Descrizione Description
1- 2- 4; (ovvero su platine-ganci come PG in fig. 3). In fig. The current production of hosiery is characterized by the fact that the knitted tube corresponding to the toe of the stocking is sewn after the production of the same with machinery and personal accessories. Some methods recently adopted to automatically close said toe during the production of the sock make textile machines much more complex and expensive, that is, they propose reductive solutions limited to certain types and or finenesses of sock machines. In summary, a first method extracts and transports the sock from the weaving machine to an external linking machine for suturing the toe. A second method proposes a complex and delicate device placed inside the needle cylinder to overturn the stitch from one side to the other. A third method re-proposes in a modern key a patent from the sixties characterized by a foldable half-dial of the hooks: a solution that is only apparently simple. Finally, a fourth method, only theoretical, proposes a solution halfway between the first and third of the above methods, using a heavy, complex and expensive device on the outside of the needle cylinder: a mobile half-ring equipped with hooks provided with opposing heels , housed in radial millings with relative cam tracks and commands, of dubious and expensive implementation. The present invention intends to eliminate or reduce at least in part the limits and costs described, therefore a primary purpose is to provide a method and the relative apparatus for the automatic closure, even partial, of a sock or other knitted article in general, after prior temporary transfer of a part of the knitted tube from one needle bed (and or backing pad) to another needle bed (and or cylinder), on a plurality of fixed, or mobile and or elastic elements housed in the cylinder, needles excluded. An additional purpose is to provide a method and the relative apparatus for transferring at least one edge of knitting from one half of the needle cylinder to the other (or other needle bed) by means of a movable element or half-ring integrated in said cylinder, equipped with suitable elements such as points or hooks able to receive first, and then transfer, even indirectly, this link to other needles and or additional sinkers and or hooks of the pad and or hooks, after overturning by about 180 ° and more, from its initial position. Another main object is to provide a method and apparatus for producing a stocking having at least one knit border, even exceeding, inside and or outside the stocking, also double and or folded, at the beginning and or at the end of the product, therefore in correspondence with the suture. and o tip and o edge and o unthreading. Further objectives and purposes are evident to those skilled in the art from the accompanying description, examples and drawings, on their own or in combination with each other, in addition to the final claims. The characteristics of the invention and the advantages deriving from it result more clearly from the following description of exemplary embodiments referred to a machine for men's socks equipped with hooks in the pad. With the technical variants of the case, it is applied to the generality of machines for socks and or knitting, starting from the edge and or from the toe. In a first embodiment, the sock starts from the toe with the usual production of knit preferably on about one half of the rotating cylinder with alternating or continuous motion, together with the overlying hooks U -UE housed in the pad, tab. 1, figs. 1-2-3, designed to hold the initial knit edge. Once a sufficient quantity of stitch has been produced, arranged on two levels, upper stitch MS and lower stitch MI, the needles A descend and the hooks U of the pad (and other movable parts housed therein) come out in the position UE, preferably guided by the usual device to mobile cams, possibly modified. Therefore, the temporary transfer of stitches from the lowered pad to the cylinder takes place on the flexible and or elastic and or oscillating hooks, raised for this purpose, G in figs. 1- 2- 4; (ie on sinkers-hooks like PG in fig. 3). In the present case, fig. 1, the hook G, (fixed to the folding half-ring SR, seen in plan: 3 - 3A in fig. 14), is lifted by the action of the thrust plate PS, preferably associated with the traditional mesh plate PM and housed in the same cut , or in additional cuts, even vertical ones, obtained on the external circumference of the sinker crown. The aforementioned hook G is inserted into the hook and or between the hooks UE in order to take and or receive the edge of the upper stitch MS. In other embodiments of the invention, the opposite may be convenient whereby the elevated position of the said hook G, corresponding to the rest or starting position, is modified so that the said hooks are temporarily lowered and then automatically resume the usual elevated position. The PS sinker is provided with at least one heel that follows the profile of control cams similar to those of the PM link sinkers and with at least one upper hump with one or more inclined and or beveled and or rounded planes, acting directly on the overlying hook G. L The radial excursion of the PS plate affects the position of the hook G in relation to the overlying hook of the backing pad. In fig.
