TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a driving technique for a hybrid vehicle having an engine and an electric motor as power sources for driving driving wheels.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A hybrid vehicle having an engine and an electric motor as power sources is provided with a generator motor that serves both as a generator and an electric motor at a flywheel mounting portion between the engine and the transmission, and when starting, the power of the electric motor, that is, the motor torque is used as the engine torque. The one that performs the power assist added to the vehicle has been developed. In such a vehicle, a motor is mounted on a relatively small engine having a displacement of, for example, about 1300 cc to improve the charging efficiency of electric energy, and at the same time assist the motor power to the engine power (up to 60 to 50 Nm when starting). Torque) to reduce the size and weight of the drive device. In other words, this is a system in which the power of the motor is assisted by the engine power in accordance with a running condition such as starting or accelerating with the engine as the main power, and the total torque of the engine and the motor is set to about 150 Nm (for example, see Patent Document 1) ). Among such assist hybrid vehicles, there is an assist hybrid vehicle that performs an assist using a 42V power supply to a diesel engine to reduce exhaust gas and improve fuel consumption of the vehicle.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above-mentioned conventional technology, the motor torque is assisted by the engine torque to supplement the torque characteristics. However, the fuel efficiency is greatly improved compared to the automatic transmission with the torque converter, and the economic efficiency can be emphasized. However, the motor assist cannot be obtained as much as the torque amplifying operation of the torque converter, and the power performance must be endured. Therefore, it is indispensable to improve the low-speed torque. Therefore, when this technology is applied to a four-wheel drive vehicle or the like, there is an inconvenience that climbing performance, running performance, traction on a rough road, etc. are significantly reduced as compared with a conventional four-wheel drive vehicle with a torque converter. Particularly, when the vehicle is towed, there is an inconvenience that a remarkable difference occurs.
[0005]
In the above-mentioned conventional hybrid vehicle, since the permanent magnet is used for the synchronous generator, the drive device can be reduced in size. On the other hand, the rotor generates power during high-speed rotation, and the gap between the rotor and the stator is generated. Drag torque acts. Since the drag torque is generated between the stator and the rotor in the direction opposite to the rotor, the drag torque becomes a resistance to the engine torque. For this reason, when the vehicle is driven by the engine, a horsepower loss occurs during high-speed operation, which causes a reduction in power performance and a deterioration in fuel consumption. In particular, a hybrid vehicle with an engine with a relatively large displacement requires a corresponding amount of power assist, so the torque capacity is increased by using an electric motor with a rotor with a large diameter. The resistance torque due to the power generation action is further increased, which is more and more inconvenient for a vehicle that frequently runs at high speed.
[0006]
As a countermeasure, there is a case in which control is performed so as to cancel the drag torque. However, while the torque cancellation control is operating, the generator motor generates heat due to the consumed current, which affects the durability and reliability of the drive device. There is a need to. This is because, assuming continuous or high-speed operation on a highway, the size of the cooling device is increased, and the power consumption is increased due to the torque cancellation control. As a result, fuel consumption is deteriorated. This tendency is more disadvantageous for a generator motor having a large rated output and a structure in which a rotor or a stator has a relatively large diameter. Further, if the gap between the rotor and the stator is reduced to increase the power generation efficiency, there is a contradiction that the drag torque increases during high-speed operation. In addition, there is a problem that a gasoline engine having a higher engine rotation range than a diesel engine tends to be disadvantageous.
[0007]
An object of the present invention is to rotate a rotor of an electric motor as necessary to transmit torque to driving wheels, thereby improving a running feeling of a vehicle.
[0008]
Another object of the present invention is to improve vehicle mountability of a drive device so that the drive device can be stored in an existing vehicle drive device without increasing the size.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A drive device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention is a drive device for a hybrid vehicle that includes an engine and an electric motor, and transmits torque of one or both of the engine and the electric motor to drive wheels in accordance with a running condition of the vehicle. A transmission input shaft to which the torque is input, and a plurality of transmission gears which are always meshed with a plurality of transmission gears provided on the transmission input shaft to form a transmission gear train, and transmit torque to driving wheels. A transmission having an output shaft that performs transmission, a first clutch that connects and disconnects between an engine output shaft and the input shaft of the transmission, and a first clutch that connects and disconnects between the input shaft of the transmission and a rotor of the electric motor. A second clutch, and a third clutch intermittently connected between the transmission shaft and the rotor, the transmission shaft being connected to the transmission output shaft so as to transmit power.
[0010]
A drive device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention includes a plurality of mechanical clutches in which the transmission input shaft and the transmission output shaft are arranged in parallel and sets a gear train for transmitting torque among the plurality of transmission gear trains. Wherein the rotation axis of the rotor, the axis of the engine output shaft, and the axis of the transmission shaft are arranged on the same axis. The present invention is characterized in that the clutch is disposed between the transmission and a transmission, and the first to third clutches are multi-plate clutches operated by hydraulic or electromagnetic force.
[0011]
The drive device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention includes a mode in which the first clutch is engaged to transmit the torque of the electric motor to the drive wheels when starting or accelerating; A mode in which both clutches are engaged to combine the torque of both the engine and the electric motor and transmitted to the drive wheels.
[0012]
The drive device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention may be configured such that the first clutch is engaged in a state where the electric motor is driven or the vehicle is running and the first clutch is released. The engine is started by the following.
[0013]
The drive device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention disengages the first clutch and engages the second or third clutch when the vehicle is being decelerated by an engine brake or a driver's brake operation. The electric motor is driven by the rotational energy of the driving wheels to charge a battery.
[0014]
The drive device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention is characterized in that at least the first clutch and the second clutch are engaged during battery charging.
