【本発明の効果】
表3の結果からも明らかなように、本発明のRBC又はCRBCの微粉末及び合成樹脂又は繊維強化合成樹脂で作られた水中用スリーブ軸受は、以下の効果を奏することが判明した。
1.摩擦係数を低下させることができる。
2.低すべり速度域と高すべり速度域での摩擦係数の差を、小さくすることができる。
3.繊維強化合成樹脂を用いた場合、前記1.〜2.に加えて、機械的性質も同時に向上させることが出来る。
4.射出成形できるので、生産効率に優れる。
5.低コストである。
また、本発明のRBC又はCRBCの微粉末及び合成樹脂からなる水中用スリーブ軸受は、水中での摩擦特性が際立って優れており、水冷式エンジンの冷却水循環ポンプなど、液体中で使われるポンプの軸受として、シールドしないで液体中で用いるスリーブ軸受構造など直接液体に触れる軸受を構成する材料として有望である。
