Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a fuel injection nozzle, and more particularly to a fuel injection nozzle suitable as a fuel injection nozzle for a diesel engine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art As a conventional fuel injection nozzle, one having a nozzle body and a nozzle valve is known (for example, see Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H7-119582).
[0003]
The nozzle body is substantially cylindrical with a bottom. A spray hole is formed at the tip of the nozzle body, and a conical nozzle body side sheet surface is formed inside the tip of the nozzle body.
[0004]
The nozzle valve is slidably housed in the nozzle body. A first conical surface and a second conical surface are formed at the tip of the nozzle valve. The second conical surface is located closer to the spray hole than the first conical surface. The boundary between the first conical surface and the second conical surface contacts the nozzle body side seat surface. Then, a contact portion between the boundary portion between the first conical surface and the second conical surface and the seat surface on the nozzle body side serves as a seal portion for preventing the flow of fuel.
[0005]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-7-195882 (paragraphs 0016 to 18, FIG. 1)
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The supply and stop of the fuel to the combustion chamber are performed with the boundary portion between the first conical surface and the second conical surface contacting or separating from the nozzle body side seat surface. The nozzle body side seat surface gradually wears.
[0007]
Before the nozzle body-side seat surface wears, the boundary between the first conical portion and the second conical portion makes line contact with the nozzle body-side seat surface. The boundary between the two conical surfaces makes surface contact with the nozzle body side sheet surface. As a result, the portion of the second conical portion that is in contact with the nozzle body side sheet surface and is closest to the spray hole becomes the seal portion.
[0008]
That is, the seal portion is located on the boundary between the first conical surface and the second conical surface before the nozzle body side seat surface wears, but the nozzle portion moves on the second conical surface as the nozzle body side seat surface wears. Move toward the tip of the body (toward the spray hole). As described above, when the seal moves on the second conical surface toward the tip of the nozzle body, the diameter of an imaginary circle formed by the seal, that is, the seal diameter gradually decreases.
[0009]
As the seal diameter decreases, the pressure receiving area for receiving the fuel pressure in the direction separating the nozzle valve from the nozzle body side seat surface increases in inverse proportion thereto.
[0010]
When the pressure receiving area becomes large in this way, the valve opening pressure of the fuel injection nozzle becomes small, and the time during which the fuel injection nozzle is open becomes long, so that excessive fuel is supplied to the combustion chamber and incomplete combustion may occur. is there.
[0011]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a fuel injection nozzle that can maintain the valve opening pressure substantially constant even when used for a long period of time.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a fuel injection nozzle including a nozzle body having a conical nozzle body-side seat surface, and a nozzle valve slidably housed in the nozzle body. In the fuel injection nozzle, the nozzle valve has a conical portion, a flat surface or a concave surface is formed at a tip of the conical portion, and a boundary between the outer peripheral surface of the conical portion and the flat surface or the concave surface is the nozzle body. It is characterized by contacting the side sheet surface.
[0013]
Since the flat surface or the concave surface is formed at the tip of the conical portion as described above, when the nozzle body side sheet surface is worn, the flat surface or the concave surface comes into surface contact with the nozzle body side sheet surface, and the flat surface or the concave surface is formed. A seal portion is formed at the innermost portion of the portion in contact with the nozzle body side seat surface. If the wear depth of the nozzle body side seat surface is the same, the reduction ratio of the seal diameter due to the wear of the nozzle body side seat surface is determined by the difference between the nozzle valve side seal surface and the nozzle body side seat surface. The smaller the angle, the larger. The angle between the flat surface or the concave surface and the nozzle body side seat surface is significantly larger than the conventional angle between the second conical surface and the nozzle body side seat surface. Therefore, the fuel injection nozzle of the first aspect of the present invention is less likely to have a smaller seal diameter than the conventional one.
[0014]
A fuel injection nozzle according to a second aspect of the present invention is the fuel injection nozzle, comprising: a nozzle body having a conical nozzle body side seat surface; and a nozzle valve slidably housed in the nozzle body. The nozzle valve has a cylindrical portion that can contact the nozzle body side seat surface, and a flat surface or a concave surface is formed at a tip of the cylindrical portion.
[0015]
As described above, since the flat surface or the concave surface is formed at the tip of the cylindrical portion, the angle formed by the flat surface or the concave surface and the nozzle body side seat surface is formed by the conventional second conical surface and the nozzle body side seat surface. Significantly larger than the angle. Therefore, the fuel injection nozzle of the second aspect of the present invention is less likely to have a smaller seal diameter than the conventional one.
[0016]
According to a third aspect of the invention, in the fuel injection nozzle according to the first or second aspect, when the nozzle body side seat surface is worn on the flat surface or the concave surface, contact with the nozzle body side seat surface can be avoided. A projection having a shape is provided.
[0017]
Since the protrusions are provided as described above, the volume of the space formed between the flat surface or the concave surface and the nozzle body side sheet surface is reduced by the protrusions.
[0018]
A fuel injection nozzle according to a fourth aspect of the present invention is the fuel injection nozzle according to the first, second or third aspect, wherein an annular projection is provided on an outer peripheral portion of the flat surface or the concave surface.
[0019]
As described above, since the annular projection is provided on the outer peripheral portion of the flat portion or the concave surface, the seal portion does not move radially inward of the inner peripheral edge of the annular projection even if the wear of the nozzle body side seat surface progresses. . Therefore, the reduction of the seal diameter due to the wear of the nozzle body side seat surface is further reduced.
