As an example of the decorative film 1, a pattern layer 3 is directly formed on a base film 2 and an adhesive layer 4 is formed thereon.
Is formed. Alternatively, there is one in which a release layer 5 is formed on the base film 2, and a picture layer 3 and an adhesive layer 4 are formed thereon (see FIG. 7). Alternatively, a film in which a pattern layer 3 and an adhesive layer 4 are formed on a base film 2 having releasability may be used. Examples of the material of the base film 2 include polyester resin, polypropylene resin, vinyl chloride resin, polyethylene resin, polyethylene terephthalate resin, polycarbonate resin, nylon resin, vinylon resin, acetate resin, polyethylene resin, It is preferable to use a transparent or translucent plastic film or plastic sheet such as a polyamide resin, a polyacrylic resin, a polyvinyl chloride resin, a composite thereof, or an alloy. As the film thickness of the base film 2,
Those having a size of 10 μm to 2 mm can be used. In order to arrange the decorative film 1 in a mold, a so-called “strain” (not too soft) is required for the base film 2. Without this, there is a problem that the shape of the decorative film cannot be maintained in the mold and the decorative film peels off from the mold. In this sense, the thickness of the base film 2 is 1
00 µm to 2.0 mm is preferred. The thickness of the base film 2 is preferably 100 μm to 0.7 mm so that the injected resin 15 is less likely to be displaced by being caught on the peripheral portion 7 of the base film 2.

An example of a method for manufacturing a partially decorated molded product according to the present invention will be described. First, the decorative film 1 is trimmed (cut) at a predetermined location without or after preforming, so that the peripheral portion 7 is formed on the decorative film 1. The trimming method is a mold, Thomson blade, laser,
This is performed by means such as water jet. When the decorative film has a three-dimensional curved surface, laser, water jet, punching with a mold, or the like is suitable as a trimming method. When preforming, the entire decorative film 1 may have a substantially U-shaped cross section so that the peripheral portion 7 of the decorative film 1 is in contact with only the wall surface 9 of the convex portion 14. The entire decorative film 1 may have a substantially S-shaped cross-section so that the peripheral portion 7 extends along the entire surface of the convex portion 14.

According to the method for manufacturing a partially decorative molded product of the present invention, a metal mold having a convex portion having a width of 0.1 to 4 mm and a height of 0.1 to 3 mm is used. Since it is aligned with the convex part of the mold, in the obtained partially decorative molded product, the peripheral edge of the decorative film is formed on the inner surface of the groove of the molded product formed by the convex part of the mold. Since the groove of the molded product is deep and relatively dark, the peripheral edge of the decorative film is inconspicuous. For this reason, it is difficult to discriminate and visually recognize a cutting trace of the peripheral portion of the decorative film, a waving at the time of cutting, a positional shift or a distortion of the peripheral portion due to the contraction of the decorative film, and the design has a good appearance. In addition, the peripheral portion of the decorative film comes into contact with the convex portion of the mold or covers the convex portion of the mold. Therefore, even if the decorative film is likely to be swept away by the injected molten resin, the decorative film is caught by the convex portion and is not easily washed away. For this reason, the position of the decorative film once positioned does not shift. Therefore, the appearance is good in design. Furthermore, since the boundary of the surface state between the portion where the decorative film is present and the base portion of the molded product is emphasized and expressed, it looks as if different parts are fitted together with the groove as a boundary. Etc., it can also exhibit pseudo-design effects.