[0015]
The drive device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention transmits the torque of the electric motor to the transmission output shaft via the transmission shaft by engaging the third clutch at the time of shifting, and releases the first clutch. And transmitting power from the engine to the transmission input shaft.
[0016]
The drive device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention controls the transmission torque by the first clutch when the vehicle starts moving, and releases the first clutch to cut off the engine torque and operate the mechanical clutch when shifting. It is characterized.
[0017]
According to the present invention, by connecting and disconnecting the three clutches, a large number of power transmission paths can be selectively set between the engine, the electric motor, and the transmission output shaft. That is, when the first clutch is engaged, a path for transmitting the torque of the clutch engine to the drive wheels via the transmission input shaft is formed, and when the second clutch is engaged, the motor torque of the electric motor is transmitted to the transmission input shaft. A path for transmission to the drive wheels via the vehicle is formed. Further, when the first and second clutches are engaged, a path for transmitting both torques of the engine and the electric motor to the drive wheels via the transmission input shaft is formed. A path is set for transmitting the torque to the drive wheels by bypassing the torque directly to the transmission output shaft without passing through the transmission input shaft. Further, when the first and second clutches are engaged with the mechanical clutch disconnected, a power transmission path is formed between the engine and the electric motor, and the torque of the electric motor is transmitted to the engine to start the engine. On the other hand, the engine torque can be transmitted to the motor to charge the battery as a generator.
[0018]
Any of such power transmission paths can be set according to the driving situation of the vehicle and further according to the driver's intention in addition to the driving situation of the vehicle, and the rotor of the electric motor is rotated as necessary. Thus, torque can be transmitted to the drive wheels to improve the running feeling of the vehicle. In addition, the rotor of the electric motor can be stopped when the vehicle is driven by the engine, and the generation of drag torque is prevented, so that a small-sized drive device that does not require a cooling device can be obtained. Further, by transmitting the motor torque to the transmission output shaft via the transmission shaft, when the mechanical clutch is operated to change gears, the occurrence of torque shortage is prevented and smooth gear shifting operation is performed. be able to.
[0019]
By the selection of the power transmission path described above, the control device enters an engine running mode in which the engine power is transmitted to the transmission input shaft via the first clutch by engaging only the first clutch. In this engine traveling mode, the engine power is transmitted to the drive wheels via the speed change gear train by selecting a predetermined shift speed by a mechanical clutch. At this time, since the second clutch is disengaged, the rotation of the rotor is stopped during traveling, and the generation of drag torque of the rotor during high-speed traveling can be prevented.
[0020]
When the second clutch is engaged and the motor torque of the electric motor is transmitted to the transmission input shaft in a state where the engine is stopped, the drive device enters the electric motor traveling mode. Further, when the first and second clutches are engaged, the driving device enters a torque combined traveling mode in which the engine torque and the electric motor torque are combined and transmitted to the transmission input shaft. On the other hand, when the mechanical clutch is operated to perform automatic gear shifting, the drive device is set to the automatic transmission mode, and the motor torque of the electric motor is directly transmitted to the transmission output shaft, and switching of the gear position causes torque loss. It can be performed smoothly without.
[0021]
On the other hand, when the electric motor functions as a generator under the state where the first and second clutches are engaged, the driving device transmits the engine power to the driving wheels and the electric motor, and charges the battery while traveling the vehicle. The charging traveling mode is set. Further, in this charging mode, when all the mechanical clutches are set to the neutral position, that is, the neutral position, the engine torque is transmitted to the electric motor without being transmitted to the driving wheels, and the driving device generates all the engine power. It becomes the charge mode used for.
[0022]
When the vehicle decelerates or brakes are applied, the first clutch is disengaged to prevent the engine brake from working, and when the second clutch is engaged, the motor functions as a generator by the drive wheels. The driving device is set to the energy regeneration mode when the brake is applied.
[0023]
Since this drive device can start the vehicle by the engine while sliding the first clutch, the electric circuit is constituted by a high voltage system for the electric motor and a low voltage system for the solenoid valve for controlling the mechanical clutch. Then, even if the high-voltage system of the motor fails, the limp home mode can be set so that the engine start system can function. Further, the starting of the vehicle can be performed by either an engine or an electric motor.

When the vehicle is decelerated or a brake operation is performed, the first clutch C1 is disengaged to prevent the engine brake from working, and when the second clutch C2 is engaged, the motor M is generated by the drive wheels. The drive device is set to the energy regeneration mode when the brake is activated. In this energy regeneration mode, there is no need to perform cylinder deactivation to reduce pumping loss of the engine during braking and improve regeneration efficiency as in the conventional case, and the engine is driven by releasing the first clutch C1. Can be released. Thus, the energy regeneration mode can be performed with simple control without performing complicated cylinder deactivation. Further, since the energy regeneration mode can be set by operating the clutch C1, the occurrence of engine stall during sudden braking can be avoided. That is, if the brake is stepped on a slippery road, the wheel lock or the engine stall may be caused, but this can be prevented. In a vehicle with an ABS, the engine stall can be prevented by controlling the clutch C1 according to the operation of the brake and the ABS.

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, in a hybrid vehicle having an engine and an electric motor as power sources, a running state or an operation from a plurality of power transmission paths is established by connecting and disconnecting a plurality of clutches between these power sources and drive wheels. Since the optimum power transmission path can be selected according to the intention of the driver, the torque of the engine and the electric motor can be combined to improve the power performance of the vehicle. Further, it is possible to drive the vehicle with the torque of the electric motor or to avoid the generation of drag torque of the electric motor during high-speed driving, thereby achieving an improvement in fuel efficiency. Further, by transmitting the torque of the electric motor to the transmission output shaft at the time of shifting, a smooth shift quality without torque shortage can be obtained.
