Abstract

The current collector ring is fixed to the rotor shaft (2) of a rotating electrical machine, e.g. a vehicle dynamo, and has two adjacent collector tracks (4, 5). The collector ring is made from a plastics core (3) which is push-fitted over the rotor shaft (2) the front end and rear collector tracks (4, 5) at least partially enclosing the external surface of the core (3). The core (3) has several annular sectors (6), with the two independent collector tracks (4, 5) held on the core (3), by the expansion of the latter, allowed by the annular sectors (6), when the core (3) is push-fitted over the rotor shaft (2). The annular sectors (6) comprising the core (3) may be independent of one another, or integrally formed with the sectors extending from a solid ring.
