DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
dell'invenzione industriale avente per titolo: of the industrial invention entitled:
The present invention relates to a heat exchanger with burner provided with mixing and distribution chambers and with a plurality of burner nozzles for parallel combustion pipes.
As is known, heat exchangers are designed with the aim of achieving an exchange of thermal energy between two fluids having different temperatures. Typically, combustion products, such as fumes and water vapor, are used to exchange heat with the surrounding environment, in the case of a hot air generator, or with a liquid, in the case of a boiler.
For example, it is known from the Italian patent application n. 102015000028292, filed on 26/06/2015 in the name of the same applicant, a heat exchanger comprising a premixed gas burner with mixing and distribution chambers and a plurality of further mixing and exit nozzles for single flames, a plurality of combustion pipes having a first end connected to a respective one of said nozzles, a reversal fitting to which a second end of said combustion tubes is connected, a plurality of heat exchanger tubes having one end connected to said reversing fitting and extending therefrom in a parallel and inverse direction with respect to said combustion pipes and a chamber for suction and discharge of fumes and condensate arranged in proximity to said burner and connected to the other end of said exchanger pipes.
In the aforementioned heat exchanger, respective separate flames are formed through the various outlet nozzles, which complete the combustion inside the combustion pipes.
This can cause problems with regard to the heat of the flames inside the combustion pipes and the heat resistance of the pipes themselves, which may not withstand flames at too high temperatures. The consequence can be a poor efficiency of the exchanger if the temperature of the combustion flames is too low or a rapid deterioration of the combustion pipes if the temperature of the combustion flames is higher.
In view of this state of the art, the object of the present invention is to provide a heat exchanger with a small footprint that has high efficiency and long life.
In accordance with the present invention, said object is achieved by means of a heat exchanger comprising a mixed gas burner formed by a pre-mixed gas supply unit and a head including a mixing chamber, a gas distribution panel and heat protection with slots. , a distribution chamber and a plurality of burner nozzles arranged according to a geometric scheme for the outlet of individual separate flames, a plurality of combustion pipes being also provided having a first end connected to a respective one of said nozzles, an inversion fitting to which a second end of said combustion tubes is connected, a plurality of heat exchanger tubes having one end connected to said inversion fitting and extending therefrom in a parallel and reverse direction with respect to said combustion tubes and an intake chamber and exhaust fumes and condensate arranged in proximity to said head e connected to the other end of said exchanger tubes, characterized by the fact that said first end of the combustion tubes is internally protected by a muffle made of a material capable of resisting the heat produced by the flames coming out of said nozzles.
The muffle can be made of ceramic or made of polycrystalline fibers with a high quantity of vitreous alumina and / or with flexible ceramic fibers or with any other material with high heat resistance. In this way the combustion pipes and their welds are preserved from premature deterioration even in the case of the exchanger operating with high combustion temperatures.
The characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become evident from the following detailed description of a practical embodiment thereof, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, in which:

Figure 1 shows a heat exchanger according to the present invention. In particular, it is a heat exchanger capable of carrying out the heat exchange both between a gas and air, which is the case of use in hot air generators, and between a gas and water, which is the case of use in boilers. In the latter case, the heat exchanger will be clearly inserted in a watertight casing (not shown in the figures) with an appropriately sized water inlet and outlet.
As shown in Figures 1-3, said heat exchanger comprises a burner 1 with low polluting emissions inserted in a head 2 placed at one end of the heat exchanger. Said burner 1 comprises a premixed gas supply unit (40) having a first inlet 3 provided with a venturi with gas valve for supplying combustion gases and a second inlet 4 for supplying combustion gas. For example, gas the oxidizing agent can be air, while the combustible gas can be a generic hydrocarbon (methane, ethane, propane, butane, etc.).
The head 2 comprises a mixing chamber 5 suitable for mixing the combustion gases and combustion gases (Fig. 3) and a subsequent distribution chamber 6 separated by a distribution wall 7 with slots 8 (Fig. 3, 4 and 8) which have the task of creating turbulence in the passage of the gases from the mixing chamber to the distribution chamber before the premixed gases reach the burner nozzles. Associated with the burner 1 is an ignition electrode 9, fed with a voltage of a few thousand volts, suitable for obtaining a spark for the ignition of the combustion flames, and a detection electrode 50 suitable for detecting the presence of the flames (Fig. 6).
