0003]
The above pressure in a continuously variable transmission is referred to as pinching pressure, and if the pinching pressure is increased, slippage can be avoided by increasing the torque capacity, but on the other hand, power is generated more than necessary to generate high pressure. There are inconveniences such as consumption or a reduction in power transmission efficiency. Therefore, in general, the clamping pressure is set as low as possible within a range in which unintended slippage does not occur.
[0004]
For example, in a vehicle equipped with a continuously variable transmission, the engine speed can be controlled by the continuously variable transmission to improve fuel efficiency. In order to improve the transmission efficiency as much as possible, the squeezing pressure is controlled to be set as low as possible without causing slippage. For this purpose, it is necessary to detect a pressure at which slippage starts (that is, a slip limit pressure). Conventionally, slip is detected by various methods, and a slip limit pressure is detected.
[0005]
As a device for detecting the slip,

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The theoretical gear ratio change rate described in
[0009]
However, slip detection of a continuously variable transmission is generally performed while a vehicle equipped with the continuously variable transmission is running, and in such a case, acceleration or deceleration is slightly affected by road surface conditions or vehicle flow conditions. Is done. When such acceleration / deceleration occurs, if slippage is detected by comparing with a value obtained from past data such as the above-mentioned estimated value, there is a possibility that a change in the gear ratio due to shifting is erroneously determined to be slippage. There is.
[0010]
The present invention has been made in view of the above technical problem, and an object of the present invention is to provide a control device that can accurately determine or detect slippage and a limit clamping pressure.
[0011]
Means for Solving the Problems and Their Functions
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is characterized in that when a required amount of downshift for the continuously variable transmission is large, the slip is not determined. More specifically, the invention of
[0012]
Therefore, according to the first aspect of the present invention, an estimated value of the speed ratio or the speed ratio change speed is obtained based on the past speed ratio, and the estimated value is compared with the current time speed ratio or the speed ratio change speed (that is, the actual speed ratio or speed change speed) ) Is determined to determine slippage of the continuously variable transmission. If the downshift request amount such as the downshift amount in the process of obtaining the estimated value or comparing the estimated value with the actual value or the drive request amount that causes the downshift is large, the above estimation is performed. The determination of the slip based on the value is stopped. As a result, erroneous determination of a change in the speed ratio or the speed ratio change speed due to the downshift as slip is avoided, and the slip determination accuracy is improved.
[0013]
The invention according to
[0014]
Therefore, according to the second aspect of the present invention, the slippage due to the reduction of the clamping pressure is determined, and when the slippage determination is established, the clamping pressure is restored, the input torque is temporarily reduced, and then gradually increased. Almost simultaneously with the convergence of the slip, the return of the reduced input torque is completed. As a result, a shock at the time of converging the slip caused by lowering the clamping pressure is prevented.
[0015]
Further, the invention according to
[0016]
Therefore, according to the third aspect of the present invention, a limit clamping pressure that balances the input torque is obtained based on the restored input torque. As a result, the limit clamping pressure is detected while preventing a shock.
[0017]
Further, the invention of claim 4 compares the estimated value of the speed ratio or the speed ratio change speed based on the speed ratio before the current time with the speed ratio or the speed ratio change speed at the current time to determine the slip. In the control device for the continuously variable transmission, when the slip is determined, at least one of the slip start time and the slip speed is determined based on the estimated value of the speed ratio or the estimated value of the speed ratio change speed. And a slip start specifying means for specifying the slip start.
[0018]
Therefore, according to the present invention, when the slip is determined based on the current gear ratio or the speed ratio change speed and its estimated value, the slip start time or the slip starting before the current time is determined based on the estimated value. The speed is specified. Therefore, the slip start time and the slip speed at that time can be accurately obtained.
[0019]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, a squeezing force that balances with a positive input torque acting from the input side is detected by reducing a squeezing force for setting a torque capacity, and the squeezing force is corrected based on the detection result. In the control device for a continuously variable transmission configured, after the determination of the slip generated in the process of reducing the clamping force is established, the tendency of the clamping force to decrease is reduced or increased. And a clamping force control means for increasing the increasing gradient of the clamping force after the slippage has stopped.
[0020]
Therefore, according to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the clamping pressure reduced so as to cause the slip is increased at a relatively large gradient after the convergence of the slip. As a result, slippage is prevented from occurring again, and if the input torque is reduced in order to converge the slippage, the input torque can be quickly restored. A delay in the return of the output torque of the machine is prevented.
