Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular knitted fabric by knitting Japanese paper fibers produced by suitably twisting flat fibers made by cutting Japanese paper in a narrow and long shape. SOLUTION: This circular knitted fabric using the Japanese paper fibers, characterized by subjecting the Japanese paper fibers 2 to a crabbing treatment and a gear-like roll treatment to soften the fibers 2, further subjecting the fibers to a waxing treatment to reduce the frictional resistance, and then knitting the fibers.

2. Description of the Related Art A knitted fabric is one in which yarns (loops) are connected in order to form a knitted fabric, and is richer in elasticity, lighter in weight, more in air content, and more heat insulating than woven fabric. . And soft and resilient. In addition, since it is easy to sew, it is widely used as a fabric for clothing. Circular knitting in this knitted fabric is a method of knitting yarn in a tubular shape and is generally used for underwear, etc., and the material of the yarn is cotton, wool, hemp, polyester, depending on the application , Synthetic fibers and the like are used.

[0003] Even in the same circular knitting, the properties of the circular knitted fabric naturally differ depending on the material and thickness of the yarn used.
By the way, weaving yarns made of Japanese paper have been developed. This is a "woven yarn of Japanese paper" according to Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-118975, and is a weaving yarn of Japanese paper characterized by twisting a flat yarn obtained by cutting Japanese paper into a narrow width to form a knitted fabric.

[0004] The fabric knitted using this Japanese paper yarn is extremely durable and can be applied to a wide range of applications. However, since the Japanese paper yarn is made by twisting the flat yarn obtained by cutting the Japanese paper into thin pieces as described above, there is almost no elongation due to its properties. Therefore, it is not suitable for warp knitting which requires a warping step of winding a large beam from a plurality of cheeses and cones.

[0005] That is, when warping, if there is no expansion and contraction of the yarn, it will not be able to be wound regularly with a partial dub,
This cannot be rewound and knitted. In addition, Japanese paper yarn is hard and has high frictional resistance, so that there are various problems in the knitting process. It cannot be handled in the same way as soft and smooth yarns such as cotton yarns and synthetic yarns, and the quality is reduced as yarn breaks or flaws.

The properties of circular knitting differ depending on the yarn material used, but there is no particular problem with the properties. However, there is a problem in knitting and weaving Japanese paper yarn as it is, and an object of the present invention is to provide a Japanese paper yarn that can be knitted and a circular knitted fabric knitted using the yarn.

In the circular knitted fabric of the present invention, Japanese paper is used as a yarn material. The Japanese paper is cut into a long and thin form and twisted to produce a Japanese paper thread having a predetermined thickness. This yarn is generally thick and has no elasticity, and can have the properties of Japanese paper such as water retention and air permeability. The most distinctive property seems to be the surprisingness of Japanese paper. A circular knitted fabric obtained by knitting a thread using this washi has the properties of a washi thread.

[0008] Here, the yarn is formed by cutting a large Japanese paper into a long and narrow shape at a constant width, and twisting this. The number of twists is not particularly limited, but it may be immersed in hot water to prevent twisting and softening, change the cutting width of Japanese paper, change the number of twists, various yarns are completed, The nature of circular knitting also differs. Waxing is performed to reduce the friction between the yarns during weaving and the friction between the yarn and the guide or needle. Hereinafter, embodiments according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

The yarn 2 is twisted 0 times / m. Flat yarn 1 of 2 to 4 mm width
By twisting the yarn, the tensile strength is increased, and the yarn can be knitted and circularly knitted in the same manner as a conventional yarn. However, since the material is Japanese paper, there is no elongation like conventional knitting yarn,
Not suitable for warp knitting.

[0010] As described above, the warp knitting requires a warping step as a pre-process, and it is not possible to regularly warp a non-stretchable Japanese paper yarn. This warping step is not required, and it is suitable for circular knitting in which yarn is rewound directly from cheese or cone and knitted. However, because Japanese paper yarn is hard, it is better to knead it by softening it by blanching and passing it through a gear roll.It also reduces the friction between the yarns and reduces the frictional resistance generated between the yarn and the guide or needle. By performing waxing to prevent yarn breakage, it is possible to eliminate flaws.

The Japanese paper yarn 2 used as the circular knitted fabric of the present invention is relatively thick, and generally 48, 60, or 72 yarn supply ports are arranged in the cylinder portion and the dial portion. Then, the circular knitted fabric is knitted sequentially by being entangled with an adjacent loop, and the tension adjusting device 5 is used to prevent the yarn from being overwhelmed. The IRO tape method is suitable for the tension adjusting device for circularly knitting the washi-made yarn of the present invention. Are not cut in the knitting process of the circular knitting, and a predetermined circular knitted fabric is completed. By the way, the use of circular knitted fabric is not limited by the present invention, and it is widely used for clothing, curtains, tablecloths, handbags, hats and the like.

The circular knitted fabric of the present invention produces yarns using Japanese paper as a material, and the yarns are softened by blanching or passing through a gear-shaped roll, and are also waxed to reduce the coefficient of friction. Circular knitting can be performed without generating flaws or splashes. The circular knitted fabric basically retains the properties of Japanese paper as it is, and has a different skin contact and a different surface appearance as compared to a circular knitted fabric made of a conventional material. Specifically, the following effects are obtained. (1) Insulation Circular knitting using Washi Yarn has insulating properties, and for those who handle electricity, the safety is improved by using the fabric made with the circular knitting of the present invention. (2) Water retention Washi originally has the ability to absorb and retain moisture, and when the skin is dry, it gives a moderate amount of moisture to the skin so that the skin does not stick. Further, not only underwear but also circular knitted fabrics having water retention can be used as nursery beds. In other words, when seeds are sown on a nursery bed made of circular knitted fabric and water is given, the nursery bed is not directly dried but keeps moisture, and the seeds can be germinated by this moisture. (3) Breathability Washi has breathability, and therefore, it feels cool when wearing the circular knitted garment of the present invention. Further, it can be used as an air filter or a water purification filter by utilizing air permeability. (4) Water absorbency Washi originally has the ability to absorb moisture, so even if you sweat it by wearing it as underwear, this sweat is absorbed immediately and your body is not sticky. It can also be used as a marine pollution prevention material when oil spills due to a ship wreck. (5) Lightweight Because the original material is Japanese paper, its weight is light. The lighter dough will greatly expand its use,
In particular, it can be used as a component of an aircraft or a space satellite. (6) Harmony with the natural environment Because it is Japanese paper, it does not generate harmful substances even if it is incinerated, and if it is buried underground, it becomes soil and does not destroy the natural environment.
