Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a lock-up clutch control device that connects an input / output shaft of a torque converter.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A torque converter, which is an automatic transmission of a vehicle, circulates hydraulic oil between a pump impeller coupled to an input shaft driven by an engine and a turbine runner coupled to an output shaft coupled to a transmission mechanism. The torque is transmitted in accordance with the flow reaction force. In the torque transmission of the torque converter, when the rotation speed of the turbine is lower than the rotation speed of the pump, a sufficient effect of increasing the transmission torque can be obtained, and the transmission torque increases as the turbine rotation speed approaches the pump rotation speed. The effect is reduced.

In such a torque converter, slip occurs between the turbine and the pump in an operating range where the throttle opening degree, which is load information, is increasing and changing, and a reduction in power transmission efficiency cannot be avoided, resulting in poor fuel economy. There is a problem that. Therefore, a lock-up clutch for intermittently connecting the input shaft and the output shaft of the torque converter is provided, and the input shaft and the output shaft of the torque converter are connected by the lock-up clutch, thereby improving power transmission efficiency and reducing fuel consumption. I try to prevent it.
[0004]
In the lock-up control of the lock-up clutch, for example, as shown in FIG. 8, at time t0, the accelerator opening APS, which is the load information, changes more than the fully closed state, and the input shaft of the torque converter increases as the engine speed increases. And a slip speed, which is a rotation difference between the output shaft and the vehicle speed, gradually increases with time, and the time t1 exceeds the predetermined vehicle speed V01 (the time when the turbine rotational speed NT shown in FIG. 9 exceeds the predetermined rotational speed NT1). The slip direct connection control (see FIG. 9) is entered, and the lock-up clutch is brought into the slip direct connection state. In the slip direct connection control, the duty of the hydraulic control valve is controlled so that the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch at the time of complete direct connection is suppressed and the engine speed is excessively increased, for example, the slip speed is set to a predetermined value. Adjust the ratio.
[0005]
Thereafter, when the vehicle speed reaches a predetermined value V02 at time t2 shown in FIG. 8 (turbine rotation speed NT reaches predetermined rotation speed NT2), the hydraulic control valve is driven at a duty ratio of 100% to obtain a completely connected state, Lock-up clutch is directly connected.
As described above, in the low-speed operation range (the non-direct connection range in FIG. 9) at or below the predetermined vehicle speed V01, the torque converter increases the transmission torque to perform torque-prioritized traveling, and the predetermined vehicle speed (V01 and the predetermined vehicle speed V02) In the intermediate speed operation range (slip direct connection area in FIG. 9), the hydraulic control valve of the lock-up clutch is operated to perform the slip direct connection control to increase the vehicle speed while suppressing an excessive increase in the engine speed, thereby achieving a complete direct connection. In the region, driving is performed with an aim of improving fuel efficiency.

Note that Japanese Patent No. 2850646 (Patent Document 1) discloses an invention in which a lock-up clutch is temporarily engaged when the vehicle suddenly starts to improve the starting performance.

