【0001】

[Prior art]
4A and 4B are plan views illustrating the configuration of a conventional combination IC card. FIG. 4A is an overall view, and FIG. 4B is an antenna forming sheet view. First, as shown in FIG. 4A, a conventional combination IC card has a module mounting recess (FIG. 4A) for mounting an IC module (3) at an upper left position of the combination IC card (1) (hereinafter referred to as an IC card). There is 4). A non-contact antenna (2) (hereinafter, referred to as an antenna) is stored in the IC card (1) in advance. The module mounting recess (4) has a joint (11) between the IC module (3) and the antenna (2). Since the non-contact antenna is not visible from the surface, it is indicated by a broken line. The size of the IC card and the position of the module mounting portion are arranged and manufactured within an allowable range according to a unified standard.
[0003]
FIG. 4B is a plan view of the antenna forming sheet (23), and a planar antenna joint pattern (12a) is formed in the module mounting recess (4).
[0004]
FIG. 5 is a side sectional view showing a stacked configuration of a conventional combination IC card. As shown in FIG. 5, the IC card (1) has a surface oversheet (25), a second core sheet (24), an antenna forming sheet (23) having an antenna (2) on the surface, and a It is formed by laminating one core sheet (22) and a back surface oversheet (21).
[0005]
The IC module (3) is mounted at the center of the cut-out portion of the module mounting recess (4). The IC module (3) is fixed to the antenna bonding pattern (12) via a conductive adhesive (5), and the periphery of the conductive adhesive (5) is via a module adhesive (6). It is fixed to the second core sheet (24). The antenna joining pattern (12) is connected to the antenna (2).
[0006]
Next, FIG. 6 is an explanatory view of a conventional combination IC card, and a module (3) is mounted on the IC card. FIG. 6A is an overall plan view of the IC card, FIG. 6B is a partially enlarged side sectional view of the joint (11), and FIG. 6C is peeling of the joint (11). It is a sectional side view explaining an example of a situation.
[0007]
As shown in FIG. 6B, the planar antenna bonding pattern (12a) and the second core sheet (24) are bonded by heat fusion, and the bonded surfaces are bonded to a planar metal surface and a planar metal surface. It is formed at the interface with the resin layer. The interface has a problem that the bonding strength is weak and the interface is easily damaged when an external force is applied. That is, when the combination IC card receives a strong impact from the outside, the antenna bonding pattern (12a) is planar, so that the bonding surface with the second core sheet (24) is peeled off.
[0008]
As shown in FIG. 6C, when an external force such as bending or load is applied to the IC card (1), the IC card (1) deforms flexibly, but the rigid IC module hardly deforms. An external force for delamination is applied in the vicinity of the joint (11). Therefore, the joint surface between the surface of the antenna forming sheet (23) and the second core sheet (24) is separated. That is, the joint portion (11) of the combination IC card (1) is damaged, which causes disconnection or poor connection.
[0009]
To solve the above problem, a method of manufacturing an IC card by attaching a bottom surface of a lead frame type IC module to an IC card material by changing a conventional manufacturing method (see

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
It is an object of the present invention to improve the joint strength between an antenna and an IC module and the joint strength between an IC card material and an IC module by changing some members without changing the manufacturing process and module size, and to improve the external force of the combination IC card. The object of the present invention is to provide a combination IC card in which a failure or a failure does not occur at the time of bending due to an external force or a physical load due to an external force.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a combination IC card equipped with one IC module having a contact and non-contact response function, wherein the non-contact antenna provided inside a card substrate for the combination IC card and the non-contact antenna. [0013]
The invention according to
[0014]
[Action]
In the combination IC card of the present invention, since the joint (11) between the non-contact antenna (6) and the IC module is joined via the grid-like antenna joint pattern (12b), the IC card is deformed. However, the deformation stress does not affect the strength of the joint, and the joint does not peel even if a strong impact is applied.
[0015]

