Abstract
Description
【0001】
かかるスペクトル拡散通信方式を用いた符号分割多重接続方式では、非同期CDMA(A−CDMA:Asynchronous−CDMA)方式や直交SS通信方式を用いた同期CDMA(S−CDMA:Synchronous−CDMA)方式が、従来から一般的に使用されている。
【0003】
Gordon et al. ,“Some new difference sets”, Canada. J. Math.
こうして生成される新たな系列群に属する系列(以下、「GG系列」と呼ぶ)の数は、GMW系列の数よりも飛躍的に多い(「Biqi Long et al. ,“A generalized QS−CDMA system and the design of new spreading code”, IEEE Trans. VT, vol.47, no.4, Nov. 1998」参照)。
【0010】

Gordon et al.,“Some new difference sets”, Canada. J. Math.

Δtumax = Tmd + Tpd + Tje …(1)
BFS(MFS)=BSS’(MSS’)−BFS’(MFS’)
…(2)
BSS(MSS)=BFS’(MFS’) …(3)

Tc=(Tb/N)×M …(4)
L1=<Δtumax/Tc> …(5)
L2=<Tmd/Tc> …(6)
【0073】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a communication method and a communication system, and more particularly, to a communication method and a communication system for performing code division multiplex communication using a spread spectrum method.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Code division multiple access (CDMA) using a spread spectrum (SS) communication system is used for mobile communication by a mobile phone or the like. In a code division multiple access system using such a spread spectrum communication system, an asynchronous CDMA (A-CDMA: Asynchronous-CDMA) system and a synchronous CDMA (S-CDMA: Synchronous-CDMA) system using an orthogonal SS communication system are conventionally used. Commonly used from
[0003]
Among such systems, in the asynchronous CDMA system, since there is a cross-correlation between spread codes for identifying users, interference between other stations occurs between spread spectrum signals of respective users performing simultaneous communication, and interference with signals of other users occurs. Interference and crosstalk occur. Such interference and crosstalk hinder synchronization and demodulation of a desired station signal, and thus cause a reduction in frequency use efficiency.
[0004]
On the other hand, in the synchronous CDMA system using the orthogonal SS communication system, the spread spectrum signals of each user are orthogonal to each other. For this reason, since the cross-correlation between spreading codes can be made zero, interference between other stations is eliminated, and it is expected that the frequency use efficiency will be significantly improved. In the synchronous CDMA system using the orthogonal SS communication system, perfect synchronous access is assumed. However, if there is a deviation in synchronous access, the characteristics will be significantly deteriorated. By the way, in a general wireless communication system, it is very difficult to realize perfect synchronous access because there are time jitter, radio wave propagation delay, delay time difference in multiplex wave propagation, and the like. If the delay time difference in multiplex wave propagation becomes significantly small, it becomes impossible to use multipath diversity, which is one of the most important features of the spread spectrum communication system.
[0005]
For this reason, quasi-synchronous CDMA (QS-CDMA: Quasi-Synchronous CDMA) having a certain tolerance for the shift of synchronous access has been proposed and attracted attention ("Kuno et al .: Using a Binary Shift Register Sequence"). Semi-synchronous CDMA method, IEICE Transactions A, vol. J97-A, no. 1, pp 105-114, January 1996 "). In such a quasi-synchronous CDMA system, a spread code having a small cross-correlation is used even if there is a certain degree of timing deviation of synchronous access. As a spreading code for such a quasi-synchronous CDMA system, a GMW sequence (Gordon-Mills-Welch sequence; “B. Gordon et al.,“ Some new difference sets ””, Canada. J. Math., Vol. 14, pp 614- 625, 1984 "), and it is known that a GMW sequence code generated from the same primitive polynomial is particularly suitable.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, the quasi-synchronous CDMA system basically has excellent characteristics as a CDMA system using spread spectrum, but there are some technical problems to be solved in implementing the CDMA system. One of the problems is improvement of multiplicity (communication channel capacity).
[0007]
In other words, in order to improve the multiplicity, it is necessary to prepare many spreading codes having a small cross-correlation with each other, but the GMW sequences generated from the same primitive polynomial described above have cross-correlation at most phases. Small, but very few. For this reason, it has been difficult to improve the multiplicity required in recent CDMA systems.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and provides a communication method capable of performing communication by a CDMA method using a spread spectrum method while securing multiplicity even when there is a certain degree of timing deviation of synchronous access. And a communication system.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the knowledge obtained by the present inventors from the results of many years of research, although the number of GMW sequences having a small cross-correlation generated from the same primitive polynomial is small, at least one of the GMW sequences selected from such a group of GMW sequences is small. Are appropriately cyclically shifted to give a predetermined phase difference between the two GMW sequences, and then exclusive-ORed to obtain a new group of groups having a small cross-correlation even if the synchronous access timing is shifted. Can be generated. The predetermined phase difference is determined according to the number of chips in one cycle of the original GMW sequence, and a plurality of phase differences can be set. The number of sequences (hereinafter, referred to as “GG sequences”) belonging to the new sequence group generated in this manner is significantly larger than the number of GMW sequences (“Biqi Long et al.,“ A generalized QS-CDMA system ”). and the design of new spreading code ", IEEE Trans. VT, vol. 47, no. 4, Nov. 1998").
[0010]
Also, according to the latest knowledge obtained by the present inventors, even if two arbitrary GMW sequences are selected from a group of GMW sequences generated from the same primitive polynomial to generate a plurality of GG sequence groups, the GG sequence Cross-correlation between groups is not always small. To surely reduce the cross-correlation between the GG sequence groups is to fix one of two GMW sequences selected from a group of GMW sequences generated from the same primitive polynomial, change the other, and change the two GMW sequences. Can be achieved by providing a phase difference between the GG sequence groups obtained for each pair of. The number of sequences generated in this way is much larger than the number of GG sequences belonging to one GG sequence group. According to the latest knowledge obtained by the inventor, GG sequences obtained by cyclically shifting sequences belonging to one GG sequence group by the same shift amount have a small cross-correlation with each other, and also have a low correlation before the cyclic shift. Mutual correlation between sequences belonging to the GG sequence group is small. According to this method as well, it is possible to generate a sequence having a smaller cross-correlation with each other than the number of GG sequences belonging to one GG sequence group. The present invention has been made based on such findings.
[0011]
That is, the communication method of the present invention is a communication method for performing communication by a code division multiple access method using a spread spectrum method, wherein a value of a first number parameter obtained in advance according to a predetermined primitive polynomial, A parameter for designating a new set from among a plurality of sets of a second number parameter value, a first shift amount parameter value, and a second shift amount parameter value different from the first number parameter value A value specifying step; a first GMW sequence generating step of generating a first GMW sequence using the predetermined primitive polynomial in accordance with the value of the specified first number parameter; and the specified second number A second GMW sequence generating step of generating a second GMW sequence using the predetermined primitive polynomial according to the value of the parameter; and the first GMW sequence according to the value of the specified first shift amount parameter. After providing a phase difference between a GMW sequence and the second GMW sequence, an exclusive OR of values at respective positions in the two GMW sequences provided with the phase difference is calculated to generate a specific sequence. A specific sequence generation step; and a spread code generation for generating a quasi-synchronous spread code for spread spectrum based on a code obtained by cyclically shifting the specific sequence according to the value of the specified second shift amount parameter. And a transmitting step of transmitting a signal spread spectrum using the quasi-synchronous spreading code.