[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
According to the torque converter with the lock-up mechanism described above, in the normal operation state, the lock-up (complete direct connection control) of the torque converter and the slip direct connection control preceding it are performed based on the shift map of FIG. (Turbo speed NT) and the engine load (throttle opening θT), the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch can be suppressed, and the fuel efficiency can be improved.
[0009]
As described above, in the non-direct connection region immediately after the vehicle starts and before reaching the slip direct connection region or the complete direct connection region (in the case of a high load), the lock-up clutch is set in the non-direct connection state to obtain the effect of increasing the transmission torque of the torque converter. , And torque-priority operation is possible.
However, it is assumed that the torque-priority driving from the vehicle start time t0 to the time point t1 exceeding the predetermined vehicle speed V01 as shown in FIG. In this case, an increase in the transmission torque loss due to an excessive slip in the torque converter and an increase in the time during which the engine is operated in a high rotation range lead to an increase in fuel consumption, and improvement is desired.
[0010]
The present invention has been made on the basis of the above-described problems, and it is possible to suppress operation in an energy loss state when a predetermined slip controllable condition is satisfied even in a conventional non-direct connection area, thereby improving fuel efficiency. It is an object of the present invention to provide a lock-up control device for an automatic transmission that can achieve the following.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a first aspect of the present invention provides a torque converter disposed between an engine and a speed change mechanism for transmitting a driving force from the engine to the speed change mechanism, and an input member of the torque converter. A lock-up clutch control device, comprising: a lock-up clutch capable of engaging the motor and an output member; and a clutch control means for controlling an engagement state of the lock-up clutch in accordance with a driving state of the vehicle. Speed detecting means for detecting the engine speed, engine speed detecting means for detecting the engine speed, and engine load detecting means for detecting the engine load. The clutch control means, wherein the vehicle speed is equal to or higher than a predetermined vehicle speed When the lock-up clutch is engaged, the rotational speed difference between the input member and the output member is equal to or less than a predetermined value. When the vehicle speed is lower than the predetermined vehicle speed, the lock-up clutch is engaged so that the engine speed or the speed difference becomes a target value set based on the vehicle speed and the engine negative running. It is characterized by controlling the state.
[0012]
As described above, when the vehicle speed is lower than the predetermined vehicle speed, the engagement state of the lock-up clutch is controlled such that the engine rotation speed or the rotation speed difference becomes a target value set based on the vehicle speed and the engine load. This prevents the engine from blowing up, thereby improving fuel efficiency. In this case, the shift map may be created and used so that the predetermined vehicle speed changes according to the engine load, or may be set regardless of the engine load.
Here, in controlling the engagement state of the lock-up clutch so that the rotational speed difference between the input member and the output member is equal to or less than a predetermined value, the predetermined value is, for example, a completely directly connected region. For example, 5 rpm is set to 0 rpm in the case of the slip direct connection extended area.
[0013]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the lock-up clutch control device according to the first aspect, the clutch control unit is configured to determine whether the engine load is higher than a predetermined value even when the vehicle speed is lower than a predetermined vehicle speed. The lock-up clutch is in a non-direct connection state.
As described above, when the vehicle speed is lower than the predetermined vehicle speed and the engine load is higher than the predetermined value, the lockup clutch is set to the non-directly connected state, and the torque amplification of the torque converter is used to improve acceleration (starting performance).
[0014]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the control device for a lock-up clutch according to the first aspect, the clutch control means calculates a change amount or a change speed of the engine negative running from the engine load, and the vehicle speed is lower than a predetermined vehicle speed. Even at this time, when the change amount or the change speed is large, the lock-up clutch is set to the non-direct connection state.
As described above, when the change amount or the change speed of the engine load that is likely to jump into the high load region is large, even if the vehicle speed is lower than the predetermined vehicle speed, the torque converter sets the lock-up clutch to the non-direct connection state. By using the torque amplification of the above, the acceleration (starting performance) is improved.
[0015]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the lock-up clutch control device according to the first aspect, the clutch control means is configured to determine whether the engine speed is equal to or lower than a predetermined value even when the vehicle speed is lower than a predetermined vehicle speed. The lock-up clutch is in a non-direct connection state.
As described above, when the lock-up clutch is engaged when the engine rotation speed is equal to or lower than the predetermined value, torque vibration is transmitted. However, by engaging the lock-up clutch only when the engine rotation speed is higher than the predetermined value, the vibration can be suppressed. Also, stalling can be avoided.

When the process reaches step s1, the latest data is fetched from sensors such as the
In step s2, it is determined whether or not the vehicle speed V is in a vehicle speed regulation region between a lower limit predetermined value A and an upper limit predetermined value B.
[0030]
In this case, for example, 3 km / h is adopted as the predetermined value A on the lower limit side of the travel determination area of the vehicle. The predetermined value B on the upper limit is a threshold value vbkm / h (for example, 20 km / h) between a complete direct coupling control area (or a slip direct coupling control area) which will be described later. The area is set.
If it is determined in step s2 that the vehicle is not in the travel setting range of 3 km / h or more and vbkm / h or less, the process proceeds to step s7, and a start slip control start flag FLG1 described later is reset. Execute lock-up clutch control.
[0031]
When step s3 on the Yes side is reached from step s2, it is determined here whether the accelerator opening APS is in a load setting range between a predetermined value C on the lower limit and a predetermined value D on the upper limit. Here, the predetermined value C on the lower limit side of the load setting region is, for example, the lower limit accelerator opening of the slip extension direct connection region shown in FIG. 3 and is set to increase according to the turbine speed NT. The upper limit predetermined value D is set to the upper limit accelerator opening (for example, accelerator opening 40%) in the slip extension direct connection region in FIG.
[0032]
When the engine load is not in the load setting range, that is, when the engine load is smaller than the predetermined value C, or when the engine load is larger than the predetermined value D (for example, when the accelerator opening exceeds 40%), the above-described operation is performed. Proceeding to step s7, a start slip control start flag FLG1 described later is reset, and lock-up clutch control based on a normal shift map is executed in step s8. Thus, for example, in a high-load operation range where the accelerator opening exceeds 40%, the
[0033]
When step s4, which is the Yes side of step s3, is reached, a change rate △ APS of the accelerator opening, which is the change amount or change speed of the engine negative running, is calculated. It is determined whether or not it is within a predetermined range F of the accelerator opening change rate.
Here, the lower limit predetermined value E and the upper limit predetermined value F are set on the assumption that there is a high possibility that the engine load is out of the load setting range due to a change in the accelerator opening. For example, an appropriate value is set as a value that frequently causes the accelerator opening to exceed the predetermined value D or to fall below the predetermined value C.
[0034]
When the change rate of the accelerator opening is not in the setting range, that is, the engine load may be out of the load setting range (for example, the accelerator opening may exceed the accelerator opening 40% or reach the

