ＦＡＸや、ＦＡＸ機能と複写機能を兼備するような画像形成装置等、通信機能を有する装置においては、ワンタッチで所望する相手先と通信状態となるように、相手先の電話（ファクシミリ）番号を登録できるワンタッチダイヤルキーを装備している。送信先が多ければ、それだけ多数のワンタッチダイヤルキーが必要となるが、平面的な配設スペースの制約から、各１個のキーに対して複数の送信先を登録できるようにし、キーパネル上にキーを露出させる孔を具備するキーパネルを設け、前記キーパネルの一側部を回動支点軸として両側に回動可能とし、いずれの側にキーパネルを開いたかにより、キー切替えスイッチが切り替わり、キーの登録先に対応する送信相手先を容易に選択することができるようにしている。前記ＦＡＸに設けるワンタッチダイヤル機構においては、例えば、２枚のキーパネルを配置すると、前記パネルを使用しない状態での２つのパネル面と、２枚の開閉可能なキーパネルの表裏面とを使用できるので、利用可能なダイヤル面を６面に設定できる。そして、前記複数枚のキーパネルのうちから任意のものを対象として選択することにより、非常に多数の宛先のキーを送信先として設定でき、任意の送信相手先に向けての送信を容易に行い得るようにしている（例えば、特許文献１を参照）。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
近年のＦＡＸ等の装置は小型化する傾向にあり、コントロールパネルに設けられるワンタッチダイヤル部も、装置本体の小型化に応じて小さく形成されることが多くあり、前記ワンタッチダイヤル部に配置されるパネル選択部では、キーパネルも薄いものとして形成される。ところが、前記キーパネルを薄くて小型のものとして構成する場合には、そのキーパネルの開閉のために用いる舌片は、非常にめくり難いものとなっていて、オペレータが誤操作するという問題が発生しやすい。

【発明の実施の形態】
図示される例にしたがって、本発明の実施例を説明する。図１に示す例は、一般的に使用されるＦＡＸ（ファクシミリ装置）の構成を説明するもので、上部にＡＤＦ（自動原稿搬送装置）２を設け、中央部に電子写真方式を用いた記録部５を、下部に給紙カセット６を装着する給紙部を設けたＦＡＸ１として構成している。前記ＦＡＸ１の上部に配置しているＡＤＦ２は、原稿トレイ３にセットした原稿を１枚ずつ読取部に向けて送り、読み取った原稿を排出トレイ４に排出させることも、一般的なＦＡＸと同様に構成される。また、前記ＦＡＸ１には、前記ＡＤＦ機能に加えて、ＦＢＳ（フラットベッドスキャナ）機能を設けておき、ブックものの原稿の読取にも適用させ得ることも、従来のＦＡＸまたは複写機と複合した装置の場合と同様に構成が可能である。

前記ＦＡＸ１においては、装置の動作の制御を行うために、コントロールパネル１０を備えており、前記コントロールパネル１０においては、一般的なＦＡＸや画像形成装置の場合と同様に、操作ボタン１２、機能選択ボタン１３やスタートボタン１４の他に、テンキー１５等を配置している。そして、前記キー類を用いて設定した操作内容は、ディスプレイ１１に表示することにり、オペレータが容易に確認できるようにされる。前記ボタン・キー類の他に、ファクシミリ送信に際して使用する短縮ダイヤル番号を設定するために、後述するようなパネル選択部２０を設けている。

図２、３に説明する前記パネル選択部２０は、コントロールパネル１０では、ワンタッチダイヤル部に多数配置している短縮キーに対して、複数枚のキーパネルを支軸を介して開閉可能に設けているもので、前記パネル選択部２０は、支軸２１に支持されたキーパネル２２、２４、２６を重ねた状態に設けている。前記ワンタッチダイヤル部１６の基板１７には、多数の短縮キー１８……を所定の配列順序にしたがって配置し、各短縮キー１８……に対して１個の電話番号を設定する。また、前記各短縮キー１８の各々に対応させて、キーパネル２１の表面もしくは裏面を使用する場合にはその裏面にも、送信先の会社名等を表示するラベルを貼り付けて表示する。前記ラベル等は、設定した短縮ダイヤル番号に対応させて表示するもので、その短縮ダイヤル番号等の表示に合わせて制御部に電話番号を入力する。

なお、前記パネル選択部の構成の例は、複写機とファクシミリ装置を複合した画像形成装置のコントロールパネルに設けることが可能であり、ＦＡＸ専用機の他に、パネル選択部を必要とする画像形成装置に設けることが可能である。また、前記パネル選択部の各実施例では、キーパネルを支持する支軸の両側に短縮キーを配置するものとして説明したが、コントロールパネルのリヤ側に支軸を設けて、前記キーパネルを支持するように構成して、ワンタッチダイヤル部を用いる場合には、キーパネルを上に立て掛けるように開いて短縮キーに対応させるものとして構成することも可能であり、特にそのキーパネルの開閉機構と、重ねて配置するキーパネルの枚数等は限定されるものではない。

【発明の効果】
前述したように構成したことにより、パネル選択部に配置するキーパネルが薄くて小型のものであっても、キーパネルの舌片に指をかけやすく、誤操作を防止できる。そして、使用頻度の高いキーパネルに対しては、サイズを大きくした、または大きく突出させた、もしくは段差を大きくした舌片を、フロント側に突出させて設けることで、パネル選択部でのキーパネルの操作性をより向上させることができる。
