Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a device for effectively cooling a transmission arranged behind an in-vehicle engine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a conventional cab-over truck, the running wind is actively guided to the radiator in front of the engine by an air scoop or the like to cool the engine cooling water. However, the exhaust manifold and many auxiliary In particular, when the engine is covered with a sound insulation cover, the transmission located behind the engine tends to be insufficiently cooled by the running wind, and the transmission lubrication oil temperature There is a problem that is easy to rise.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention is intended to effectively cool a transmission disposed behind a vehicle-mounted engine by traveling wind.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
For this reason, the cooling device according to the present invention is characterized in that a radiator is disposed in front of a vertically mounted engine, a transmission is disposed behind the engine, and an under cover that covers a lower portion of the engine and a side cover that covers both lateral sides of the engine. The vehicle having the exhaust manifold of the engine is provided above the under cover on a side opposite to the side on which the exhaust manifold of the engine is disposed, and is opened substantially forward of the radiator and on the side of the radiator toward the front of the vehicle. It has a wind guide duct that extends to the side of the engine.
[0005]
That is, in a vehicle in which the under cover covers the lower part of the engine and the side covers cover both sides of the engine, when the wind flowing through the radiator flows from the front of the vehicle to the rear of the vehicle along the engine, the exhaust of the engine is exhausted. In the side space opposite to the side where the manifold is provided, the pressure is relatively low with respect to the other side where the exhaust manifold and many auxiliary devices are provided. The traveling wind that has flowed into the air duct that opens to the front of the vehicle at the side is positively guided by the low pressure to the side of the engine above the undercover, so that the transmission located behind the engine is compared. The traveling wind at a very low temperature can be effectively cooled.
[0006]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention shown in the drawings will be described.
In a cab-over truck, a vertically mounted engine 2 is mounted below a cab 1, a radiator 3 is arranged in front of the engine 2, and a transmission 4 is arranged behind the engine 2, while the engine 2 In order to cut off sound, a lower part of the engine 2 is covered with an under cover 5 and both lateral sides of the engine 2 are covered with side covers 6.
[0007]
In addition, on the side of the engine 2 where the exhaust manifold (not shown) is arranged, that is, on the right side of the engine 2 as viewed from the occupant, many auxiliary devices such as an oil filter, an alternator, and an oil pump are arranged outside the exhaust manifold. On the other hand, relatively few accessories are arranged on the side opposite to the side where the exhaust manifold of the engine 2 is arranged, that is, on the left side of the engine 2 as viewed from the occupant.
[0008]
Further, a wind guide duct 10 is provided on the left side where the exhaust manifold of the engine 2 is not disposed, and the wind guide duct 10 is opened substantially below the radiator 3 and on the left side toward the front of the vehicle, It extends to the left side of the engine 2.
In addition, 11 is a front wheel, 12 is a side frame, and 13 is a radiator fan.
[0009]
In the above vehicle, the traveling wind sucked into the radiator 3 by the radiator fan 13 as shown by an arrow A after passing through the radiator 3 is guided by the under cover 5 and the side cover 6 and most of the traveling wind along the outer surface of the engine 2 is provided. It flows backward, and partly collides with the engine 2 and accessories, turns over, and flows backward from the lower side of the radiator 3 and the right side of the radiator 3 to the front of the vehicle as shown by the arrow B. On the left side of the engine 2 where there is little backflow, the traveling wind efficiently flows as shown by an arrow C into the air guide duct 10 which is opened substantially forward of the vehicle on the left side and substantially below the radiator 3, Of the air which is positively guided to the space on the left side of the engine 2 which has a relatively low pressure due to the small arrangement of the air, and which passes through the radiator 3 and flows along the outer surface of the engine 2 toward the rear of the vehicle. Also conducive to data action is facilitated to be flowing out of guide duct 10 as indicated by an arrow D toward the rear of the vehicle.
[0010]
Moreover, since the traveling wind flowing out of the air guide duct 10 does not pass through the radiator 3 and is relatively low in temperature, the traveling wind can effectively cool the transmission 4 disposed behind the engine 2. Therefore, there is a great advantage that the temperature rise of the lubricating oil built in the transmission 4 can be easily and significantly suppressed.
[0011]
【The invention's effect】
In the cooling device according to the present invention, the traveling wind flowing into the wind guide duct that opens toward the front of the vehicle substantially below the radiator and on the side opposite to the side where the exhaust manifold is disposed is generated by the engine. The exhaust manifold of the engine is actively guided to the relatively low-pressure part on the side where it is not installed, and the transmission arranged behind the engine can be cooled effectively, so that the lubricating oil temperature of the transmission decreases. There is a great advantage that ascending can be easily and largely suppressed.
