Abstract
Description
【0001】

[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a touch panel used for an electronic organizer, a personal computer, and the like, there is an analog resistance film type touch panel. The configuration of this touch panel is configured such that a lower electrode member having a transparent conductive film on the upper surface of a transparent insulating base material and an upper electrode member having a transparent conductive film on the lower surface of a flexible transparent insulating base material are interposed through a spacer. In general, an end of a flexible printed circuit (FPC) is inserted as a connector between an upper electrode member and a lower electrode member on one side of a touch panel, and the flexible printed The end of the wiring board is thermocompression-bonded with a thermocompression bonding machine using an anisotropic conductive adhesive.
[0003]
However, the end of the flexible printed wiring board is usually inserted 2.0 mm inward from the edge of the panel in order to obtain the adhesion strength of the crimping portion. Moreover, the upper electrode member and the lower electrode member are adhered to each other with a frame-shaped double-sided tape or the like at the peripheral edge portion. It is always provided inside and cannot be omitted. If this is omitted, the amount of air in the space between the electrodes will increase or decrease, causing swelling or Newton's ring, or foreign matter or moisture mixed between the electrodes from the outside of the touch panel, deteriorating the function of the touch panel It is because. Therefore, the sum of the pressure bonding amount of the flexible printed wiring board and the adhesive amount of the double-sided tape or the like is about 3.0 mm, and it becomes impossible to achieve a narrow frame on the side to which the flexible printed wiring board is connected.

[0007]
Originally, the reason why the end of the flexible printed wiring board is inserted and crimped as a connector between the upper electrode member and the lower electrode member in a conventional general touch panel is that the flexible printed wiring board has excellent flexibility and folds. This is because the electronic components can be incorporated in a narrow space in this way, which is suitable for reducing the size and improving the degree of freedom of the shape of a product including a touch panel. On the other hand, the external connection portion of the touch panel disclosed in
[0008]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems, to make it possible to narrow the frame on the four sides of the touch panel, and to contribute to the miniaturization and improvement of the degree of freedom of the shape of the product including the touch panel. It is to provide a touch panel.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a four-sided narrow framed touch panel according to the present invention includes a lower electrode member having a transparent conductive film on an upper surface of a transparent insulating substrate, and a transparent conductive material formed on a lower surface of a flexible transparent insulating substrate. In an analog resistance film type touch panel including an upper electrode member having a film, the upper electrode member and the lower electrode member, the transparent conductive film is provided on the entire surface of one surface of the transparent insulating base material or a predetermined portion, A pair of busbars extending in parallel with each other on the sides of the transparent insulating base material through the transparent conductive film shall be provided, and between the upper electrode member and the lower electrode member, in a frame shape and A circuit sheet is provided on an upper surface and a lower surface of an insulating base material having flexibility in which an external connection portion is integrally protruded outside the frame on one side and provided with a routing circuit connected to the bus bar and led to the external connection portion. Sea urchin was constructed.
[0010]
Further, in the above configuration, the routing circuit of the circuit sheet is formed by a thin metal wire having a wire diameter of 30 to 150 μm.
[0011]
Further, the four-sided narrow frame touch panel according to the present invention includes a lower electrode member having a transparent conductive film on an upper surface of a transparent insulating base material and an upper electrode member having a transparent conductive film on a lower surface of a flexible transparent insulating base material. Wherein the upper electrode member and the lower electrode member are provided with the transparent conductive film on an entire surface or on a predetermined portion of one surface of the transparent insulating base material. Between the electrode member and the lower electrode member, the upper surface and the lower surface of a flexible insulating base material having a frame shape and an external connection portion integrally projecting out of the frame on one side thereof are parallel to the side portions. And a circuit sheet provided with a routing circuit connected to the transparent conductive film through the bus bar and led to an external connection portion.
[0012]

The bus bars 13, 14, 23, 24 and the routing circuits 44, 45, 48, 49 are made of a conductive material obtained by dispersing a metallic filler such as gold, silver, copper, nickel or the like or a conductive filler such as carbon in a resin binder. The paste can be formed by a printing method such as screen printing, offset printing, gravure printing, or flexographic printing, or a brush coating method.
[0023]
Further, the bus bars 13, 14, 23, 24 and the routing circuits 44, 45, 48, 49 can also use only metal materials such as gold, silver, copper, nickel and the like. This
For example, there are electroplating, vacuum evaporation, sputtering, ion plating, CVD, and a method of attaching a metal foil. Since the wiring of the bus bar and the routing circuit is made only of a metal material, even if these are formed thin for the purpose of narrowing the frame, the wiring resistance of the bus bar is smaller than in the case of using a conductive paste, and the wiring of the routing circuit and The difference in position detection between a portion near the connection portion and a portion far from the connection portion is inconspicuous. That is, the linearity is excellent.

