1443581 Paper-making composition HOECHST AG 11 June 1974 [12 June 1973] 25849/74 Heading C3P [Also in Division D2] Polyolefin fibres are interacted with polyvinyl alcohol and an aldehyde carboxylic acid of formula where n is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 or a hydrate thereof. The mixture can be made by pro-reacting the polyvinyl alcohol and the aldehyde carboxylic acid or by adding the polyvinyl alcohol to the fibres and reacting in situ. [GB1443581A]
