Abstract

1356470 Arylguanidines SEPERIC 23 May 1972 [2 June 1971] 18510/71 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula and their acid addition salts with pharmaceutically acceptable acids, wherein R and R<SP>1</SP> are each H or Me. These compounds are prepared by reacting with RNH 2 N-(2,6-dichlorophenyl)- S - methylisothiourea or N - (2,6 - dichlorophenyl) - N<SP>1</SP>, S - dimethylisothiourea (preferably in the form of hydroiodide). Details are also given for the preparation of N-(2,6-dichlorophenyl)-N<SP>1</SP>-methylthiourea. Therapeutic compositions for oral or parenteral administration comprise compounds of the above formula, which have hypotensive activity. [GB1356470A]
