ここでは、ピストン推力の上限値を次式から1N(=10Pa・sでの最大液体圧力953kPa×ピストン受圧面積)に設定した。

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a method and apparatus for quantitatively discharging a liquid, which can control a target discharge amount with high accuracy and can effectively prevent dripping.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention according to
[0009]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for discharging a liquid at a constant rate, the liquid container having a discharge nozzle at a distal end portion, the liquid container containing a larger amount of liquid than one discharge amount, and extruding the liquid from the liquid container. A piston, an actuator that drives the piston, a thrust control unit that controls the actuator to control the thrust of the piston to be equal to or less than an upper limit set value within a range not affected by the compressibility of the liquid, and a position of the piston. And a position control means for stopping the actuator when the piston reaches a position corresponding to a predetermined amount of liquid to be discharged.
[0010]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for discharging a fixed amount of a liquid, wherein the liquid container has a discharge nozzle at a distal end portion and contains a larger amount of liquid than one discharge amount, and the liquid is pushed out from the liquid container. A piston, an actuator that drives the piston, a thrust control unit that controls the actuator to keep the thrust of the piston constant within a range not affected by the compressibility of the liquid, and a unit that detects the position of the piston And a position control means for stopping the actuator when the piston reaches a position corresponding to a predetermined discharge amount of the liquid.
[0011]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the liquid is discharged from the liquid container while maintaining the liquid at a liquid pressure that is not affected by the compressibility of the liquid, and the discharge ends when the piston reaches a predetermined position. That is, the end point is detected by the position while performing the pressure control. Therefore, even if there is a change in the fluidity factor such as a change in the viscosity of the liquid, a change in the remaining amount, or a change in the length or diameter of the nozzle, the liquid is discharged at a pressure that is not affected by the compressibility of the liquid. The outflow also stops, and the outflow of the liquid does not continue. Therefore, the target discharge amount can be controlled with high accuracy, and the dripping can be effectively prevented. In addition, it is not necessary to set a time such as a standby time for which it is difficult to set conditions.
[0012]
As a method of discharging while maintaining the liquid pressure not affected by the compressibility of the liquid, there is a method of setting an upper limit set value for the thrust of the piston.
In this case, when the piston thrust reaches the upper limit, the operating speed of the piston is controlled so that the thrust does not exceed the upper limit. Since the upper limit of the pressure in the liquid container is set, the discharge amount does not change due to fluctuations in the pressure in the liquid container or the remaining amount. Further, if the value is equal to or less than the upper limit, variation in thrust is allowed, so that control is simple.
In this case, the total ejection accuracy is ensured, but the ejection speed at low pressure is slow and takes a lot of time, so that the ejection speed becomes large.
[0013]
As another method for discharging while maintaining the liquid pressure which is not affected by the compressibility of the liquid, there is a method for keeping the thrust of the piston constant during the liquid discharging period.
In this method, since the thrust is constant, the degree of influence of the compressibility is always constant, and at the same time, the linearity between the piston movement amount and the discharge amount can be ensured. Can be reduced. In this case, if the piston thrust is set so that the pressure in the liquid container is close to the allowable maximum value, the desired discharge accuracy can be achieved, and the discharge can be performed in the shortest time.
It should be noted that the constant thrust does not mean a strict constant value, and variation within a range relating to necessary ejection accuracy is allowed.
[0014]
The invention according to
The device according to the fourth aspect has an advantage that, as in the case of the second aspect, the desired ejection accuracy is realized and at the same time, the control is simplified. Further, in the device according to the fifth aspect, similarly to the third aspect, it is possible to realize a desired ejection accuracy and to reduce the level of the ejection speed.
[0015]
As the actuator, various actuators such as a combination of an electric motor and a ball screw and a cylinder are conceivable, but a voice coil motor is used as an actuator and an input current of the voice coil motor is controlled as a thrust control unit. It is desirable to use means.