[0012]
In this communication method, first, in the parameter value specifying step, the value of the first number parameter and the value of the second number parameter specifying two different GMW sequences, and the specific sequence (the above-described new sequence) GG sequence) and the value of the second shift amount parameter used for the cyclic shift of the generated specific sequence are specified. At the time of setting such parameters, based on the knowledge of the inventor described above, a required number of sets of the above four parameter values that have been obtained in advance according to a predetermined primitive polynomial are used at that time. Specify a pair that does not exist.
[0013]
Next, in a first GMW sequence generation step, a first GMW sequence is generated using a predetermined primitive polynomial according to the value of the designated first number parameter. Further, in the second GMW sequence generation step, a second GMW sequence is generated using a predetermined primitive polynomial used for generating the first GMW sequence according to the value of the designated second number parameter. .
[0014]
Next, in the specific sequence generation step, a phase difference is provided between the first GMW sequence and the second GMW sequence according to the value of the designated first shift amount parameter, and then the phase difference is provided. A specific sequence is generated by calculating the exclusive OR of the values at each position in the two GMW sequences. Subsequently, in the spreading code generation step, the quasi-synchronization for spectrum spreading is performed based on the code obtained by cyclically shifting the specific sequence generated in the specific sequence generation step in accordance with the value of the designated second shift amount parameter. A spreading code is generated. Then, in the transmitting step, a signal subjected to spectrum spreading using the quasi-synchronous spreading code generated in the spreading code generating step is transmitted.
[0015]
As a result, even when many users perform simultaneous communication, a spreading code having a small cross-correlation with a spreading code allocated to another user for each user and having high tolerance for a timing shift of synchronous access is allocated. be able to. Therefore, according to the communication method of the present invention, it is possible to perform communication by the CDMA method using the spread spectrum method while securing the multiplicity even if there is a certain timing shift of the synchronous access.
[0016]
According to the communication method of the present invention, in the spreading code generation step, a code obtained by cyclically shifting a specific sequence according to the designated second shift amount parameter can be directly used as a quasi-synchronous spreading code. Adding one 0 to a code obtained by cyclically shifting a specific sequence, and adding a value of the first number parameter, a value of the second number parameter, a value of the first shift amount parameter, and The quasi-synchronous spreading codes generated when at least one of the values of the two shift amount parameters are different from each other may be orthogonalized to each other. In such a case, the cross-correlation between the quasi-synchronous spreading codes when there is almost no shift in the timing of the synchronous access is further reduced as compared with the case where the code obtained by cyclically shifting the specific sequence is used as it is as the quasi-synchronous spreading code. Can be done.
[0017]
Further, the communication method of the present invention may further include a despreading step of receiving the signal transmitted in the transmitting step and despreading the received signal based on the quasi-synchronous spreading code. it can.
[0018]
Further, in the communication method of the present invention, at least one of the value of the first number parameter and the value of the second number parameter can be a fixed value.
[0019]
The communication system of the present invention is a communication system that performs communication by a code division multiple access method between devices each having a transmission unit and a reception unit by using a spread spectrum method, wherein each of the transmission units has a predetermined The value of the first number parameter, the value of the second number parameter different from the value of the first number parameter, the value of the first shift amount parameter, and the second shift amount obtained in advance according to the primitive polynomial Parameter value designating means for designating a new set from among a plurality of sets of parameter values; a first GMW sequence using the predetermined primitive polynomial according to the value of the designated first number parameter. First GMW sequence generating means for generating; and second GMW sequence generating means for generating a second GMW sequence using the predetermined primitive polynomial in accordance with the value of the specified second number parameter. Means for providing a phase difference between the first GMW sequence and the second GMW sequence according to the value of the designated first shift amount parameter, Specific sequence generating means for generating a specific sequence by combining two GMW sequences; and a spread spectrum based on a code obtained by cyclically shifting the specific sequence according to the value of the specified second shift amount parameter. A spread code generating means for generating a quasi-synchronous spreading code for use; and a transmitting means for transmitting a signal spread spectrum using the quasi-synchronous spreading code.
[0020]
In this communication system, first, the parameter value specifying means specifies a value of a first number parameter, a value of a second number parameter, a value of a first shift amount parameter, and a value of a second shift amount parameter. Next, the first GMW sequence generation unit generates a first GMW sequence using a predetermined primitive polynomial according to the value of the specified first number parameter, and the second GMW sequence generation unit specifies the first GMW sequence. The second GMW sequence is generated using a predetermined primitive polynomial used for generating the first GMW sequence according to the value of the second number parameter.
[0021]
Then, after the specific sequence generation means has given a phase difference between the first GMW sequence and the second GMW sequence according to the value of the designated first shift amount parameter, the phase difference has been given. An exclusive OR of the values at each position in the two GMW sequences is calculated to generate a specific sequence. Subsequently, the spread code generation means performs quasi-synchronization for spectrum spreading based on a code obtained by cyclically shifting the specific sequence generated by the specific sequence generation means in accordance with the value of the designated second shift amount parameter. Generate a spreading code. Then, the transmitting means transmits a signal which has been spread spectrum using the quasi-synchronous spreading code generated by the spreading code generating means.
[0022]
That is, in the communication system of the present invention, communication can be performed using the communication method of the present invention. Therefore, according to the communication system of the present invention, it is possible to perform communication by the CDMA system using the spread spectrum method while securing the multiplicity even when there is a certain degree of timing deviation of the synchronous access.
[0023]
In the communication system of the present invention, each receiving unit receives a signal transmitted by the transmitting unit of the communication partner and includes a despreading unit that despreads the received signal based on the quasi-synchronous spreading code. It can be.

