本発明は、シロキサン結合を有する耐熱性の含ケイ素ポリマー繊維に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
耐熱性のシリコーン型の含ケイ素樹脂としては、その代表例としてシルセスキオキサンのポリマーの一種であるシリコーンレジンと指称されるものが種々知られており、各種の皮膜形成材料や各種粉末のバインダー、封止材、レジスト材料、電気絶縁材、塗料、プライマー等として用いられている。ところが、従来よりこれらのシリコーンレジンを用いて繊維を製造することは困難であるとされてきた。

先に、本発明者らは、一般式:(HSiO3/2)n で表されるかご型のヒドリドシルセスキオキサン類において、n=8に相当するオクタキス(ヒドリドシルセスキオキサン)、すなわちペンタシクロ[9.5.1.13,9.15,15.17,13]オクタシロキサンと、特定のビニルシロキサン類とを重合させて得られたヒドロシリル化重合体は、有機溶媒可溶であり融点を有するものであること及び窒素雰囲気下に10℃/分の速度で984℃まで加熱した場合の残さ量は、89.3%であり、5%重量減温度Td5は595℃であること、また、空気雰囲気下に同様に加熱した場合にも、983℃で92.4%が残存し、Td5は569℃に達するものであり、耐熱性及び難燃性に優れたポリマーであることを見出し、特許第2979145号(特開2000−154252号公報)を取得した。また、このポリマーを用いた成型体の製造についても、既に特許出願(特願2001−091159号)している。

一方、特開2000−265065号公報及び特開2000−265066号公報には、ペンタシクロ[9.5.1.13,9.15,15.17,13]オクタシロキサンと1,3−ジビニル−1,1,3,3−テトラメチルジシロキサンから得られたヒドロシリル化重合体は、スピンコート法で成膜できるものであること及び2.61〜2.70の誘電率を持つことが開示されている。ところが、これらの重合体を用いた繊維については、未だ全く知られていない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、従来の含ケイ素ポリマーにおける上記した実状に鑑みてなされたものである。すなわち、本発明の目的は、良好な耐熱性及び難燃性を有する含ケイ素ポリマーからなる繊維及びその製造方法を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明者らは、上記の問題点を解決するために、鋭意検討した結果、ヒドリドシルセスキオキサン類とジビニルシロキサン類をヒドロシリル化重合することにより得られるシルセスキオキサン構造を有する含ケイ素ポリマーは、軟化点または融点を有するものであって、特定の用途を持つ繊維を作製できることを見出し、この事実に基づいて、本発明を完成するに至った。

本発明の含ケイ素ポリマー繊維の製造方法は、一般式(1)

そのヒドロシリル化重合体を紡糸して含ケイ素ポリマー繊維を製造する方法としては、ヒドロシリル化重合体を、軟化点または融点以上の温度で加熱溶融させ、次いで溶融紡糸するか、または、ヒドロシリル化重合体を、溶媒中に溶解させて紡糸原液を調整し、次いで得られた紡糸原液から紡糸することが好ましい。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明に用いられる原料のヒドリドシルセスキオキサン類は、一般式(1)

で表される化合物において、nは4〜1000の整数からなるものであり、これを例示すれば、オクタキス(ヒドリドシルセスキオキサン)、デカキス(ヒドリドシルセスキオキサン)、ドデカキス(ヒドリドシルセスキオキサン)、ヒドリドシルセスキオキサンオリゴマー等を挙げることができる。また、これらのヒドリドシルセスキオキサン類は、単独でも或いは2種以上の混合物として用いても良い。

一方、本発明に用いられるジビニルシロキサン類は、一般式(2)

で示される化合物において、R及びR'は、それぞれ置換基を有していても良いアルキル基または置換基を有していても良いアリール基を示し、q及びq'は、それぞれ0または正の整数からなるものである。そのR及びR’の具体例としては、メチル基、エチル基、イソプロピル基、三級ブチル基、ヘキシル基等のアルキル基、フェニル基、トリル基、アニシル基、ナフチル基等のアリール基を挙げることができる。

これらのジビニルシロキサン類を例示すれば、1,3−ジビニルテトラメチルジシロキサン、1,5−ジビニルヘキサメチルトリシロキサン、1,7−ジビニルオクタメチルテトラシロキサン、α,ω−ジビニルポリ(ジメチルシロキサン)、1,3−ジビニルテトラフェニルジシロキサン、1,5−ジビニルヘキサフェニルトリシロキサン、1,7−ジビニルオクタフェニルテトラシロキサン、α,ω−ジビニルポリ(ジフェニルシロキサン)、ビニル末端ジフェニルシロキサン−ジメチルシロキサンコポリマー等を挙げることができる。また、これらのジビニルシロキサン類は、単独でも或いは2種以上の混合物として用いても良い。

本発明は、上記したヒドリドシルセスキオキサン類とジビニルシロキサン類を、ヒドロシリル化反応させて得られるシルセスキオキサン系ポリマーを紡糸することにより含セイ素ポリマー繊維を得るものである。

本発明におけるシルセスキオキサン系ポリマーからなる含セイ素ポリマー繊維の製造方法は、特に制限されるものではなく、通常の溶融紡糸法及び湿式紡糸法が採用できる。その紡糸法としては、上記ポリマーを、軟化点または融点以上の温度に加熱溶融し、次いでその溶融液を用いて紡糸することにより、または、溶媒中に溶解させて紡糸原液を調整し、次いでその紡糸原液から紡糸することにより容易に繊維を得ることができる。

加熱溶融する際の加熱温度は、用いるシルセスキオキサン系ポリマーの軟化点または融点以上の温度であれば良いが、操作性等を考慮すると50〜250℃の温度範囲が望ましい。

溶媒中に溶解して紡糸原液を調整する際に使用する溶媒には、上記ポリマーを溶解し得る溶媒で有れば、何ら制限無く使用可能であって、種々の溶媒を用いることができる。このような溶媒の例としては、トルエン、ベンゼン、ヘキサン、エーテル、テトラヒドロフラン、クロロベンゼン、メチルエチルケトン、ヘキサメチルジシロキサン等が挙げられる。