The distribution chamber 6 provides for a plurality of burner nozzles 10 (Fig. 3-6) arranged according to a geometric scheme, which allow to increase the degree of gas mixing and to separate the mixture into a plurality of single flames. Each nozzle 10 is formed by a mesh structure 11 and by a concave cover 12 consisting of a mesh of steel wires (Fig. 7).
The set of components of the burner 1 is designed in such a way as to keep the external part of the head 2 (in particular, the venturi and the gas valve) suitably cooled by means of an appropriate positioning of the distribution and separation panel 7.
In front of each burner nozzle 10 a respective exchanger tube 13 is arranged and welded in which the final combustion of the gases takes place and which is part of a plurality of combustion tubes 13 (Figures 1, 3 and 4) which run parallel to each other up to an inversion fitting 14 (Fig. 1) adapted to lead the fumes generated by combustion towards a plurality of exchanger pipes 15 connected to it and, subsequently, towards a fumes expulsion and condensate drain fitting 16.
A respective heat protection muffle 17 is inserted at the inlet of each combustion tube 13 (Figures 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11), which can be made of ceramic material or be made of polycrystalline fibers with a high amount of alumina. vitreous and / or with flexible ceramic fibers or with any other material with high heat resistance. The muffle has a cylindrical body 18 with longitudinal cut 19 and end flange 20 facing outwards, as shown in Figures 10 and 11.
In order to improve the heat exchange and contain the transverse bulk, each of the combustion pipes 13 has a suitable shape (Fig. 1) which is obtained starting from a circular profile pipe and includes a central portion 21 with a flattened profile (visible also in Fig. 9), two intermediate portions 22 with a substantially conical profile and two terminal portions 23, 24 with a circular profile.
Each exchanger pipe 15 (Fig. 1) instead has a flattened profile along its entire length, thus containing the overall dimensions of the heat exchanger, and is connected between said inversion fitting 14 and said flue gas expulsion and condensate discharge fitting 16 .
Finally, said condensate expulsion and drain connection 16 is provided with an external fan 25 with manifold 26 for the suction and discharge of the combustion exhaust products. Thanks to said fan 25 the exchanger and the burner 1 operate completely in conditions of depression.
In operation, the combustive and combustion gases are sucked into the burner 1 through the venturi of the power supply unit, first into the mixing chamber 5 and from there into the distribution chamber 6 through the slots 7. The gas mixture thus obtained undergoes a further mixing inside the distribution chamber 6. The burner nozzle 10 with their mesh structure 11 and cover mesh 12 (Fig. 7) determines the final mixing before the ignition of the combustion flame.
In the burner 1, by means of the ignition electrode 9, single combustion flames are ignited which are distributed according to the geometric scheme provided for the positioning of the burner nozzles 10. In particular, there is a flame that branches off and is present in correspondence with each of said burner nozzles 10.
As mentioned, each burner nozzle 10 is located at the inlet of a combustion tube 13 and therefore the flame generated develops in each tube 13, internally carrying out the final combustion of the mixed gases and producing radiation and combustion fumes. The muffles 17 provided at the inlet of the pipes 13, where the individual combustion flames develop, protect the combustion pipes 13, preventing their premature deterioration, even in the event of high temperature flames, thus allowing the use of the heat exchanger in conditions of high thermal efficiency.
The fumes generated by combustion are collected by the inversion fitting 14 and through this they reach the inlet of the exchanger tubes 15. Once through the exchanger tubes 15, the fumes end their journey through the heat exchanger inside the expulsion fitting fumes and condensate discharge 16. The fan 25 aspirates the fumes towards the outside for their expulsion from the heat exchanger.
In this way, part of the heat is released by the combustion tubes 13 and part is released by the exchanger tubes 15, realizing the exchange of thermal energy with the surrounding environment (or with water, in the case of use in boilers).