10-12, oppure come nelle figg.15- 23. Detto semianello SR, figg.1-2-3 in sezione, 2 in fig. 13, oppure 3 -3a in fig. 1- 2 - 3 - 4 in sezione, oppure STI in pianta, fig. 2 the invention uses the thrust plate PS differently, which preferably oscillates only vertically to modify the position of the overlying hook G. At the beginning of the sock, it is sometimes convenient to use a variable number of needles A and or hooks U with respect to the exact half , such as, for example, more or less one or two units in correspondence of the median line and then overturn a part of the stitch lower or higher than the middle, in order to reduce the knitting tensions and to ensure the complete closure of the toe, together with other textile, technical, and aesthetic advantages. In summary, it is within the scope of the invention to graduate the initial number of needles and or hooks corresponding to the diametrical line of the cylinder and or pad to obtain different degrees of suturing of the toe of the stocking, such as 4-5-6-7 in figs. 10-12, or as in figs.15-23. The hooks G normally operate in a position close to the hooks of the lowered pad, figs. 1-2-3 -4 therefore in proximity and or correspondence with the lowering plane of the PM sinkers, a variable position also and above all after overturning, fig. 4, (G1-G2) Gì). In accordance with the invention and with respect to the standard, the external crown of the sinkers is increased and modified, even partially, with blades or appendages obtained during the processing of the same crown, or inserted thereafter and or replaceable. These are vertical "separator heels", TS in figs. 2- 3 - 4, of variable dimensions and or shapes, with functions of separators between the aforementioned hooks and or of support to the folding half-ring SR and or bracket ST, and or of seat and anchoring for said half-ring, and other functions. In fact the number and or the arrangement of the aforementioned beads TS, not necessarily equivalent to the fineness of the machine, forms a support surface for the overturned (and or overturned) half-ring ST in fig. 3, for example. Said half-ring SR, figs 1-2-3 in section, 2 in fig. 13, or 3 -3a in fig. 14 seen in plan, it is provided with teeth and or appendages and or hooks G also variously arranged: upwards and or oblique, long and or short; or preferably equipped with rigid lamellae as 2 in fig. 8, therefore ending with at least one hook G, of different shape and or size, in any case suitable for inserting and or hooking the link and or arranging it in the optimal position to be subsequently taken, overturned and or knotted by any other hooks, and or needles and or hooks of the pad and or others movable parts housed in the -e bed-and-bed. The aforementioned half-ring SR, also formed by several parts or sectors variously connected, such as 3 -4-5 -6 and or 12 in fig. 13, is pivoted at at least one end to the said separator beads TS preferably in correspondence with the midline of the cylinder; the parts are articulated to each other by means of at least one pin or hinge whose axis is preferably diametrical to the cylinder of the needles. Taking into account the inevitable technical-textile differences that affect the various types of knitting machines and hosiery in particular (gauges, diameters, double cylinders, female and male hosiery), in different realizations this articulation is obtained by adopting other usual techniques concerning the connection of mechanical parts by means of pins, hooks, balls, joints, joints and any other similar means suitable for the purpose. According to the invention, the half-ring SR is supported and or guided by a support or bracket ST for overturning, figs. 1- 2 - 3 - 4 in section, or TSI in plan, fig. 14, preferably C-shaped, located in proximity to the case or cover of the sinkers CP figs. 1 -2-3-4, or inserted at least partially, also under the upper floor of the same. Said bracket ST represents the end of a small curved arm BR e or BRI overturned, fig. 14, which preferably extends up to about 90 ° from the median line. The arm BR with ST bracket performs different functions: it supports, lifts, guides and overturns the aforementioned half-ring SR from one side of the cylinder to the other and or vice versa. Therefore said arm is functionally and or structurally connected to at least one control device of various types: mechanical, pneumatic, electric, electro-mechanical, preferably governed by the microprocessor. Once the cylinder has been stopped in the foreseen position, the yarn guides and or the pad and