TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a printed wiring board, and in particular, in a printed wiring board in which an insertion component to be mounted on the printed wiring board is soldered and connected with lead-free solder, land peeling due to thermal stress without reducing wiring density or soldering strength. The present invention relates to a land structure of a printed wiring board for preventing the problem.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Solder has been used for many years to connect printed wiring boards and insertion parts, but lead is contained in the solder (hereinafter referred to as "leaded solder"), which has a bad effect on the human body It is known. For this reason, lead-free solders that do not contain lead have recently been developed and have begun to be used in consumer products such as notebook PCs and refrigerators as environmentally friendly products that are friendly to people and the earth.
[0003]
Lead-free solder is roughly classified into three types: a high-temperature type having a higher melting point than the conventional leaded solder, a medium-temperature type having a lower melting point than the high-temperature type, and a low-temperature type having a melting point equivalent to that of the conventional leaded solder. Lead-free solders generally have higher strength than leaded solders, but have poor ductility, and the difference between the material used for printed wiring boards and the coefficient of thermal expansion of lead-free solders is greater than that of leaded solders. The ductility and coefficient of thermal expansion of the solder have a close relationship with the shrinkage of the printed wiring board that occurs during soldering.
[0004]
When solder connection is made, peeling of the land becomes a problem. That is, the thermal expansion coefficients of the printed wiring board and the land and the lead-free solder are different from each other, and the printed wiring board and the square land have a faster shrinkage than the lead-free solder. Due to this difference in shrinkage speed and the poor ductility of the lead-free solder itself, stress concentrates on the lands formed on the printed wiring board. This stress is larger than the adhesive strength between the printed wiring board and the land formed on the printed wiring board, and the land is peeled off from the printed wiring board, causing land peeling. In particular, when the land has a quadrangular shape, a phenomenon that the corner of the land is isolated frequently occurs.
[0005]
Then, as a method of suppressing land peeling of a printed wiring board, there is a technique disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-332851. In this technique, the entire periphery of a circular land formed on a printed wiring board is coated with a solder resist formed on the surface of the printed wiring board. With such a configuration, the configuration is such that land separation is prevented.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, this technique has a problem when the distance between the land and the through hole formed in the printed wiring board is small. That is, there is a problem that the clearance between the through-hole on the printed wiring board and the solder resist cannot be sufficiently secured by the coated solder resist. As a result, the gap between the land and the solder resist that occurs during the manufacture of the printed wiring board causes the solder resist to enter the through-hole of the printed wiring board, and the lead-free solder is not connected to the land, resulting in a decrease in soldering strength. .
[0007]
As described above, the suppression of land peeling due to the structure of the square land formed on the conventional printed wiring board and the structure of the solder resist formed on the surface of the printed wiring board reduces the soldering strength. In addition, there is a problem that a high-density printed wiring board cannot be provided.
[0008]
The present invention solves such a problem, can suppress land peeling, and can provide a high-density printed wiring board without lowering the soldering strength. An object of the present invention is to provide a land structure of a solder resist formed on a surface of a wiring board.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention provides a printed wiring board having a structure in which a square land formed on the printed wiring board and a solder resist formed on the surface of the printed wiring board are coated with solder resist at corners of the square land.
[0010]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, a quadrangular land formed on a printed wiring board and a solder resist formed on the surface of the printed wiring board according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. FIG. 1 is a plan view of an embodiment of the present invention in which a corner of a rectangular land formed on a printed wiring board is covered with a solder resist formed on the surface of the printed wiring board, and FIG. 2 is an embodiment of FIG. It is sectional drawing which shows a form.

In the present embodiment, the shape of the land is a square, and the shape of the resist is a regular octagon, but is not limited to this. For example, if the shape of the land is rectangular, the shape of the resist may be changed accordingly. The shape of the resist is not limited to an octagon, but may be a circle such as a perfect circle or an ellipse. In this case, any shape may be used as long as it suppresses corners of the land that are easily peeled.
[0016]
In the substrate according to the second embodiment of the present invention, a quadrangular land is configured to be large. If it is not possible to determine whether or not the size is such that land peeling can be suppressed, the corners of the

As described above, in the embodiment of the present invention, the soldering connection of the lead-free solder by the flow device has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to the flow device, and the same effect can be obtained in, for example, manual soldering.
[0021]
Thus, even if the connection solder becomes lead-free solder, land peeling can be suppressed without lowering the soldering strength. Also, even if the distance between the through hole and the rectangular land is reduced, the wiring density does not decrease. Further, since land separation can be prevented only by changing the solder resist, the cost of changing the design of the printed wiring board can be reduced.