[0021]

[0033]
The clamping pressure set by the reduction control is a pressure corresponding to a so-called road surface input which is expected to be input from an output side according to a road surface condition to a limit clamping pressure capable of transmitting input torque without causing slippage. The pressure is set to a value obtained by adding a predetermined pressure in consideration of safety against slippage. The predetermined pressure can be set in advance, but the slip limit pressure is influenced by the friction coefficient and the state of the lubricating oil, which can change with time, and cannot be uniquely set in advance. It is preferable to set it.
[0034]
The control device according to the present invention for the continuously
[0035]
In FIG. 1, first, a determination is made on the flag F (step S1). This flag F is set to "1" when it is determined that slippage occurs in the continuously
[0036]
Therefore, when the routine of FIG. 1 is started, the determination of “F = 0” is established in step S1, and it is determined whether or not the control precondition is satisfied (step S2). In order to detect the limit pinching pressure, the torque acting on the continuously
[0037]
If a positive determination is made in step S2 because the control precondition is satisfied, a squeezing pressure gradually decreasing command to gradually reduce the squeezing pressure at a predetermined gradient is output (step S3). This is, for example, control for gradually changing the duty ratio of a duty solenoid valve for controlling the hydraulic pressure for the
[0038]
Further, when the control precondition is satisfied, a differential value (or an amount of change from the previous value) of the gear ratio γ is obtained, and a moving average process is performed to calculate a moving average value Δγ (step S4). Note that an average value may be obtained instead of the moving average value.
Next, it is determined whether the amount of depression of the accelerator pedal from the current time to a time before a predetermined time is equal to or less than a predetermined value (step S5). Since the accelerator pedal is depressed to increase the driving force, it is determined in step S5 that a request for increasing the driving force has been made, and in order to increase the driving force, a downshift for reducing the gear ratio is performed. Therefore, in step S5, the magnitude of the downshift amount or the required downshift amount is determined.
[0039]
If the depression amount of the accelerator pedal is equal to or less than a predetermined value, and the downshift amount or the required downshift amount is small, and the determination in step S5 is affirmative, the moving average value Δγ before the predetermined time is used. Then, the threshold value for slip determination is corrected (step S6). This is to prevent the change in the speed ratio change speed due to the slip from being taken into the estimated value of the speed ratio change speed, and therefore, the threshold value is corrected by the average value of the speed ratio change speed in the past specific section. You may do it.
[0040]
As described above, since the data during the past predetermined time or during the specific section is used for slip determination, when the gear ratio changes due to downshifting due to an increase in the required drive amount, the change in gear ratio change speed due to gear shifting and the change due to slip are determined. You will not be able to distinguish. In order to avoid such inconvenience, the determination in step S5 is performed.
[0041]
After correcting the determination threshold value in step S6, a macro slip determination is performed (step S7). In the continuously
[0042]
If a negative determination is made in step S7 because no macro slip has occurred, the process once exits this routine. Conversely, when a positive determination is made in step S7 because a macro slip has occurred, that is, when a slip determination is made, the flag F is set to "1" and the slip start time and The sliding speed is specified (Step S8). The slip start time is a time point before the current time point, and the difference between the estimated value of the speed ratio γ or the speed ratio change speed Δγ and one of these actual values is determined by the determination threshold in step S7. It is specified as a point in time when a predetermined value smaller than the value is exceeded. In addition, the slip speed is obtained based on a difference between the estimated speed ratio and the actual speed ratio.
[0043]
In addition, a gradual increase command of the clamping pressure (Step S9) and an engine torque (Te) down command (Step S10) for decreasing the input torque are output when the slip determination is established. The gradual increase of the squeezing pressure is control for gradually increasing the squeezing pressure at a predetermined gradient. Instead of the gradual increase control of the squeezing pressure, control for maintaining the squeezing pressure at the pressure at that time may be executed.
[0044]
Further, the engine torque is reduced by, for example, retarding the ignition timing of the
[0045]
Next, it is determined whether the slip has converged (step S11). Specifically, the determination can be made based on whether or not the difference Δγ ′ between the estimated speed ratio and the actual speed ratio has become equal to or less than a predetermined value set as a criterion.
[0046]
If a negative determination is made in step S11, the slip has not converged, and the process once exits. In this case, since the flag F is set to "1", the determination of "F = 1" is established in step S1, and as a result, the process immediately proceeds to step S9, and the gradual increase control of the clamping pressure is continued.
