本発明は、インキ供給装置に係り、詳しくはインキ缶内のインキを簡単な構成により外部に取り出して印刷機に供給することができるインキ供給装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
この種のインキ供給装置として、従来、個々のインキカートリッジの内部にインキ押出部材を収容し圧縮空気を利用して前記インキ押出部材を下方に移動させて、インキカートリッジの下端部に設けた吐出口からインキを外部に吐出するようにしたものが提案されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、上記従来のインキ供給装置は、個々のインキカートリッジにインキ押出部材とインキの吐出口が設けられていたので、インキカートリッジの構成が複雑となり、部品点数が多くなって製造及び組み付け上のコストを低減することができないという問題があった。従って、一般的にはインキをインキつぼに供給する場合、インキ缶よりへら等で掬いとりそれを印刷機のインキつぼに供給するようにしていた。

本発明は、インキ缶の構成を簡素化して、部品点数を低減し、製造及び組み付け上のコストを低減することができるとともに、インキの供給作業を確実に行うことができるインキ供給装置を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記問題点を解決するために、請求項1に記載の発明は、インキ缶の上端開口部を閉鎖した状態で、インキ缶内のインキを加圧するインキ加圧手段と、該インキ加圧手段に設けられ、かつ加圧されたインキを外部に吐出するインキ吐出手段とを備えたことを要旨とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明を具体化したインキ供給装置の一実施形態を図1〜図5に従って説明する。

図1に示すように、平面円盤状をなす底板11の上面には複数(この実施形態は2カ所)のガイドピン12が上方に向けて互いに平行に配設されている。このガイドピン12は支持テーブル13のリング部13aのガイド孔13bに嵌合され、ガイドピン12によって支持テーブル13が上下方向の高さ位置調整可能に装着されている。前記支持テーブル13の上面にはインキを収容したインキ缶14が載置されるようになっている。このインキ缶14は筒部14aと底面14bとにより有底筒状に構成され、緩やかなテーパの筒部14aの上端部は開口され、この上端開口部は市販状態では図示しない蓋板により閉鎖されている。

前記底板11の外周縁には半円筒状のハウジング16が取り付けられ、ハウジング16の上端部には平面円板状をなす天板17が溶接等により取り付けられている。前記天板17の下面には前記インキ缶14の筒部14aの上端開口縁を接触させてシールするゴム製の偏平状のシールリング18が接着されている。前記インキ缶14内にはインキ押出部材19が嵌入され、その中心部にはガイド筒20の下端が接合されている。このガイド筒20内にはインキ吐出手段としてのインキ吐出パイプ21が上下方向に挿通されている。このインキ吐出パイプ21の前記底面14bに当接される下端縁には、インキの入口21aが形成されている。又、インキ吐出パイプ21の上端部21bは前記天板17の中心部に形成した吐出ポート17aに接続可能になっている。この吐出ポート17aの下部には係合凹部17bが形成され、前記インキ吐出パイプ21の上端部21bが横方向に移動しないようになっている。

前記天板17にはエア供給ポート17cが形成されている。このエア供給ポート17cにより前記天板17とインキ押出部材19との間に形成された加圧室Rに対しコンプレッサ22からエア供給パイプ23を通して圧縮空気が供給されるようにしている。この実施形態ではコンプレッサ22、エア供給パイプ23及びエア供給ポート17cによってエア供給機構が構成されている。

図4はインキ吐出パイプ21の上端部21bと接続治具26の下端筒部26aに設けた逆止弁28,29の取付構造を示す。下部の逆止弁28はインキ吐出パイプ21の上端部21bの開口に圧入嵌合される円筒部28aと、この円筒部28aの上端内周に弾性変形可能に一体に連結された平面円形状の弁板28bとを備えている。該弁板28bは円筒部28aに対し弾性変形可能なヒンジ部28cにより連結され、該弁板28bは常には閉鎖位置に保持されるようになっている。同様に、逆止弁29は前記下端筒部26aの下端開口に圧入嵌合される円筒部29aと、この円筒部29aの下端内周に弾性変形可能に一体に連結された平面円形状の弁板29bとを備えている。該弁板29bは円筒部29aに対し弾性変形可能なヒンジ部29cにより連結され、該弁板29bは常には閉鎖位置に保持されるようになっている。

次に、前記インキ缶14の上端開口縁をシールリング18の下面に押圧してシール力を付与するためのシール力付与機構31について説明する。
前記底板11の上面とハウジング16の下端の円筒部16aの内周面には案内リング32が配設され、ビス33により所定位置に固定されている。案内リング32の内周面には平面円環状の案内溝32aが形成され、この案内溝32aにはリングナット34の外周部が所定位置において案内回動されるようにしている。このリングナット34の内周面には雌ねじ34aが形成され、前記支持テーブル13のリング部13aの外周面に形成された雄ネジ部13cに螺合されている。前記リングナット34の外周部には操作部材としての操作レバー35の先端ネジ部が前記ハウジング16の円筒部16a及び案内リング32に形成したスロット16b及び32bを通して螺合固定されている。

前記リングナット34の外周面の一部には凹部34bが形成され、この凹部34bの旋回軌跡と対応するように前記案内リング32には位置検出器36が設けられている。そして、支持テーブル13が最大上昇位置に移動されたとき、つまりインキ缶14の上端開口縁がシールリング18の下面に押圧されてシール力が付与されたとき、凹部34bが位置検出器36と対応して検出信号を制御装置(図示略)に出力するようになっている。