or other overlying needle bed, if necessary, have been moved far enough away (as a rule these parts are raised but variations in this regard are possible, such as overturning and or lateral displacement and or retraction), the the arm BR lifts the half-ring overturning it up to 180 ° and beyond, if necessary, according to the different embodiments for example Gl - G2-G3, in fig. 4. The folding half-ring SR integrated in the cylinder, variously anchored and or articulated, rotates solidly with it; when overturned, it slips off and or raises the shirt, like a comb. In other embodiments, said half-ring SR is formed by two movable parts variously connected as for example 12 in fig, 13, which, during and or after the overturning action, modify their positions by expanding in correspondence with the diametrical and articulation line 13 in fig, 13, in order to allow a greater coverage area to place the needles placed on the median line and around. This expansion is produced by the juxtaposition of parts and or inclined planes (not shown) or cams designed to move the single part of the half-ring outwards, which in turn is provided with a suitable cam. On the other hand, the invention allows to expand the link MS released by the hooks UE in different ways, either by means of hooks G which can be individually adjusted in their seat also by means of general tightening screws such as 7 and or individual ones such as 9 in fig. 13, or with the radial excursion of the single sinkers-hooks PG in relation to the other moving parts concurrent to the formation of the stitch and or closed point, figs. 5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12. Or, with the asymmetrical overturning of the SR half-ring, by itself or together with the variables just described. In the preferred embodiment of FIG. 3 the external crown of the cylinder is also equipped with movable PG hooks-sinkers, supplied with control heels and or with individual springs MO, that is, with its own structural elasticity (the so-called elastic jack), housed in the relative cuts, sliding and oscillating, suitable for to take or receive the initial link MS of the hooks UE, transferred to the respective rigid hooks G placed radially on the half-ring SR. This embodiment differs clearly from the previous ones in figs. 1 and 2 for various reasons: the hooks G in fig. 3 receive the link from the sinkers-hooks PG and not directly from the hooks UE; moreover, said hooks are not activated or controlled by the underlying thrust plates SP being in practice pointed rigid lamellae similar to the teeth of a reed, between which the sinkers PG hooks operate and or are inserted to transfer the link thereon. After the SR half-ring has been overturned, the needle cylinder is completely covered by a knitted disk. Under usual conditions, however variable by the user, the second half of the aforementioned textile disc appears wider than the first, still attached to the needles. The subsequent ascent of the needles, (and or of the sinkers PG hooks) even without thread and or in the "held" position, a term known to experts, produces the lowering and knitting of the fabric, facilitating the return of the SR half-ring to its original location with a movement reverse of the BRI arm, fig. 14. (If necessary, preceded by a short preparatory vertical movement to facilitate the release of the hooks from the shirt). In particular conditions, the release of the hooks G of the half-ring SR, still interlocked, can be facilitated by the particular conformation of the same, even partially oscillating and or articulated as 5 in fig. 4. If necessary, the use of a mechanical, pneumatic or other type of stitch presser is envisaged in order to press the stitch in coordination with the rising of the needles and or to fold the excess fabric or knit edge inside the cylinder, after overturning and knitting. In accordance with the invention, the embodiment of Figure 3 also allows a different location and use of the half-ring SR, which, in this case separated from the cylinder, is placed above the sinker cover, on which it is articulated, rotates only temporarily and overturns. The rotation movement is obtained through the insertion or the programmed engagement of pins and other transmission elements (not shown) between the sinkers case and the underlying cylinder or crown, also relatively modified for the purpose, for example, with holes and or seats obtained above the aforementioned TS separator beads. The scope of the present invention also includes the modification of the path of the stitch