As described above, according to the present embodiment, based on a plurality of GMW sequences generated from the same primitive polynomial, it is possible to generate a large number of spread codes having a small cross-correlation with each other. From among them, a unique spreading code is assigned to each mobile station to which the base station wirelessly connects, and code multiplexing connection is performed by a spread spectrum method. Therefore, it is possible to perform communication by the CDMA method using the spread spectrum method while securing the multiplicity even if there is a certain degree of timing deviation of the synchronous access.
[0059]
In the first embodiment, the spreading code (and the despreading code) to be used is the same number of chips as the GMW sequence generated by using a predetermined primitive polynomial, and orthogonalization between codes is not particularly performed. However, by adding one “0” to the end of the spreading code (and despreading code) in the above embodiment, orthogonalization between generated codes can be achieved. In such a case, it is possible to further reduce the cross-correlation between the quasi-synchronous spreading codes when there is almost no shift in the timing of the synchronous access as compared with the case where the spreading code (and the despreading code) in the above embodiment is employed. it can. In performing such a modification, “0” may be added in the second
[0060]
In the first embodiment, the second number parameter BSN (MSN) is variable, but may be a fixed value. In such a case, the first shift amount parameter BFS (MFS) is made variable so that a group of new sequences (GG sequences) can be generated, and within the allowable range of the timing shift of the synchronous access, If the sequences belonging to the group are cyclically shifted by changing the second shift amount parameter BSS (MSS), it is possible to generate many types of spreading codes having a small cross-correlation with each other. In this case, it is possible to sequentially set the second shift amount parameter BSS (MSS) so that the phase between the codes cyclically shifted according to the second shift amount parameter BSS (MSS) becomes as large as possible. preferable.