The IC module (3) is joined to the front core sheet (32) via a module adhesive (6), and is joined to the lattice-like antenna joint pattern (12b) via a conductive adhesive (5). ing.
[0025]
<Example 1>
A combination IC card of the present invention in which a grid-like antenna joint pattern was formed was manufactured. The lattice-shaped antenna bonding portion pattern was formed by etching, which is a known manufacturing method. The lattice-shaped pattern shape has an outer dimension of 5.2 mm × 5.2 mm, and five openings each having a size of 0.4 mm × 0.4 mm are arranged and formed at equal intervals in the horizontal and vertical directions inside the pattern. Note that a copper foil was used as a conductor for the antenna.
[0026]
A core sheet of non-crystalline thermoplastic PET-G resin (trade name: Estar-PET, manufactured by Eastman Chemical Co., Ltd.) is collated on the upper and lower sides of the antenna-forming sheet, and subjected to primary lamination processing. A 56 mm thick core sheet was produced. Next, after temporarily bonding the front oversheet and the back oversheet having a thickness of 0.1 mm, under a condition of 135 ° C., a pressing pressure of 25 kg / cm 2 and a period of 20 minutes, a 0.75 mm thickness is formed by heating and pressurizing secondary lamination. Was prepared. Next, the sheet was punched into a predetermined shape using a punching die to produce a white card. Next, a predetermined position on the surface of the white card was cut out using an engraving machine to form a module mounting recess.
[0027]
The joint between the antenna and the IC module was joined via a conductive adhesive. The conductive adhesive used was FB-ML80 (trade name, manufactured by Nissho Corporation). The IC module was joined to the core sheet (32) via a module adhesive. The module adhesive used was E4110 (trade name, manufactured by EPO-TEC). (See Figs. 2 and 3)
[0028]
<Comparative Example 1>
A conventional combination IC card in which a planar antenna joint pattern was formed was manufactured. The only difference from the first embodiment is that the antenna joint pattern is formed in a planar pattern, and the other materials and the manufacturing method are the same. The planar antenna joint pattern had an outer dimension of 5.2 mm × 5.2 mm and had no opening inside the pattern. (See Fig. 6)
[0029]
Using the products of Example 1 and Comparative Example 1, a strength evaluation test was performed on the joint between the non-contact antenna and the IC module.
[0030]
Evaluation items and test methods will be described. In the thermal shock test (according to JIS7022B-4), a low temperature (−30 ° C.) and a high temperature (70 ° C.) are each left for 10 minutes for 10 minutes. In the bending test (based on JISX6303), the front and back surfaces of the card in the short side and long side directions are rolled 250 times each, for a total of 1000 times. In the torsion test (according to JIS X6303), the card is twisted 1000 times in the front and back directions relative to the short side of the card as a center position. In the three-wheel test (according to ISO / IEC 10373-3 Appendix), the card is inserted and removed while applying pressure (20 N / m 2 ) to the module part of the card. In the hit test (standard test method), the card is placed on a desk, a portion 20 mm inward from the short side opposite to the module is suppressed, the short side on the module side is raised 40 mm, and then separated, and the card is hit on the desk. These are the five items. The evaluation test method and evaluation results are shown in Table 1 below.
[0031]
[Table 1]
[0032]
According to the above results, in the lattice-shaped pattern of the present invention, the peeling failure of the joint did not occur. In the case of the planar pattern, the joint surface between the antenna and the core sheet was separated, and a defect occurred. From the above, it was proved that the bonding strength was higher when the antenna configuration was a lattice configuration than when it was a planar configuration.
[0033]
【The invention's effect】
The combination IC card according to the present invention is characterized in that the joint between the non-contact antenna and the IC module is changed to a grid-like antenna joint pattern without changing the conventional manufacturing process or module size, thereby improving the durability of the IC card. This has the effect of improving the bendability and the durability under external pressure such as an impact, thereby reducing failures due to disconnection at the joint of the combination IC card.