When it is determined that the accelerator opening degree is in the change rate setting range and the process reaches step s5 on the Yes side of step s4, the oil temperature T of the
[0036]
When step s6, which is the Yes side of step s5, is reached, it is determined here whether or not the start slip control start flag FLG1 is set. At first, the determination is no, and the process proceeds to step s9.
In step s9, it is determined whether or not the engine speed Ne exceeds a value obtained by adding a correction value α (for example, 100 rpm) for preventing hunting to a predetermined value Ne1 (for example, 1100 rpm). The start flag FLG1 is set, and the process returns to the main routine. If the value is lower than the predetermined value, the process proceeds to step s10, and normal lock-up clutch control is performed.
[0037]
As described above, even when the vehicle speed is in the predetermined vehicle speed range (predetermined value A <vehicle speed <predetermined value B), when the engine rotation speed is equal to or lower than the predetermined value Ne (for example, 1110 rpm), the process proceeds to step s10 to lock. The up
[0038]
After the start slip control start flag FLG1 is set and the process reaches step s6 again, the determination here is Yes and the process proceeds to step s12. Here, it is determined again whether or not the engine speed Ne exceeds a predetermined value Ne (for example, 1100 rpm). If the engine speed Ne exceeds the predetermined value Ne, the process proceeds to step s13. If the engine speed Ne falls below, the process proceeds to steps s7 and s8. It resets, executes normal lock-up clutch control, and returns to the main routine.
If it is determined that the conditions for enabling the slip control in steps s2, s3, s4, s5, and s12 are sequentially satisfied, step s13 is reached.
[0039]
In this step s13, the engine speed Ne has reached the operating range exceeding the predetermined value Ne1, and a target engine speed Neo set in advance is calculated according to the vehicle speed V and the accelerator opening APS as load information. Here, a setting map m1 of the target engine speed Neo shown in FIG. 4 is used. The target engine speed setting map m1 is created such that the target engine speed Neo is set to be larger as the vehicle speed V and the accelerator opening APS increase.
[0040]
Subsequently, in step s14, as shown by the one-dot chain line in FIG. 2, the actual engine speed Nen converges to the target engine speed Neo, that is, the difference ΔNe (= | Ne0−Nen |) is eliminated. Control. In this case, rotation speed feedback control of controlling the engagement state of the lock-up
[0041]
As a result, the actual engine speed Nen is restricted from rising. Moreover, the lock-up
[0042]
The control in step s14 continues, and eventually the vehicle speed V exceeds the upper limit predetermined value B (for example, 20 km / h), or the accelerator opening APS becomes the upper limit predetermined value D (for example, the accelerator opening 40). %) Or the change rate of the accelerator opening △ APS leaves the change rate setting range of the accelerator opening and changes suddenly, and furthermore, the engine speed Ne falls below a predetermined value Ne (for example, 1100 rpm). Assuming that the start slip control enabling condition has been released from steps s2, s3, s4, and s12, the process proceeds to steps s7 and 8, resets the start slip control start flag, and executes normal lock-up clutch control based on the shift map. Return to the main routine.
[0043]
As described above, in the operating range satisfying the start slip control enabling condition, the
[0044]
In the above description, the upper limit predetermined value B (for example, 20 km / h), which is the predetermined vehicle speed used in step s2, is a fixed value. However, in some cases, the predetermined vehicle speed depends on the accelerator opening APS, which is the engine load. It may be set so as to increase, or may be set irrespective of the engine load.
Here, when controlling the engagement state of the lock-up clutch such that the slip speed svt (= Ne−Nt), which is the rotational speed difference between the
[0045]
In the lock-up clutch control device shown in FIG. 1, when it is determined that all of the start slip control enabling conditions in steps s2, s3, s4, s5, and s12 are satisfied, the process reaches step s13, where the vehicle speed V and the accelerator opening APS are reduced. Accordingly, the target engine speed Neo is calculated using the target engine speed Neo setting map m1 so that the actual engine speed Nen converges on the target engine speed Neo, that is, the difference △ Ne (= | Ne0−Nen |). ), The duty ratio of the
Instead of this, the target engine speed Neo may be set simply by using a target engine speed Neo setting map (not shown) that simply sets the target engine speed Neo in accordance with the vehicle speed V. In this case, the control is simplified. Be converted to
[0046]
Further, after all of the start slip control enabling conditions in steps s2, s3, s4, s5, and s12 are satisfied, step s13a (not shown) replaces step s13 with the vehicle speed V and the accelerator opening APS. The target slip speed svto is calculated using the target slip speed setting map m2 shown in FIG. Then, the actual slip speed svt (= Ne−Nt) converges to the target slip speed svto in step s14a (not shown) instead of step s13, that is, the difference △ svt (= | svto−svt |) is set. 【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, when the vehicle speed is lower than the predetermined vehicle speed, the engagement state of the lock-up clutch is set such that the engine rotation speed or the rotation speed difference becomes the target value set based on the vehicle speed and the engine load. By controlling, it is possible to prevent the engine from blowing up, thereby improving fuel efficiency.
[0049]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, when the engine load is larger than a predetermined value, the lockup clutch is set in a non-directly connected state, and the torque amplification of the torque converter is used to improve acceleration (starting performance).

According to the fourth aspect of the invention, when the engine rotation speed is equal to or lower than the predetermined value, the torque oscillation can be suppressed by setting the lock-up clutch to the non-directly connected state. Also, stalling can be avoided.