Further, instead of the configuration of the

If the following equations (2) and (3) are satisfied, the code generator 35 'operates in the same manner as the
BFS (MFS) = BSS ′ (MSS ′) − BFS ′ (MFS ′)

BSS (MSS) = BFS ′ (MFS ′) (3)

<< 2nd Embodiment >>
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The present embodiment employs a quasi-synchronous multi-carrier spectrum CDMA (MC-DS-CDMA: Multi-Carrier Direct Spread CDMA) system and has a rake receiving function of receiving a multipath signal and performing rake (RAKE) combining. Thus, the configuration of the

[0070]
In the present embodiment for performing communication in this manner, the chip interval (Tc: Chip Duration) of the spreading code SC is expressed by the following equation (4).
Tc = (Tb / N) × M (4)
Here, Tb is the interval between input information bits, N is the number of chips of the spreading code, and M is the number of subcarriers. When M is 1, a single carrier system is obtained.
[0071]
Then, the timing shift as a chip interval unit is given by the following equation (5).
L 1 = <Δtu max / Tc> ... (5)
Here, Δtu max Is as defined by the formula (1), and <X> represents an integer larger than X.
[0072]
The maximum number of paths that can be multipathed is given by the following equation (6).
L 2 = <Tmd / Tc> (6)
[0073]
As described above, in this embodiment, as in the case of the first embodiment, it is possible to generate a large number of spreading codes each having a small mutual correlation based on a plurality of GMW sequences generated from the same primitive polynomial. From the group of these spreading codes, a unique spreading code is assigned to each mobile station to which the base station wirelessly connects, and code multiplexing is performed by a spread spectrum method. Therefore, it is possible to perform communication by the CDMA method using the spread spectrum method while securing the multiplicity even if there is a certain degree of timing deviation of the synchronous access.
[0074]
Further, the timing deviation L 1 Must be kept within the allowable range of the quasi-synchronous spreading code SC, and the multipath number L 2 Must be equal to or greater than “1”. However, when a quasi-synchronous multi-carrier direct CDMA (MC-DS-CDMA) scheme is adopted as in the present embodiment, information transfer in a mobile communication system in recent years is considered. Even if the information bit interval Tb is shortened due to the increase in the rate, the system design becomes easy.
[0075]
That is, when the information bit interval Tb becomes short, in the case of a single carrier system, the timing shift L 1 However, in the case of a multi-carrier as in the present embodiment, the timing deviation L is adjusted by adjusting the number M of subcarriers. 1 Can be set to an appropriate range. The quasi-synchronous MC-DS-CDMA system designed in this way has low interference due to the cross-correlation characteristics of quasi-synchronous spreading codes, has a large system capacity due to a large number of spreading codes, and has an anti-feature in multipath diversity. It has a characteristic that it has anti-fading characteristics.
[0076]
In this embodiment, the
[0077]
Also, in the first embodiment, similarly to the second embodiment, a configuration having a rake receiving function of receiving a multipath signal and performing rake (RAKE) combining can be adopted.
[0078]
In addition, it is needless to say that various modifications can be made to each of the above-described embodiments within the scope of the present invention within a range possible by those skilled in the art.
[0079]
【The invention's effect】
As described above in detail, according to the communication method of the present invention, it is possible to perform communication by the CDMA method using the spread spectrum method while securing the multiplicity even if there is a certain degree of synchronization access timing deviation. .
[0080]
Further, according to the communication system of the present invention, communication can be performed using the communication method of the present invention. Communication by the CDMA system.
