以上のように、本実施の形態に係るショーケースによれば、キックプレートとは別体に構成した通気孔カバーに凝縮器用フィルタの保持部を備えたので、通気孔カバーを取り外すことにより、凝縮器用フィルタの着脱を容易に行うことができる。また、凝縮器用フィルタの保持部を、凝縮器側端部の支持片と外気側の仕切片とで構成し、上部側からフィルタの抜き差しを可能としたので、通気孔カバーを完全に取り外すことなく、上部側のみを外して前面側に傾けた状態とすることにより、凝縮器用フィルタの着脱を行うことが可能となる。この際、フィルタ保持部７の上部から突出したフィルタ９Ａ，９Ｂの枠体の上部側端部を持つことにより、手を汚すこと無く、容易にフィルタ９Ａ，９Ｂの引き抜き作業を行うことができる。また、外気取入用ガイド５ｆの上部側とフィルタ９Ａとの間に、仕切片５ｅの厚み分だけ隙間を有しているため、フィルタ９Ａの引き抜きの際にフィルタ９Ａに付着した埃を落とすことがなくなる。
さらに、複数枚のフィルタを着脱可能に保持できることとしたので、ショーケースの設置場所等の条件に応じて、種々のフィルタを組合せて用いることが可能となる。
また、仕切片の外気側に外気取入用ガイドを形成したので、通気孔から吸い込んだ外気をより確実に凝縮器用フィルタへ導風することができる。この場合、外気取入用ガイドを、上部，下部及び左右両側部の４方向を囲むように形成したので、凝縮器を通過した高温の排気を吸込むことなく、通気孔から吸込んだ外気のみを確実にフィルタへ導風することができる。また、上部を塞ぐことにより、凝縮器用フィルタについて外気用ダクト側への入れ間違いを防止することも可能となる。
さらに、通気孔カバーに外気取入用ガイドを形成しているので、通気孔カバーの取外しにより、外気取入用ガイド自体の清掃作業等のメンテナンスが容易となる。

一方、通気孔カバー５の上部側が外された状態では、図５（ｂ）に示すように、溝部１５ｂから支持部材１４の平板部１４ａが引き出され、薄板状に形成された係止部材１５の裏面に係止片１４ｂが係止されることとなる。この場合、通気孔カバー５は、支持部材１４により上部側が開放された状態で支持されることとなるため、通気孔カバー５を手で支えること無く、フィルタ交換作業を行うことが可能となる。従って、メンテナンス作業が容易になるとともに、通気孔カバー５が完全に外れて床に倒れること等による、店舗内の床面又は通気孔カバー５の前面の汚れ，傷等を防止することが可能となる。