sinkers PM, partially or totally withdrawn as PM2 in fig. 4, preferably on the occasion of the transfer of the stitch in general, both during the transfer from the hooks of the pad to the hooks G and PG, and during the subsequent knitting after the overturning of the half-ring SR. In a different embodiment of the present invention, not shown, the platen PS and the platen-hook PG are inserted in the circumference of the external crown, characterized by slats and or vertical cuts, even offset and or additional to those usual for the sinkers, so that the parts therein housed they operate inserted between the knitted sinkers, preferably in correspondence with the individual needles. According to the control device and or profile of the relative cams, said hooks follow an undulatory and or radial and or oscillating path. In the many embodiments falling within the scope of the present invention, the regular suturing of the toe of the stocking is produced, that is, the optimal matching between the initial knitting edge and the subsequent knitting on the opposite side of the cylinder; or, alternatively, also different sutures, characterized by one or more hems or excess mesh margins, internal and external to the stocking, variously and synthetically illustrated from figures 15 to 23 included, commented below. In summary, these are additional and optional hems and or borders of mesh, variously produced and or arranged for aesthetic-ornamental or textile reasons, for greater comfort or to cover and enhance the suture. The displacement of this excess mesh or border towards the inside of the cylinder before suturing occurs in various ways: by means of a mechanical or pneumatic mesh press, with the aid of the outlets and or moving parts connected or inserted therein, by means of compressed and or aspirated air, and or other suitable means placed in proximity to the sinkers cover.
Breve descrizione delle figure Brief description of the figures
The relative simplicity of the present invention provides rather schematic drawings. Tav.l. Figure 1 shows in section the temporary release of stitch with the thrust plate PS provided with an upper inclined plane acting on the overlying elastic hook G with the upper point inserted in the hook of the pad UE with the initial knitting edge MS. The hook G is fixed to the folding half-ring SR guided by the bracket ST placed on the sinker case CP. The lowered needle A holds the stitch MI with the stitch plate PM in the forward position. Fig. 2 shows in section an embodiment of the invention different from the previous one due to the shape and functions of the thrust plate PS, inserted between the vertical separator heels TS, whose lifting action towards the overlying hook G is obtained by vertical oscillation, favored if the case, from the spring MO. Fig. 3 illustrates a preferred embodiment of the invention characterized in that the link MS of the hooks is transferred directly to vertically oscillating and radially movable hook sinkers PG in order to transport and transfer this link to the tip of the rigid hooks G, similar to pointed lamellae. The SR half-ring is placed inside the CP sinker case on the external TS separator beads obtained on the surface of the sinker crown, while other internal TS separator beads divide the PG hook sinkers. Table 2. Fig. 4, similar to 2, represents a different configuration and function of the hook G, pivoted, movable or oscillating on the folding half-ring SR, with a rear tail able to produce an elastic force for returning to the initial position. The upper stitch MS, after the overturning of the half-ring SR, assumes the position MS 1 near the opposite needles while the hook G, overturned, assumes various positions: central Gl, or G2 with articulated hook 5. Finally, the hook G3 appears overturned even further 180 °. The different positions affect the knitting of the needles A1 in various ways, which also lower the fabric MSI according to the arrow F3 in order to facilitate the release of the tips of the hooks G. The knitting plate MP2 is very backward in the present case. N.B. With the sock started from the edge, the closure of the toe is obtained by transporting approximately one half of the knitted tube to the opposite side of the cylinder, so that the whole of Figure 4 would be illustrated in a different way. Figures 5-6-7-8 briefly illustrate some shapes and functions of the G hooks. In fig. 5 the hook 2 swings on the fulcrum 3 inserted in the folding half-ring 1. 