Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a power converter.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a power converter used for variable speed control of an electric motor or the like, AC power from a three-phase AC power supply is converted into DC power by a converter, and this DC power is further converted into AC power of a variable frequency by an inverter. In the inverter, the frequency is controlled by Pulse Width Modulation (hereinafter referred to as PWM) control. From the viewpoint of energy saving, the converter is also subjected to PWM control in order to transmit electric power regenerated from the electric motor side to the power supply side.
[0003]
As such a power conversion device, there is one described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 4-121065.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The PWM carrier signals in the converter and the inverter are synchronized to suppress the zero-phase current that flows between the converter and the inverter and causes power loss. In order to synchronize the PWM carrier signal, in the power conversion device described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 4-121065, one PWM carrier signal generator is provided separately from the converter and the inverter, and the converter and the converter are provided from the same PWM carrier signal generator. The PWM carrier signal is sent to both the inverters so that the PWM carrier signals of the converter and the inverter are substantially synchronized. However, since the PWM carrier signal generator is provided separately from the converter and the inverter, there are problems such as complicated wiring and signals.
[0005]
Therefore, the present invention provides a power converter capable of synchronizing control signals of a converter and an inverter by a relatively simple method.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the power converter according to the present invention, the phase of one of the carrier signals on the converter side and the inverter side is adjusted to match this phase reference with the other being the phase reference.
[0007]
In another power converter according to the present invention, the phase of one of the carrier signals on the converter side and the inverter side is adjusted so that the difference between the two carrier signals approaches zero.
[0008]
In these power converters, since the phase of one carrier signal is adjusted using the other carrier signal, both carrier signals can be synchronized by a relatively simple method.
[0009]
Other features of the present invention will become apparent from the description below.
[0010]

When the difference calculation is repeated and the difference between the carrier signals becomes substantially zero, the carrier signals of the converter and the inverter are synchronized (
[0019]
According to the above embodiment, since the phase of one carrier signal is adjusted based on the phase relationship with the other carrier signal, both carrier signals can be synchronized with relatively high accuracy by a relatively simple method. .
[0020]
In the above embodiment, the carrier signal on the converter side is used as the phase reference, but the phase of the carrier signal on the converter side may be adjusted using the carrier signal on the inverter side as the phase reference. In addition, the carrier signal and the PWM signal can be generated by either an analog circuit or a digital circuit, or can be generated by software using a microcomputer. Further, the load of the power conversion device is not limited to the elevator motor, and various loads using AC power can be applied.
[0021]
The configuration of the above embodiment can be variously modified within the scope of the technical idea of the present invention.
[0022]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the control signals of the converter and the inverter can be synchronized by a relatively simple method.