[0047]
On the other hand, when a positive determination is made in step S11 because the slippage has converged, the clamping pressure map is corrected (step S12). That is, the squeezing pressure to be reduced when the operation state of the vehicle is stable, such as the steady running state, is determined as a map according to the input torque and the gear ratio. In step S12, the actual hydraulic pressure at the start of the squeezing pressure decrease is determined. The map is corrected with a value obtained by converting the difference between the actual oil pressure when the slip determination is established and the actual oil pressure into a hydraulic pressure command value. More specifically, the required clamping pressure is obtained by adding the road surface input-corresponding component (that is, the pressure in consideration of predetermined safety) to the pressure at which the slip starts, that is, the limit clamping pressure that is balanced with the input torque, and a map is obtained by the required clamping pressure. Change the value.
[0048]
Since the slippage has converged, the return gradient of the clamping pressure is increased (step S13). Further, the flag F is set to “2”, and a command to reduce the engine torque reduction amount to zero is output (step S14). Since the slippage has converged, the amount of engine torque reduction obtained by the above-described function becomes zero. However, in order to ensure certainty, an instruction in step S14 is output.
[0049]
Further, it is determined whether or not the clamping pressure has reached an appropriate level (appropriate pressure) (step S15). If a negative determination is made in step S15, the process once exits this routine. In this case, since the flag F is set to “2”, the determination of “F = 2” is established in step S1, so that the process immediately proceeds to step S13, and the control for returning the clamping pressure is continued. On the other hand, if a positive determination is made in step S15, the flag F and the temporarily stored value are cleared to end the control (step S16).
[0050]
In addition, if the determination in step S5 is negative due to the fact that the depression amount of the accelerator pedal exceeds the predetermined value, the detection control of the limit clamping pressure based on the decrease in the clamping pressure is stopped at that time. That is, while the stored value is cleared, the return control of the reduced squeezing pressure is executed, the squeezing pressure according to the input torque region at that time is determined according to the progress of the control, and the map value is changed. You.
[0051]
That is, since the requested amount of downshifting is large, the change amount of the gear ratio becomes large, and this becomes an error factor of slip detection. Therefore, the control is stopped. At that time, no slip occurs even if the clamping pressure is reduced. Therefore, the squeezing pressure can be reflected in the squeezing pressure reduction control in the steady running state or the quasi-steady running state. Therefore, the map value is changed based on the clamping pressure at that time.
[0052]
Changes in the clamping pressure, engine torque, shift command value, and the like when the above control is performed during the downshift are shown in the time chart of FIG. In FIG. 2, the change of the speed ratio and its change speed in the case of an upshift is indicated by a broken line.
[0053]
When the control start condition is satisfied at the time point A, a command to gradually reduce the clamping pressure is output, and as a result, the actual clamping pressure starts to decrease after a predetermined time. In the process, the differential value of the gear ratio and its moving average value are obtained. Then, when the accelerator pedal is depressed at a predetermined time point B while the clamping pressure is being reduced to increase the accelerator opening, a shift command is output and the speed ratio change speed increases. When the change amount ΔPa of the accelerator opening is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value, the control is continued.
[0054]
Then, when slippage occurs due to a decrease in the clamping pressure (at time point C), the actual speed ratio and the actual speed ratio change rate increase, and the difference between these estimated values gradually increases. If it exceeds (at the time point D), the slip is determined. As a result, a command to gradually increase the clamping pressure is output, and a command to reduce the engine (E / G) torque (input torque) (down command) is output.
[0055]
For example, if the amount of change ΔPa in the accelerator opening exceeds a predetermined value during the predetermined time t1 before the time point D, a negative determination is made in step S5 and the control is stopped. It should be noted that instead of the change in the accelerator opening exceeding the predetermined value ΔPa, the current shift command value is not less than the downshift-side predetermined value D1 or the shift command value change amount during the predetermined time t1 is changed. The control may be stopped on the down side based on being equal to or more than the predetermined value ΔD1.
[0056]
When the control for lowering the engine torque is executed by the retard control of the ignition timing, the response is good, so that the engine torque is immediately reduced, and as a result, the slippage tends to converge. That is, the speed ratio once increased starts to decrease or stops increasing, and the speed ratio change speed starts to decrease. Further, the actual clamping pressure starts increasing with a delay of a predetermined time from the start of the output of the clamping pressure gradually increasing command. This is point E in FIG.
