In the prior art, a tow bracket 10 for attaching a tow hook 104 is provided.
Numeral 6 is fixed to the lower surface of the bumper reinforce 110 by welding at a portion extending from one of the side members 108. At the time of towing, the towing force F is transmitted from the towing hook 104 to the bumper stay 110 via the towing bracket 106. Since the traction bracket 106 is welded and fixed to the lower surface of the bumper reinforce 110 welded to the front surface of the side member 108, the traction bracket 106 serving as an input point of the traction force is connected to the bumper stay 112.
Offset from Therefore, since a large traction moment can be applied to the bump stay 112, it is necessary to increase the strength of the bump past stay 112 so as to be able to withstand such a large pulling moment. In addition, the role of the bumper reinforce 110 is intended to absorb energy by crushing during a large collision.
However, the towing bracket 106 is fixed to the bumper reinforce 110 by welding, and as a result, the bumper reinforce 110 is reinforced by the towing bracket 106. For this reason, the bumper reinforce is reinforced, and as a result, there is a disadvantage that the function of the bumper reinforce that the bumper reinforces and crushes during a large collision to absorb energy is not completely obtained.

The operation and effect of the first aspect of the invention will be described. The bumper stay fixed to the front surface of the side member has an extension extending integrally below the bumper reinforcement toward the front, and the bumper stay extension. A threaded mounting for the traction member is provided in the cavity at.
Therefore, the input at the time of towing is directly input to the bumper stay, so that the bumper stay is fixed, and the input at the time of towing can be efficiently received by the front side member serving as the framework of the vehicle body. Further, unlike the prior art, the bumper reinforce is not provided with a towing bracket, so that the bumper reinforce can be crushed by the designed load, and the intended cushioning function can be obtained. In addition, as for the bumping function of the bumper stay, since the bumper stay extension extends forward, energy at the time of collision can be absorbed by the collapse of the extension. Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to realize both functions of efficient transmission of the traction force by the bumper stay and efficient energy absorption of the bumper reinforcement and the bumper stay at the time of collision.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, the mounting portion for the traction member includes a rear plate fixed to the opposing side wall of the internal cavity in the bumper stay extension and a collar extending from the rear plate. With this configuration, in the traction direction, the stiffness is high due to the reinforcing effect of the collar extending between the rear face plate and the bumper stay extension, so that the traction force can be efficiently transmitted to the side members that are the body frame. The rigidity is also increased in the width direction due to the mounting structure of the rear plate to the opposing side surface of the bumper stay, so that the rear plate can efficiently support the traction force from the rear plate even if the traction force is directed obliquely. On the other hand, in the direction opposite to the towing direction, the rear panel has no support and has low rigidity, so in the event of a collision, the rear panel is easily crushed by the force from the collar. Function can be obtained.

On the other hand, the towing hook is not mounted on the bumper stay 12 during normal running. At the time of a collision, the bump paste stay 12 and the bumper reinforce 14 are deformed, so that the designed collision energy absorbing function can be achieved. First, the bumper reinforce 14 is crushed by the designed load unlike the prior art reinforced by the traction bracket 106, so that the intended impact absorbing function of the bumper reinforce 14 can be achieved. Further, with respect to the bumper stay 12, although the screw type mounting portion 26 incorporated in the extension portion 22 provides rigidity to withstand a traction load during traction, this reinforcing effect acts only in the traction direction. That is, color 3
6 and the rear plate 28 having both ends 28-1 fixed to the bumper stay extension side wall 22-1 have no support against the load in the collision direction (the direction opposite to the arrow F). As shown in (b), the side wall 22-1 and the front wall 22-2 are crushed and the rear plate 28 is crushed, so that an energy absorbing effect can be obtained. Further, as shown in FIG. 6A, the spot welded portion 32 of the rear plate 28 is retracted by the length X from the mounting surface of the collar 30 to reduce the amount of collapse of the rear plate 28 at the time of collision (B). As large as possible, there is an effect that the maximum buffer function can be exhibited.
