2. Description of the Related Art As shown in FIG. 9, a sewing machine needle 80 through which a thread is passed through a needle tip to ascend and descend to penetrate a sewing object 82, and a looper which passes a thread of the sewing machine needle 80 below the sewing object 82. A single thread ring stitch sewing machine having a sewing thread 80 and a looper 81 forming a stitch with one thread is provided by:
This is a well-known technique. In the conventional single-thread ring stitch sewing machine, the thread at the needle point is hand-wound by the looper 81 at the start of sewing, so that the sewing is finished in a state where the thread end L0 at the start of sewing comes off to the looper 81 side. As shown in FIG. 10, the conventional sewing process at the end of sewing of the single-thread chain stitch sewing machine is not shown below the sewing object 82 after the looper 81 has performed the thread and the sewing needle 80 has risen. The thread is cut by the thread cutting device and the process is completed. Therefore, the sewing is finished in a state where the thread end L9 at the end of sewing is pulled out below the sewing object.

However, in the above-mentioned stitches at the start of sewing of the conventional single-thread ring stitch sewing machine, when a force is applied in the directions of arrows F1 and F2 in FIG. There is a problem that the thread ends come off in the direction of arrow A and the stitches are unraveled. Further, in the conventional sewing at the end of sewing of the single thread chain stitch sewing machine, as shown in FIG. 10, when the thread is pulled in the direction of arrow B and the thread end comes off upward, then the thread end is pulled. However, there is a problem that the seam is unraveled at once. Further, as shown in FIG. 11, even in the case of the above-described conventional seam in which special processing is performed at the end of sewing, for example, in the case of the seam shown in FIG. Is a strong seam against being pulled in the direction of arrow C, but the last seam is not tightened and is a loose seam. There is a problem that the last seam is easily unraveled by being pushed.

In the case of the stitch shown in FIG. 1B, the last stitch itself is hardened, so that even if the thread end is pushed in the direction of arrow F, the stitch is difficult to be unraveled. There is a problem that the cloth and the lower cloth are weakened when the force in the direction of arrow E is applied to the thread due to the spread of the cloth and the seam is easily released by this force. Single thread ring stitch sewing machines have the advantage that stitches can be formed with a simple configuration using one thread, but also have the problem that the thread ends are easy to unravel as described above. It is currently not used.

Sewing needle 10, balance 51, thread tension 52, 5
3, and the looper is a general one similar to the conventional configuration, and the description is omitted. The thread end cutter 12 cuts the thread end L0 at the start of sewing with a V-shaped female portion 12a. The needle drop point y on the upper surface of the sewn material CL from the thread holding point x above the needle plate is defined by the radius The sewing machine 10 is provided at the position of the intersection z between the circumference to be sewn and the upper surface of the sewing product CL, that is, a position several stitches behind the sewing needle 10 in the cloth feeding direction (the direction of the arrow X). The thread end cutter 12 is attached to the frame of the cloth feeder 54, and when the thickness of the sewn material CL increases, the female part 12a together with the cloth feeder 54 holds the position just above the upper surface of the sewn material CL. The female part 12 a is located at the bottom of the thread end cutter 12. The height h from the cloth upper surface to the female part 12a is:
For example, the lock position of the thread end cutter 12 can be adjusted by making it variable, so that the thread end at which the female portion 12a is formed does not hit the seam and the thread end at the start of sewing is shortened before the sewing process. Set to a height that can be cut. The yarn end cutting means is not limited to the yarn end cutter 12, and may be, for example, a type in which a moving knife and a fixed knife sandwich a yarn and cut it.
In addition, instead of a structure that is not always fixed and does not move, a format in which the cutting position is moved based on the start of sewing, and the cutting position is returned to the standby position after cutting may be adopted.

The cloth feeding device 54 includes two cloth feeding rollers 5.
4A, 54B is an apparatus of a type in which a cloth is sandwiched from above and below and fed. Then, the cloth feed rollers 54A and 54B are synchronized with a sewing machine motor for moving the sewing needle 10 up and down.
Is rotated, and a predetermined amount of cloth is moved while the sewing machine needle 10 is rising. Also, the cloth feed roller 54 is electrically
By controlling the rotation of A and 54B, one of the sewing machine needles 10 is controlled.
The cloth feed amount can be controlled with respect to the ascending and descending times. That is, this control sets the needle drop position of the predetermined stitch and the next stitch to the same point from the start of sewing, or sets the cloth feed amount of the last stitch to zero based on the operation of the end of sewing such as pedal operation. The feed control of the cloth is enabled. The cloth feeder can also be constituted by a general cloth feeder of a sewing machine that converts the rotational motion of the lower shaft of the sewing machine into up-and-down and back-and-forth swinging motions and feeds the cloth by the cloth feed teeth. Such a cloth feeder is provided with a mechanism for changing the cloth feed amount by shifting the vertical swing of the cloth feed tooth and the synchronization of the swing back and forth, and moving this mechanism by an actuator. The feed amount can be reduced to zero and the same point can be stitched twice or more.

FIGS. 5A and 5B are perspective views showing stitches at a sewing start portion formed by the single thread ring stitch sewing machine 1. FIG. 5A is a full view thereof, and FIG. 5B is an enlarged view of the second stitches. is there. The cloth feed is controlled to a feed amount “0” between the second and third stitches from the start of sewing, so that the needle drop positions of the second and third stitches are the same. The count of the number of stitches is calculated by a sensor for detecting the upper position of the sewing needle bar and a known CPU. Then, the looper knits the yarn twice to form the knot 30 during the two needle drops. In addition, a stitch indicates a unit of the number of needle drops. Further, the thread trimming / thread holding device 20 holds the thread end from the start of sewing to the second or more stitches, and the tension is applied to the thread by this holding to tighten the knot 30. When the stitch has advanced to the several stitches, the thread end is cut by the thread end cutter 12 near the upper surface of the cloth, and the thread end is no longer held. In addition, as shown in FIG. 6 which is a perspective view of the seam at the start of sewing when the thread is not held, the knot 30 is formed without the thread,
The knot 30 is not tightened and the yarn is not locked by the knot 30 in a weak state. For example, the knot 30 is tightened by pulling the thread end L0 after the knot 30 is formed, for example, after sewing is completed. Can also.

