Abstract

Una protesi matacarpo-falangea e/o interfalangea (1), particolarmente per le articolazioni della mano o del piede, comprende una coppia di steli (2, 3) impiantabili in ossa contigue di un'articolazione da ripristinare e collegate da un giunto flessibile (4) incapsulato in un involucro protettivo formato con lo stesso materiale biocompatibile degli steli. L'involucro è costituito da una coppia di semigusci (5, 6) solidali ai rispettivi steli che si estendono assialmente da lati opposti rispetto ad un piano di simmetria longitudinale (S) intersecante perpendicolarmente l'asse di rotazione (a) del giunto. In una prima forma di realizzazione, l'asse (a) è definito da una barretta cilindrica (13) inserita in cavità assiali dei semigusci e libera di ruotare rispetto ad almeno uno di essi con flessibilità limitata in un piano perpendicolare all'asse di rotazione (a). In una seconda forma di realizzazione la barretta (13) è sostituita da un'appendice cilindrica (13') o semisferica (13") di uno degli steli. L'asse (a) può essere definito da una molla elicoidale (14, 17) o da fili elastici assiali (23, 24) ancorati agli steli con barrette di estremità trasversali (25, 26).
