【発明の属する技術分野】この発明は、人間のストレス
等によってもたらされる各種の障害を解消又は低減する
香植物による癒しの鉢に関するものである。

【従来の技術】現代人を取り巻く生活環境は、常に各種
のストレスに取り巻かれており、精神的に不安定になっ
たり、ストレスが原因とする各種の身体障害が発生して
いる。これを解決するには、西洋医学的な薬物の投与な
どの対症療法では限界があり、日頃から精神を安静にし
たり、安定化することが必要である。この日頃のストレ
スを取り除く、又は軽減する方法の一つに、アロマテラ
ピーといわれる、特有の香りが上記のような精神的スト
レスを解消又は低減するとされて対症療法的に応用され
てきている。
【０００３】しかしながら、アロマテラピーといわれる
療法は、主に精油といわれる、香植物の香のエキスを揮
発性の油に溶かし、これを塗布したり、香を嗅いだりす
ることで、ストレス障害などを治療するもので、継続的
でなかったり、あまりに強すぎるために使用方法を誤る
と逆に副作用が出るというように、専門的な知識や技術
が必要であった。この発明の癒しの鉢は、このような従
来のアロマテラピー療法の問題点に鑑み、極めて緩やか
に、しかも継続的に香を提供することにより、従来の問
題点を解決するものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明者は、このよう
な香りによる精神ストレスの解消や低減に着目し、常に
身近に、しかも長期間に亘り、香りを人々に供給するこ
とのできる、香り植物の鉢植を癒しの鉢として提供する
ことを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記目的を達成するた
め、この発明の癒しの鉢は、陶製、木製、プラスチック
製、金属製などの植木鉢に、茎葉や花の香が、ストレス
によってもたらされる人間の障害を解消又は低減できる
香植物を1種又は2種以上組み合わせて植裁されたことを
特徴とする（請求項１）。
【０００６】この発明による癒しの鉢は、居間とか寝室
などに設置され、その鉢に生育させる香植物が常に、こ
れらの空間に、ストレスを解消したり低減するような香
を継続的に発散することにより、快適な空間を継続的に
維持することができることが最大の特徴であり、これに
より、人間の、ストレスによる障害を取り除いたり、低
減したりして、生活空間を快適にすることができるもの
である。
【０００７】この発明に使用できる植木鉢としては、上
記したように、陶製、プラスチック製、木製、金属製な
どの植木鉢が使用できるが、植物の種類や（一年草、多
年草、低木類等）植物の大きさ、植え込む本数等により
植木鉢の大きさや深さを適宜選択する。
【０００８】この発明に使用できる植木鉢には、上記の
他に、でんぷん系やポリ乳酸系などの生分解性プラスチ
ックの成形物を使用することもでき、このような素材を
使用すると、植物の所定の生育期間終了後の廃棄の際
に、周辺環境に負荷を与えることが軽減でき好適であ
る。その他プラスチックの軟質材料を用いて、巾着状の
植木鉢を使用することもでき、この場合には、ハンギン
グ方式の設置が可能で、部屋のインテリア性を向上でき
る。巾着方式の鉢の場合、植木鉢に充填する培土が過湿
になったり、植物の根から出る老廃物の悪影響を防止す
るために、イオン交換樹脂を培土に混入することが好適
である。
【０００９】この発明の植木鉢に充填する培土（植生基
盤）としては、土壌、有機質、土壌改良材、保水材等を
適宜混合した培土が使用され、土壌としては、砂壌土と
か市販品の赤玉土、鹿沼土などが使用され、有機質とし
ては、腐葉土、バーク堆肥、ピートモス等が使用でき
る。土壌改良材としては、パーライト、バーミキュライ
ト等、保水材としては上記の有機質や土壌改良材として
使用される各資材のほかに、高吸水性ポリマーといわれ
る合成樹脂資材なども使用できる。使用に当たっては、
上記の材料を適宜選択して、例えば比較的排水性を重視
した培土とか保水性を重視した培土のように植栽する植
物の性質を考慮して選択する。また、カルシュームある
いはカルシュームの化合物を吸着または繊維中に導入さ
れたヤシ繊維を培土自体又は培土中に混入すると保水性
と合わせて排水性が向上すると共に、培土の緩衝能が向
上し、より植物の健全な生育が期待できる。その他培土
に混入して有効な材料として、植物の根茎に共生する菌
根菌を添加することもあり、こうすると植物の栽培に際
して化学肥料の使用を抑制することができ、植物の健全
な生育と共に、より環境にやさしいものとすることがで
きる。
【００１０】この発明に使用する香植物としては、例え
ば、
＜不安/緊張＞リラックスできない、感情が不安定、
頭痛、不眠には、スカルキャップ、ウッドベトニー、バ
ーベイン、バスクフラワー等の組み合わせ。
＜パニックの発作＞動悸、強い不安感等には、ダマス
クローズ、レディズスリッパー、ジャマイカン・ドック
ウッド等の組み合わせ。
＜抑うつ症＞悲哀感、ものごとに集中できない等の症
状にはオート、ボラージ、バジル、ダミアナなどの組み
合わせ。
＜不眠症＞過度の興奮、不安、心労が原因で眠りにつ
けない、夜中に何度も目がさめる等の症状には、ホッ
プ、ワイルドレタス、カルフォルニア・ポピー、パッシ
ョンフラワーの組み合わせ。リラックスできず不眠症に
なった場合には、マグワート、ローマンカモマイル、ラ
ベンダー、レモンバーム、バレリアン等の組み合わせな
どの各種を組み合わせて香植物を植栽する。

ているような場合には、例えば、不安緊張を解すバーベ
インと動悸や強い不安感を和らげるダマスクローズ、悲
哀感、ものごとに集中できない等を和らげるバジル、ダ
イアミナ等を組み合わせて寄せ植え状に鉢植えすること
も有効である。
【００１２】加えて、上記のような植物を育てること、
即ち身近に植物が常に存在し、それを手入れすること自
体も、精神的な安定作用を奏し、この身近に存在する植
物が、各種のストレスなどを解消又は低減する香を発散
するものであれば相乗的にその効果は増大する。
【００１３】以上の各植物を組み合わせて鉢植えしたも
のを身近に、例えば、寝室とか居間など日頃生活する空
間に置くことにより、常に精神的に安定した空間づくり
が可能になる。またこの癒しの鉢は、各種の施設、特に
老人ホームなど集団生活の場などに設置するとその効果
をより発揮できる。

【発明の実施の形態】この発明の実施の形態を、図面を
参照しながら説明する。図１は、この発明の実施の形態
を示すもので、まず、図１において、１は植木鉢、２は