FIG. 7 is a perspective view showing a state in the middle of forming a seam at the end of sewing, and FIG. 8 is a perspective view of a seam at the end of sewing completed. When the sewing end process is started, first, only the sewing machine motor rotates without rotating the cloth feed motor, and the sewing machine needle 10 makes one rotation from the needle lower position to the needle lower position. By this processing, the sewing needle 10 is dropped twice at the same point at the last stitch. During this time, the thread is knitted twice by the looper 11 to form the knot 40. Next, the sewing needle 10 makes a half turn from the needle lower position to the needle upper position. By this processing, the thread connected to the sewing machine needle 10 is pulled up by the movement of the sewing machine needle 10 and the balance, and tension is applied to the thread. Then, the knot 40 is tightened by this tension. When the sewing needle 10 reaches the top dead center, the air piston 23 of the thread cutting / thread holding device 20 is operated,
The moving knife 21 largely unwinds the thread passing between the sewing needle 10 and the cloth (see FIG. 7). Then, the yarn is further pulled up in the direction of arrow G by this twisting, and the knot 40 is firmly tightened. Thereafter, the thread is cut by the thread cutting / thread holding device 20, and the thread connected to the sewing needle 10 is held by the thread cutting / thread holding device 20. When the cloth is pulled out in the feed direction after cutting the yarn, the yarn end L9 becomes the needle hole of the needle plate, the knot 40.
Through the frictional resistance, the knot 40 is further tightened by the frictional resistance. In addition, removal of the cloth after the yarn cutting can be performed by using a cloth feeder.

Finally, the knot (seam) 30 at the start of sewing will be described with reference to FIG. The knot 30 formed at the beginning of sewing passes through the first needle drop position (first needle drop position) and extends to the second needle drop position on the lower surface of the cloth, and has a loop-like first loop portion L1, L2. And two first passing thread portions L3 and second passing thread portions L4 passing through a second needle drop position (second needle drop position), and a fourth stitch from the second stitch drop position on the lower surface of the cloth. And a second loop portion L5, L6 having a loop shape extending to the needle drop position (third needle drop position). The third needle is at the same needle drop position as the second needle. The upper end of the first passing thread portion L3 is connected to one of the first loop portions L1 and L2 (L2) on the upper surface of the cloth, and the upper end of the second passing thread portion L4 is the fourth needle drop on the upper surface of the fabric. And the lower end of the second passing thread portion L4
One end (L5) of the loop portions L5, L6, the lower end of the first passing thread portion L3 passes through the inside of the first loop portions L1, L2 from top to bottom, and then both ends of the second loop portions L5, L6. And then pass through the inside of the first loop portions L1 and L2 from below to the other side of the second loop portions L5 and L6 (L

As described above, according to the single thread ring stitch sewing machine 1 of this embodiment, the thread end at the start of sewing is conventionally reduced by the thread trimmer / thread holding device 20 which holds the thread above the cloth at the start of sewing. The sewing can be finished in a state where it does not fall below the cloth and remains on the upper side. Therefore, compared to the conventional stitches in which the thread ends at the start of sewing are pulled out to the lower side of the cloth, the stitches at the start of sewing are strengthened, and it is possible to realize stitching that is difficult to release. Further, since the needle is dropped twice at the same point at the second stitch, the knot 30 can be formed by the looper knitting the yarn twice at the same point. The knot 30 can realize sewing that is difficult to release. Furthermore, when forming the knot 30, since the thread end is held by the thread cutting / thread holding device 20 and a strong tension is applied to the thread, the knot 30 to be formed is more firmly tied, and It is possible to realize sewing that is difficult to unravel. In addition, the yarn end cutter 12
Accordingly, the thread end L0 held by the thread cutting / thread holding device 20 and protruding toward the upper surface side of the cloth can be cut at a position close to the upper surface of the cloth, and a beautifully finished sewing can be realized.

At the last stitch, the needle is dropped twice at the same point to form a knot 40. After the knot 40 is formed, the sewing machine needle 10 is lifted to pull the thread, and thereafter the thread is cut and held. Since the device 20 pulls the yarn and places a large tension on the yarn, this tension allows the knot to be tightly tied. Further, when picking up the cloth, the thread end at the end of the sewing passes through the needle hole of the needle plate and the above-mentioned stitch with frictional resistance, so that the knot is further tightened by this frictional resistance, and the seam is stitched. It is possible to realize sewing that is difficult to unravel.

It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the single thread and ring stitch sewing machine 1 of the present embodiment, and various modifications can be made. For example, the place to form the knot at the start of sewing is 2
It is preferable that the stitches are stitched, but the third and fourth stitches also make it difficult to unravel the vicinity of the start of sewing. Further, the needle may be dropped not only twice at the same point at the start or end of sewing but also at least twice. In addition, the material to be sewn includes not only cloth but also various things such as paper. Further, the thread holding means and the thread cutting means are not integrated, but may have a separate configuration, and the specific configuration may be variously changed. In addition, since the yarn holding means is configured to hold the yarn by the action of the actuator, after the yarn end is cut by the yarn end cutting means,
It is also possible to release the held lint and suck and discharge it with a vacuum or the like.