次に、前記のように構成したインキ供給装置についてその動作を説明する。
最初に、図5に示すようにインキ缶14の筒部14aの開口部の蓋を取り外した状態で、ガイド筒20にインキ吐出パイプ21を貫通したインキ押出部材19を筒部14aの上端部に嵌合する。

一方、操作レバー35を操作して支持テーブル13の高さ位置を最下位置に移動保持する。この状態でインキ押出部材19を装着したインキ缶14を前記支持テーブル13の上面に載置する。このときインキ吐出パイプ21の上端部21bを天板17の係合凹部17bと対応させる。

次に、前記操作レバー35を操作して前記支持テーブル13を最下位置から最上位置に移動させる。すると、図1,2に示すようにインキ缶14の上端開口縁がシールリング18の下面に押圧され、前記加圧室Rがシール状態に保持される。前記支持テーブル13の最上位置への移動に伴って、位置検出器36が作動される。図示しない電磁開閉弁が開放されてレギュレータにより所定圧に設定された圧縮空気がコンプレッサ22からエア供給パイプ23を介して加圧室Rに供給されると、インキ押出部材19が筒部14aの内周面14cに沿って下方に案内移動され、インキ缶14内のインキが加圧される。

この加圧力によってインキがインキ吐出パイプ21の入口21aからインキ吐出パイプ21内に圧入される。これにより、インキは逆止弁28,29の弁板28b,29bを押し開いて前記接続治具26の下端筒部26aからインキ供給パイプ25を通して図示しない印刷機のインキつぼに供給される。

インキ缶14のインキが無くなると、前記操作レバー35が逆方向に回動されて、支持テーブル13が下方に移動される。このため、インキ吐出パイプ21の上端部21bが接続治具26の下端筒部26aから離れる。このとき、図4に示すように逆止弁28,29の弁板28b,29bが閉鎖され、かつ両弁板28b,29bによって、インキが上下に分離されているので、弁板29bの下面にはインキが付着することはなく、下端筒部26a内からインキが漏れることもない。

上記実施形態のインキ供給装置によれば、以下のような特徴を得ることができる。
(1)上記実施形態では、インキ缶14の筒部14aの内部にインキ押出部材19を収容し、加圧室Rに圧縮空気を供給してインキ押出部材19を下方に移動させインキ吐出パイプ21からインキを外部に吐出するようにした。このため、インキ缶14内のインキを簡単な構成により外部に吐出して印刷機に供給することができる。

又、インキ缶14に対しインキ押出部材19及びインキ吐出パイプ21を個々に取り付けておく必要がないので、インキ缶14の構成を簡素化して、部品点数を低減し、製造及び組み付け上のコストを低減することができる。

次に、図6〜図9によりこの発明の別の実施形態について説明する。

この実施形態のインキ供給装置は、インキ押出部材19を下方に移動させるための加圧室Rの他に、インキ押出部材19を上方に移動させるための加圧室Ruを備えている。又、インキ押出部材19の加圧面側にインキ吐出パイプ21の下端の入口21aを開口させ、インキの色変えの際にインキ吐出パイプ21のみを取り換えれば良いようにしたものである。

図6に示すように、前記シール力付与機構31を構成する底板51の上面にはリフターガイド52が支持され、このリフターガイド52の上面には複数の支柱53が互いに平行に立設されており、各支柱53の上端部には前記天板17が水平に支持されている。前記底板51及びリフターガイド52の内側には回転リング54が所定位置において前記操作レバー35によって往復回動可能に支持されている。前記回転リング54の上面には前記インキ缶14を支持するための支持テーブル131が支持されている。この支持テーブル131は前記リフターガイド52の内周面52aに形成された案内溝52bによって案内される案内ピン56を備えている(図7参照)。前記回転リング54の上面には駆動カム54aが一体に形成され、前記支持テーブル131の下面には駆動カム54aによって昇降動作される被動カム131aが一体に形成されている。

従って、前記操作レバー35によって前記回転リング54が垂直軸線の回りで水平方向に回動されると、駆動カム54aによって被動カム131aが持ち上げられ、支持テーブル131が非回動状態で上方に持ち上げられる。このため、前記インキ缶14が上方に移動され、インキ缶14の上部外周面がシールリング66によってシールされる。

前記天板17の上面には前記インキ押出部材19を上昇させるためのシリンダ60が装着されている。このシリンダ60は前記天板17の上面に立設固定された円筒状をなすシリンダ本体61と、このシリンダ本体61の内部に上下方向の往復動可能に収容されたピストンロッド62とを備えている。このピストンロッド62は、前記シリンダ本体61の内周面に沿って上下方向に往復動されるピストン部62aと、前記天板17の中心部に形成された前記吐出ポート17aの内周面に沿って上下方向に案内移動されるロッド部62bとによって構成されている。前記ピストンロッド62の下端部にはインキ押出部材19が嵌合固定されている。この実施形態では、前記インキ押出部材19は複数の部材によって構成されている。すなわち、前記ピストンロッド62の下端外周部に嵌合固定された本体63と、この本体63の外周面に嵌合固定されたゴム製のシールリング64と、前記本体63をロッド部62bの下端部に保持するための係止リング65とによって構成されている。前記シールリング64の外周面はインキ缶14の内周面14cに摺動しながら下方に移動されるようになっている。