[0057]
Since the actual pinching pressure increases in conjunction with the execution of the engine torque reduction control, the slippage converges at the point F after a predetermined time. As described above, since the engine torque reduction amount is set according to the difference between the estimated value and the actual value of the speed ratio or the speed ratio change speed, the slippage converges and the estimated value and the actual value When the difference disappears, the engine torque reduction amount becomes zero. In addition, in order to ensure reliability, a command to reduce the engine torque reduction amount to zero is output. As a result, the point in time at which the slippage converges due to the gradual increase in the pinching pressure and the point in time when the engine torque down amount becomes zero, that is, the return of the pinching pressure and the return of the input torque are simultaneously established. At the same time, the gradient of the return of the clamping pressure is increased. As a result, the safety against slippage is quickly improved.
[0058]
According to the control device of the present invention configured to execute the above-described control, in the process of obtaining the estimated value of the speed ratio or the speed ratio change speed, the required amount of the downshift is determined by depressing the accelerator pedal or the like. Becomes larger, the change in the gear ratio due to the downshift becomes a disturbance to the slip determination and causes an erroneous determination, and the slip determination control is stopped. In other words, since the slip is determined without any erroneous determination factor, the slip determination accuracy is improved. In addition, by correcting a control amount such as a map value of the squeezing pressure based on the squeezing pressure at the time of the suspension, it is possible to improve the accuracy of the so-called decrease control of the squeezing pressure.
[0059]
Further, since the slip determination is established and the clamping pressure gradually increasing command is output, the input torque reduction control is executed, so that the slip after the slip determination is established can be effectively suppressed or prevented, and the clamping pressure increases. Thus, it is possible to suppress or prevent a shock caused by the inertial force at the time when the slippage has converged. Then, by matching the time of the return of the clamping pressure, that is, the convergence of the slip caused by the increase of the clamping pressure and the return of the input torque, the input torque at that time and the limit clamping pressure corresponding thereto can be obtained. That is, since the engine torque reduction amount is zero, the engine output torque can be obtained based on the engine load and the like, and the actual pinching pressure at the time when the slippage has converged can be known from the output value of the sensor. Can be estimated on the convergence side of slip.
[0060]
Here, the relationship between the above specific example and the present invention will be briefly described. The functional means of step S5 described above corresponds to the slip determination suspending means of the present invention, and the functional means of step S7 corresponds to the functional means of the present invention. The functional means of step S9 corresponds to the clamping force increasing means of the present invention, the functional means of step S10 corresponds to the input torque control means of the present invention, and the functional means of step S12 corresponds to the slipping determining means. The means corresponds to the limit clamping pressure detecting means of the present invention. Further, the functional means of step S8 corresponds to the slip start specifying means of the present invention, and the functional means of step S13 corresponds to the clamping force control means of the present invention.
[0061]
Note that the present invention is not limited to the above specific example, and the continuously variable transmission in the present invention may be a toroidal (traction) continuously variable transmission in addition to the belt-type continuously variable transmission. The present invention can be applied not only to slippage caused by lowering the clamping pressure but also to slippage during normal operation of the continuously variable transmission. Further, the downshift request amount in the present invention may be a change amount on the load increasing side of the power source, or may be a request amount from a control device that maintains the vehicle speed at a set value. The change amount of the value on the downshift side may be used. The determination of slip in the present invention is a determination of a slip situation, and thus is not limited to determination of the start of slip, but also includes determination of a state immediately before the start of slip or a precursor of slip.
[0062]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the downshift amount or downshift occurs in the process of obtaining the estimated value of the speed ratio or the speed ratio change speed, or comparing the estimated value with the actual value. If the downshift request amount such as the drive request amount that causes the shift is large, the slip determination based on the above estimated value is stopped, so that the change in the speed ratio or speed ratio change speed due to the downshift is regarded as slip. The erroneous determination can be avoided and the slip determination accuracy can be improved.
[0063]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the return of the input torque is completed almost at the same time as the convergence of the slip, it is possible to prevent a shock at the time of converging the slip caused by reducing the clamping pressure.
[0064]
Further, according to the third aspect of the present invention, since the limit clamping pressure that matches the input torque is obtained based on the restored input torque, it is possible to detect the limit clamping pressure while preventing a shock.
[0065]
Still further, according to the invention of claim 4, when the slip is determined based on the current gear ratio or the speed ratio change speed and the estimated value, the slip before the current time is determined based on the estimated value. Since the start time or the slip speed is specified, the slip start time and the slip speed at that time can be accurately obtained.
[0066]
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the clamping pressure reduced so as to cause the slip is increased with a relatively large gradient after the convergence of the slip, so that it is possible to prevent the slip from occurring again. At the same time, when the input torque is reduced in order to converge the slip, the input torque can be quickly restored, and a delay in the return of the output torque of the continuously variable transmission can be prevented.
