Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack which can cope with a change in battery size or the like in a free manner. SOLUTION: Plural cylindrical batteries arranged in two rows are inserted into two paper tubes 1b. Then, both ends of the batteries are covered with a terminal cover 2 molded of a resin and a battery cover 3 molded of a resin, and fixed with a heat-shrinkable tube 5 in such a manner that the tube 5 surrounds the terminal cover 2 and the battery cover 3. This enables the batteries to be changed in number in a simple manner, and to be developed in various sized and capacities. Further, as both ends of the batteries are covered with the resin cases, a mechanical strength can be insured.

Under such circumstances, each battery manufacturer aims to differentiate itself from other companies in the industry by increasing the capacity of the battery and preparing a variety of shapes, and to satisfy OEM customers as quickly as possible. Improvements are being made every day. In the package of the battery pack, the single product is covered with a case made of resin except for the completely built-in type, and the upper and lower cases are fixed by ultrasonic welding or solvent welding. However, in the battery pack configuration completely covered with resin as described above,
Each set product has a uniform specification, and if the size of the battery changes even a little, the existing case becomes useless at all and must be designed from scratch. In doing so, it takes time and cost, and has a drawback that it is impossible to flexibly respond to OEM destinations. In addition, a soft pack using a heat-shrinkable tube or the like that is relatively flexible in response to the above-described problems cannot be used for a battery that has a charging specification of a single battery because of its low mechanical strength. Was.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a schematic configuration of a battery pack according to this embodiment. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1a denotes a cylindrically sealed nickel-cadmium storage battery, in which a total of 10 storage batteries are connected in a longitudinal direction by connecting lead plates to form five rows, two of which are L, and two rows are L. After being connected in the shape of a letter by a connection lead plate, the two are folded and arranged in two rows. Insert each into the paper cylinder 1b, which is a cylinder,
The battery block 1 is arranged in rows. Here, by using the paper cylinder 1b as the cylinder, the cylinder can be formed at very low cost. Then, after inserting the terminal cover 2 and the battery cover 3 formed of PC (polycarbonate) resin into both ends of the battery block 1, the output terminal 4 is spot-welded to the nickel-cadmium storage battery 1a of a cylindrical sealed type. Finally, the battery pack is shrunk by the heat-shrinkable tube 5 to hold the entire battery pack. The heat-shrinkable tube 5 covers at least a portion excluding the terminal portion 4 a provided on the terminal cover 2. The heat-shrinkable tube 5 is provided so as to cover the side surface to the bottom surface side of the battery cover 3, and the terminal portion 4 is provided on the bottom surface of the terminal cover 2.
a is provided, and the side surfaces except the bottom surface of the terminal cover 2 are covered with the heat-shrinkable tube 5.

FIG. 4 shows the terminal cover 2 and the heat-shrinkable tube 5.
It is an enlarged view of the part which fixed with PET (polyethylene terephthalate) tape (display label 6). As shown in the figure, by forming the concave portion 2a having the same thickness as the heat-shrinkable tube 5, the contact surface of the terminal cover 2 and the contact surface of the heat-shrinkable tube 5 become linear, so that the display label 6 is stuck without wrinkles. Can be attached, and the appearance quality as a product can be maintained.