For example, in the case of a combination of an electric motor and a ball screw, it is necessary to provide another pressure sensor to detect the pressure in the liquid container, and it is possible to maintain a constant liquid pressure depending on the detection error of the sensor and the accuracy of motor control. difficult. On the other hand, when a cylinder is used, it is difficult to control the stroke of the cylinder with high precision, and it is difficult to maintain a constant liquid pressure due to a pressure change of a pressure medium for operating the cylinder. .
On the other hand, since the voice coil motor moves straight, no conversion mechanism such as a ball screw is required, and stroke control is simpler than that of a cylinder. Moreover, since the piston thrust can be controlled by the input current value of the voice coil motor, no special sensor is required. Therefore, a fixed amount of liquid can be discharged with an extremely simple configuration.

For example, when parameters are set such that the target discharge amount is set to 100 μg, the piston thrust is set to 2N ± 0.1N, and the piston feed accuracy is set to ± 5 μm, the liquid having a viscosity of 50 Pa · s takes 0.5 sec. Discharge was completed, and discharge was completed in 0.1 sec for a liquid having a viscosity of 1 Pa · s. In this case, a discharge accuracy of ± 2% was realized.
[0022]
FIG. 3 shows ejection amount and pressure data for each viscosity (10 Pa · s, 50 Pa · s) of the liquid when the target ejection amount of the liquid is 10 μg.
Here, the upper limit of the piston thrust was set to 1N (= maximum liquid pressure at 10 Pa · s 953 kPa × piston pressure receiving area) from the following equation.
FIG. 3A shows a change over time in the discharge amount, and FIG. 3B shows a change in pressure inside the liquid container.
As is clear from FIG. 3A, when the viscosity is low (10 Pa · s), the discharge is completed in 0.05 sec, but when the viscosity is high (50 Pa · s), the discharge is completed up to 0.1 sec. The ejection time is long. However, the ejection accuracy can be within ± 5%.
As shown in FIG. 3B, the upper limit value of the pressure is suppressed to a low value (= 953 kPa) regardless of the case where the viscosity is low and the case where the viscosity is high. And the descent time is almost the same. Therefore, dripping from the
Even if there is a change in the fluidity factor such as a longer nozzle or a smaller nozzle diameter, the same ejection accuracy can be ensured.
According to the experiment of the present inventor, even if the viscosity changes in the range of 1 Pa · s to 50 Pa · s, the ejection accuracy could be kept within ± 5%.
[0023]
In the above embodiment, an example in which the piston thrust is controlled to be constant during the liquid discharge period has been described. However, an upper limit set value is provided for the piston thrust, and the piston thrust is allowed to fluctuate unless the set value is exceeded. You may. This upper limit set value is set to a range equal to or less than the upper limit of the pressure in the liquid container which is not affected by the compressibility of the liquid.
In this case, the moving speed of the piston is controlled so that the piston thrust does not exceed the upper limit set value. Accuracy of the entire discharge amount can be secured. However, the discharge speed can be increased or decreased by a change in the pressure in the liquid container (for example, the degree of viscosity).
[0024]
The liquid used in the present invention is not limited to liquid at room temperature, such as silicone oil, conductive paste, sealing resin, cream solder, and ceramic slurry, and is solid at room temperature, but becomes liquid when heated. (For example, wax).
In the fixed-quantity discharge device of the present invention, an on-off valve may be provided at the tip of the nozzle so that the on-off valve is opened at the same time as the operation of the piston is started, and the on-off valve is closed at the same time as the operation of the piston is completed. In this case, dripping can be more reliably prevented.
[0025]
【The invention's effect】
As is apparent from the above description, according to the present invention, the liquid is discharged while controlling the piston thrust so that the liquid pressure is not affected by the compressibility of the liquid, and the position corresponding to the predetermined discharge amount of the liquid is simultaneously determined. Since the position of the piston is controlled in a short time, it is possible to discharge a small amount of liquid with high accuracy without being affected by the compressibility of the liquid due to viscosity, flow path shape, remaining amount, and the like, and to prevent dripping of the liquid.
In addition, since the target discharge amount is discharged as it is, it is not necessary to determine or manage conditions for obtaining the required amount, and it is possible to reduce the number of setup steps.
