Abstract
Description
【0001】

However, in the spin coating method, the resist solution is applied so as to be shaken off by centrifugal force from the
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems of the related art, and requires only a small amount of a resist solution to be applied when forming a resist film on a base material, and can eliminate unnecessary parts such as a brim portion on the outer periphery of the base material. An object of the present invention is to provide a coating method, a coating apparatus, and a method for manufacturing a molding die for an optical element.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a coating method according to the present invention comprises a step of forming a resist solution into fine particles and attaching the fine particle to a surface of a material to be coated; Leveling the membrane.
[0006]
According to this coating method, since the finely divided resist solution is attached to the surface of the material to be coated, the resist solution can be applied without using the spin coating method, and a large amount of the resist solution is not required unlike the spin coating method. Only a small amount. Further, it is possible to omit a useless portion such as a flange portion on the outer periphery of the material to be applied. Further, the resist film made of fine particles can be made to have a uniform thickness by leveling by heat treatment. In this manner, a resist film having a uniform thickness can be formed without using the spin coating method, and the efficient use of the resist solution and the simplification of the shape of the material to be coated can be achieved, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost. Reduction can be achieved.
[0007]
In the above coating method, the resist solution can be finely divided by performing the atomization of the resist solution by a spraying method. Further, by applying the resist solution to the material to be coated by an inkjet method, the finely divided resist solution can be made to adhere to the surface of the material to be coated.
[0008]
Preferably, the temperature of the heat treatment is equal to or higher than the glass transition temperature of the resist material. Accordingly, the fine particles can be bonded to each other in the resist film formed of the fine particles to eliminate the grain boundaries, and a resist film having a uniform thickness can be easily obtained. In the heat treatment, the solvent component remaining in the resist solution can be evaporated.

[0011]
The coating apparatus may further include a control unit configured to control a coating amount of the resist solution from the resist micronization unit, and the resist microparticles when the microparticles of the resist solution are directed to the surface of the workpiece. It is preferable to further include a moving unit for moving at least one of the coating unit and the material to be coated. By controlling the amount of application and controlling the relative position between the resist material and the coating material, such as a spray nozzle or an ink head, the fine particles of the resist solution can be uniformly attached to the coating material.
[0012]
Further, the method of manufacturing a molding die for an optical element according to the present invention includes a step of forming a three-dimensional shape for an optical element on a base material, a step of forming a resist solution into fine particles and attaching the resist solution to the surface of the base material, Leveling a resist film on the surface of the base material by heat treating the base material, and forming a pattern on the resist film formed on the base material to form a fine structure for the optical element. The method includes a step of performing writing and a step of performing a developing process on the resist film.
[0013]
According to the method of manufacturing a molding die for an optical element, the resist solution in the form of fine particles is adhered to the surface of the base material, so that the resist solution can be applied without using the spin coat method, and a large amount of the resist solution can be applied as in the spin coat method. No resist solution is required and only a small amount is required. Further, unnecessary portions such as a brim portion on the outer periphery of the base material can be omitted. Further, the resist film made of fine particles can be made to have a uniform thickness by leveling by heat treatment. In this way, a resist film having a uniform thickness can be formed without using the spin coating method, and the efficient use of the resist solution and the simplification of the shape of the base material can be achieved, and the molding for the optical element can be performed. The manufacturing cost of the mold can be reduced. The pattern can be drawn by electron beam drawing.
[0014]
In the above manufacturing method, the resist solution can be made fine by atomizing the resist solution by a spraying method. Further, by applying the resist solution to the base material by an inkjet method, the finely divided resist solution can be made to adhere to the surface of the base material.
[0015]
Preferably, the temperature of the heat treatment is equal to or higher than the glass transition temperature of the resist material. Accordingly, the fine particles can be bonded to each other in the resist film formed of the fine particles to eliminate the grain boundaries, and a resist film having a uniform thickness can be easily obtained. In the heat treatment, the solvent component remaining in the resist solution can be evaporated.
[0016]
Further, by making the three-dimensional shape for the optical element an aspherical shape and making the fine structure a diffractive annular structure, an optical element such as an aspherical objective lens having a fine diffractive annular structure is manufactured. be able to.
[0017]
In addition, the above-mentioned spraying method (spraying method) is a known method in which a liquid is ejected to atomize the liquid. In addition, the above-described inkjet method is a known method applied to an image forming apparatus such as a printer and discharging a small liquid (ink) from an ink head toward recording paper.

Next, the manufacturing process of the optical element molding die including the coating process of FIG. 1 will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG. FIG. 5 illustrates an example in which an optical element molding die for molding an optical element having a diffraction ring pattern for a diffractive structure is formed by electroforming and transferring from a shape of a master mold.
[0036]
First, the matrix material is set on an SPDT processing machine to form an aspherical shape corresponding to the optical surface of the optical element (S01). Subsequently, the material of the matrix having the aspherical shape is removed from the SPDT processing machine, and a resist solution is applied on the aspherical surface of the material as shown in FIG. It is formed (S02). Thereafter, leveling is performed by baking by heat treatment to form a resist film having a uniform film thickness (S03), and electron beam writing of a diffraction ring pattern is performed (S04). Further, an exposure process is performed (S05), and then a resist development process is performed (S06) to obtain an annular pattern shape. Here, the electron beam drawing means drawing a predetermined pattern on a substrate having a curved surface placed on a mounting table by irradiating an electron beam with an electron beam irradiating means. The control of the electron beam can be realized by adjusting the current value of the electron lens to variably control the focal position of the electron beam, or by controlling the movement of the mounting table.

Thereafter, an etching process is performed (S07), and the orbicular zone pattern is engraved on the material of the matrix to obtain a matrix. The mold is subjected to an electroforming process, then released, and combined with a backing member (S08) to obtain an optical element molding die.
[0038]
As described above, a molding die for an optical element for molding an optical element having a diffraction ring pattern can be manufactured. However, since the manufacturing cost related to resist coating in this manufacturing process can be reduced as described above. Thus, the manufacturing cost of the molding die for an optical element can be reduced, and the manufacturing cost of an optical element having a fine diffraction zone pattern can be reduced.
[0039]
As described above, the present invention has been described with the embodiments, but the present invention is not limited to these, and various modifications can be made within the technical idea of the present invention. For example, in the present embodiment, the coating method according to the present invention is applied to the production of a molding die for an optical element, but it can be applied to a molding die for molding a microstructure other than an optical element, Of course, the present invention may be applied to manufacture a substrate having a fine structure other than a molding die. Needless to say, the material to be coated may be a material other than a substrate for performing beam drawing.
