[0003] In a fuel injection system employing such a fuel injection pipe for a diesel engine, the fuel injection pipe is designed to be capable of injecting a sufficient amount into a combustion chamber without causing pressure loss in the pipe. It is shorter in consideration of the above convenience. However, even with such a short injection pipe, pressure fluctuations occur in the injection pipe when the valve closes after fuel injection. This pressure fluctuation causes pulsation to reach from the inside of the pipe to the inside of the common rail, and further affects the injection pipe of the next cylinder, so that there has been a problem that stable fuel injection cannot be performed.

Problems to be solved by the invention are as follows.
For example, it is possible to reduce the pressure fluctuation by increasing the inner diameter of the injection tube or the common rail to increase the volume of the tube, but there is a disadvantage that pulsation is transmitted quickly. Therefore, a method of providing an orifice in the common rail has been developed in order to suppress pulsation and slow and reduce propagation. As this method, there are known a method of providing an orifice function by making the diameter of a branch hole provided in the common rail smaller and a method of interposing a metal ring member (piece) with an orifice in the branch hole of the common rail. Either way, it is possible to keep the pulsation low and slow the propagation. However, the method of imparting an orifice function by making the diameter of the branch hole smaller in the common rail is to apply a high pressure repeatedly to the branch hole portion, so that the thinnest wall has a thickness of 7 mm or more even at the thinnest part, and a position deeper than the common rail end face. Therefore, there is a disadvantage that the formation of the orifice is not easy because the process is performed at a temperature. In addition, a method of interposing a metal ring member (piece) with an orifice in the branch hole is performed by using an axial force of one fastening nut incorporated in the injection pipe side between the common rail and the metal ring member, and between the injection pipe and the metal pipe. There is a disadvantage in that the seal between the two parts between the ring member and the ring member has poor stability.