Here, gold, silver, copper, nickel and the like can be used as the material of the thin metal wire. The fine metal wire 8 has a wire diameter of 30 to 150 μm. When the wire diameter is less than 30 μm, the cross-sectional area becomes small, and an error in position detection easily occurs on the touch panel. On the other hand, if the wire diameter exceeds 150 μm, the gap between the transparent conductive films 12 and 22 becomes large and input becomes difficult.
[0026]
Further, the fixing of the thin metal wire can be performed by using a thin metal wire whose outer peripheral surface is covered with a conductive hot melt material, and fixing the thin metal wire on the insulating base material 41 by melting and solidifying the hot melt material. Specifically, after arranging a thin metal wire covered with a conductive hot melt material on the insulating base material 41, heating and pressing are performed by a method such as pressing while heating the thin metal wire. Is softened, and the thin metal wire is fixed by the adhesive force of the hot melt material by cooling. As the conductive hot melt material, an adhesive in which particles such as gold, silver, copper, and nickel are dispersed in a synthetic resin such as chloroprene, tin, lead, and an alloy of tin and lead may be used. it can.
[0027]
Further, the fixing of the thin metal wire can also be performed by interposing an adhesive between the thin metal wire and the insulating base material 41. An epoxy resin, an acrylate resin, or the like can be used as the adhesive.
[0028]
Further, the thin metal wire may be fixed by coating the thin metal wire and the insulating base material 41 around the thin metal wire with the adhesive. Specifically, after arranging the thin metal wires on the insulating base material 41, the printing is performed on the thin metal wires and the periphery thereof by a method such as screen printing or direct application by a dispenser, and the insulating base material 41 and the adhesive A metal thin wire is sandwiched between and fixed.

[0039]
(Example 2) An upper electrode member and a lower electrode member are formed by a screen printing method using a silver paste on a pair of bus bars extending parallel to sides of the transparent insulating base material via the transparent conductive film. This was the same as Example 1 except that only a routing circuit connected to the bus bar and led to an external connection portion was provided on both sides of the insulating base material of the circuit sheet.
[0040]
(Example 3) A thin metal wire made of copper having a wire diameter of 100 µm, the outer peripheral surface of which is coated with a conductive hot melt material in which a gold-plated conductive filler is dispersed, is heated to form a hot melt material. Example 1 is the same as Example 1 except that the thin metal wire is fixed on the insulating base material by melting and solidification, and the bus bar and the routing circuit of the circuit sheet are integrally formed.
[0041]
(Example 4) A thin metal wire made of copper having a wire diameter of 100 µm, the outer peripheral surface of which is covered with a conductive hot melt material in which a gold-plated conductive filler is dispersed, is heated to heat the hot melt material. Example 2 was the same as Example 2 except that the thin metal wire was fixed on the insulating base material by melting and solidification, and the circuit drawing circuit of the circuit sheet was integrally formed.

【The invention's effect】
The four-sided narrow-frame touch panel of the present invention has the above-described configuration and operation, and thus has the following effects.
[0044]
That is, the four-sided narrow framed touch panel of the present invention does not require a space for inserting and crimping the end of the flexible printed wiring board as a connector on one side of the touch panel by disposing the circuit sheet having the external connection portion. In addition, it is possible to narrow the frame on the four sides of the touch panel.
[0045]
In addition, since the insulating base of the circuit sheet has flexibility, the external connection unit integrated with the insulating base is folded so that the touch panel and electronic components connected thereto are incorporated in a narrow space. Therefore, it is possible to contribute to miniaturization and improvement of the degree of freedom of the shape of the product including the touch panel.