5 indicates a further joint for a greater vertical oscillation of the tip 6 raised by pressure below it against 4. Figure 6 shows the folding half-ring formed by 1 and 3, including the elastic hook 2 is tightened, provided with two opposing points 6, pushed by 4 for vertical oscillations. Figure 7 shows the folding half-ring 1 with tightening screw 3 suitable for adjusting the radial and individual position of the hook 2 with forked tip 6. Figure 8 shows the rigid hook 2 equipped with appendix or tip 6 housed or obtained on the folding half-ring 1 guided by bracket 3. Table 3. Fig. 9 illustrates in part an embodiment of the invention adapted to produce the widely varying hatched area 3 of FIG. 10 in relation to the needles 2, to the cylinder 1, to the median line 4, while 5 and 7 indicate the tolerances or the presence or absence of the initial stitch before and after the diametric line 6. Figure 11 shows the overturning of the half-ring 1 according to the arrow F so that the upper link MS, already in the hooks 2, is knitted by the needles Al. The described operation produces the hatched stitch area 3 A of Figure 12, again in relation to the needles 2 and the cylinder 1, with the important variables 4 and 6 concerning the presence and absence of stitch with respect to the median line S. Obviously the areas of stitches exceeding 3 and 3 A of Figures 10 and 12 are the result of programmed configurations with the concurrence of the movable and fixed parts such as the hooks G, the sinkers, the hooks PG and others.
Fig. 13 shows in plan the cylinder of the needles 1, the position of the needles 10, the folding half-ring 2, inserted in the cylinder, formed if necessary by two parts connected in the center as 12, or by upper segments as 3 -4 - 5 -6 fixed to the lower part by means of the screws 7, suitable for fixing the hooks 8 and 8a between the two parts, or only with sectors 4 supplied with screws 9 for also individually tightening the hooks 8b and 8c. Obviously, said hooks can operate between the needles or in line with the needles. Finally, the sector 6 can move marginally in correspondence with the median line 13 during or after the overturning by means of the contrast of inclined planes or cams, not shown, for the optimal coverage of the mesh in correspondence with the suture. Figure 14 shows in plan the half 1 of the cylinder with the folding half-ring 3 held by the terminal bracket ST of the curved arm BR governed by the electric motor ME. After overturning on the second half of cylinder 2, said parts become 3a, STI and BRI. The table 4 shows various toe sutures falling within the scope of the invention, which have already been illustrated in an even more complete manner in the patent application entitled "Improvements and innovations in the production of socks and other knitted articles". Fig. 15 shows the flaps of stitches L1 and L2 approached in the best possible way for a linear suture obtained with the correct knitting after overturning. Fig. 16 shows the flap L 2 exceeding and external with respect to the flap L1, obtained with the production of additional rows of knitting at the beginning of the sock or before the overturning of the half-ring. Fig. 17 shows the flap L2 analogous to fig.
16, together with the edge L1 obtained by folding inside the cylinder, with a stop and or other described means, the resulting excess and external stitch after the overturning of the half-ring and subsequent knitting of the needles. Fig. 18 shows the external flap exceeding LE, which, when folded inwards, assumes the position LI. Fig. 19 shows the edge L2 produced by the fixed selection of the odd needles and the exclusion of the even ones for some rows, after the overturning of SR and knitting. Fig. 20 shows the knitting bead L2 produced as 19 but with the excess edge L1 on the outside. Fig. 21, similar to 15, shows the normal flap L1 covered or followed by the external knitting cord L2 produced with the hooks for at least one machine revolution. Fig. 22 is a variant of 18 whereby the excess outer edge is moved inside the cylinder by means of a suitable element. Finally fig. 23 shows the double flap L1 and simple L2 produced at the beginning of the sock with the fixed selection of the needles and or with the hooks. The invention allows a wide range of embodiments which can be understood by the experts and therefore the present description is necessarily schematic. The details of execution can vary in an equivalent way in the shape, dimensions and or location, as well as for the nature of the technical and textile materials used, remaining however within the scope of the present patent.
